本発明は、受信器に関する。
LTE(Long Term Evolution)方式において、下りリンクにおいて、セル端スループットの改善方法の1つとして、干渉となる他の移動局UEのビームを抑圧するIRC(Interference Rejection Combining)受信器の検討が行われている。
図7(a)に示すように、IRC受信器10は、干渉信号を抑圧しながら、所望信号の受信品質を向上させることを目的としている。
また、LTE(Release-8)方式では、チャネル状態(CSI:Channel State Information)の推定や、データ信号及び制御信号の復調や、セルにおける受信品質の測定を行うために、CRS(Cell-Specific Reference Signal)が送信されるように構成されている。
具体的には、LTE(Release-8)方式では、CRSは、図7(b)に示す構成によって、データ信号や制御信号と共に送信されるように構成されている。なお、最大4アンテナまで、CRSを設定することができる。
また、LTE方式では、送信ダイバーシチ方式として、SFBC(Space Frequency Block Coding、周波数空間ブロック符号化)方式が用いられるように構成されている。
ここで、シンボルレベルで最大比合成相当の最大のダイバーシチ利得を得ることができる「Alamouti符号化」を用いるように構成されている。すなわち、周波数方向における2つのリソースエレメント(RE:Resource Element)を用いて符号化を行うように構成されている。本明細書では、かかる2つのリソースエレメントを「SFBCペア」と呼ぶ。
以下、図8に示すように、IRC受信器10が、セル1(q=1)から所望信号を受信し、セル2(q=2)から干渉信号を受信するケースにおいて、チャネル変動を無視した場合のIRC受信器10における受信信号モデルについて説明する。

すなわち、かかる技術では、図11に示すように、IRC受信器10は、サービングセル(セル1)において受信したデータ信号に基づいて、共分散行列RI+Nを生成するように構成されている。
具体的には、IRC受信器10は、干渉セル#1/#2において送信されているCRSによる干渉の影響を除くために、かかるCRSが送信されていないOFDMシンボルにおけるデータ信号のみを平均化することが想定される。
また、IRC受信器10は、SFBCペアの偶数番目のリソースエレメント及びSFBCペアの奇数番目のリソースエレメントを分離して平均化することによって、共分散行列RI+Nを生成することが想定されている。
ここで、かかる技術では、SFBCペアの偶数番目のリソースエレメント及びSFBCペアの奇数番目のリソースエレメントを分離して平均化することが想定されるため、平均化処理に用いられるサンプル数が少なくなってしまい、共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度が劣化し、正確なIRC受信ウェイトを生成することができず、IRC受信器10における干渉抑圧精度が劣化してしまうという問題点があった。
そこで、本発明は、上述の課題に鑑みてなされたものであり、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる受信器を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の第1の特徴は、周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、前記データ信号は、2つのリソースエレメントからなる周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位で送信されるように構成されており、推定された前記共分散行列は、前記周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位内の偶数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第1共分散行列及び該周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位内の奇数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第2共分散行列を含むように構成されており、前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、前記第1共分散行列内の要素及び前記第2共分散行列内の要素の各々に対する平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本発明の第2の特徴は、周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上「0」となる要素に対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本発明の第3の特徴は、周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータで表される要素同士で平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本発明の第4の特徴は、周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータで表される要素に対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを要旨とする。
(本発明の第1の実施形態に係る移動通信システム)
図1乃至図6を参照して、本発明の第1の実施形態に係るIRC受信器10について説明する。

図1に示すように、本実施形態に係るIRC受信器10は、チャネル推定部11と、共分散行列推定部12と、共分散行列平均化部13と、パラメータ平均化部14と、0値挿入部15と、共分散行列生成部16と、制御信号復調部17と、IRC受信ウェイト生成部18と、信号分離部19と、復調部20とを具備している。
チャネル推定部11は、サービングセル(セル1)から受信したCRSに基づいてチャネル推定処理を行うことによって、チャネル行列Hを推定(算出)するように構成されている。
共分散行列推定部12は、データ信号に基づいて共分散行列RI+Nを推定するように構成されている。具体的には、共分散行列推定部12は、図10(b)に示す式を用いて、共分散行列RI+Nを推定(算出)するように構成されている。
共分散行列推定部12によって推定(算出)された共分散行列RI+Nは、図2(a)に示すように、SFBCペア内の偶数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第1共分散行列RI+N(2m)及びSFBCペア内の奇数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第2共分散行列RI+N(2m+1)を含む。
ここで、SFBC方式が用いられている場合、理論上、RI+N(2m)=R*
I+N(2m+1)の関係が成立することが知られている。
かかる点を考慮して、共分散行列平均化部13は、図2(b)に示す式を用いて、第1共分散行列RI+N(2m)内の要素及び第2共分散行列RI+N(2m+1)内の要素の各々に対する平均化処理を行うことによって、
を取得するように構成されている。
共分散行列生成部16は、図2(c)に示すように、共分散行列推定部12によって推定(算出)された共分散行列RI+Nに含まれている第1共分散行列RI+N(2m)内の要素及び第2共分散行列RI+N(2m+1)内の要素の各々を、共分散行列平均化部13から受信した
の要素に変更する処理(所定処理)を施すように構成されていてもよい。
図2(b)に示す式を用いた平均化処理を行うことによって、共分散行列RI+Nを推定する際の平均化処理に用いるサンプル数を2倍にしたことと同等の効果を得ることができ、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる。
また、チャネル変動を無視した場合の共分散行列RI+Nは、理論上、図3に示す式によって表される。ここで、図3に示すように、共分散行列RI+N内の要素Aは、チャネル変動を無視した際には、理論上「0」となることが知られている。
かかる点を考慮して、0値挿入部15は、共分散行列生成部16に対して、共分散行列推定部12によって推定された図4(a)に示す共分散行列RI+N内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上「0」となる要素Aに対して「0」を挿入するように指示するように構成されている。
共分散行列生成部16は、0値挿入部15からの指示に応じて、図4(b)に示すように、共分散行列推定部12によって推定された図4(a)に示す共分散行列RI+N内の要素Aに対して「0」を挿入する処理(所定処理)を施すように構成されていてもよい。
図4(b)に示す所定処理を行うことによって、すなわち、理論上「0」となる要素Aに対して「0」を挿入することによって、計算量を低減しつつ、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる。
また、図5(a)及び図5(b)に示すように、共分散行列推定部12によって推定された共分散行列RI+N内の要素Bは、チャネル変動を無視した際には、理論上、1つのパラメータxで表される。
かかる点を考慮して、パラメータ平均化部14は、図5(c)に示す式を用いて、上述の要素B同士で平均化処理を行うことによって、
を取得するように構成されている。
共分散行列生成部16は、図5(d)に示すように、共分散行列推定部12によって推定(算出)された共分散行列RI+Nに含まれている要素Bの各々を、パラメータ平均化部14から受信した
に基づいて変更するように構成されていてもよい。
図5(c)に示す式を用いた平均化処理を行うことによって、共分散行列RI+Nを推定する際の平均化処理に用いるサンプル数を増やしたことと同等の効果を得ることができ、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる。
或いは、共分散行列生成部16は、図6(c)に示すように、0値挿入部15からの指示に応じて、共分散行列推定部12によって推定(算出)された共分散行列RI+Nに含まれている要素Bに対して「0」を挿入する処理(所定処理)を施すように構成されていてもよい。
図6(c)に示す所定処理を行うことによって、すなわち、要素Bに対して「0」を挿入することによって、計算量を低減しつつ、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる。
なお、共分散行列生成部16は、図2(c)に示す処理、図4(b)に示す処理、図5(d)に示す処理及び図6(c)に示す処理のうちの2以上を組み合わせて行うように構成されていてもよい。
制御信号復調部17は、サービングセル(セル1)から受信した制御信号に対する復調処理を行うように構成されている。
IRC受信ウェイト生成部18は、チャネル推定部11から受信したチャネル行列H、制御信号復調部15から受信した制御信号及び共分散行列生成部16から受信した共分散行列RI+N(所定処理が施されている共分散行列RI+N)に基づいて、IRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されている。
具体的には、IRC受信ウェイト生成部18は、図10(a)に示す式に、チャネル推定部11から受信したチャネル行列H及び共分散行列生成部16から受信した共分散行列RI+Nを代入することによって、IRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されている。
信号分離部19は、制御信号復調部17から受信した制御信号及びIRC受信ウェイト生成部18から受信したIRC受信ウェイトWIRCに基づいて、サービングセル(セル1)からの受信信号に対する信号分離処理を行うように構成されている。
復調部20は、制御信号復調部17から受信した制御信号及びIRC受信ウェイト生成部18から受信したIRC受信ウェイトWIRCに基づいて、信号分離部19から受信した信号に対する復調処理を行うことによって、データ信号を出力するように構成されている。
本実施形態に係るIRC受信器10によれば、図2(c)に示す処理、図4(b)に示す処理、図5(d)に示す処理及び図6(c)に示す処理等を用いて、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる。
上述の実施形態では、一例として、IRC受信器10のアンテナ数を「2」として説明したが、本発明は、IRC受信器10のアンテナ数に係わらず実施することが可能である。
以上に述べた本実施形態の特徴は、以下のように表現されていてもよい。
本実施形態の第1の特徴は、SFBC(周波数空間ブロック符号化)方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されているIRC受信器10であって、データ信号に基づいて共分散行列RI+Nを推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部12と、推定された共分散行列RI+Nに対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列平均化部13及び共分散行列生成部16と、所定処理が施された共分散行列RI+N及び制御信号を用いてIRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されているIRC受信ウェイト生成部18と、生成されたIRC受信ウェイトWIRC及び制御信号を用いて受信信号からデータ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部19とを具備し、データ信号は、2つのリソースエレメントからなるSFBCペア(周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位)で送信されるように構成されており、推定された共分散行列RI+Nは、SFBCペア内の偶数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第1共分散行列RI+N(2m)及びSFBCペア内の奇数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第2共分散行列RI+N(2m+1)を含むように構成されており、共分散行列平均化部13及び共分散行列生成部16は、上述の所定処理として、第1共分散行列RI+N(2m)内の要素及び第2共分散行列RI+N(2m+1)内の要素の各々に対する平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本実施形態の第2の特徴は、SFBC方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されているIRC受信器10であって、データ信号に基づいて共分散行列RI+Nを推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部12と、推定された共分散行列RI+Nに対して所定処理を施すように構成されている0値挿入部15及び共分散行列生成部16と、所定処理が施された共分散行列RI+N及び制御信号を用いてIRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されているIRC受信ウェイト生成部18と、生成されたIRC受信ウェイトWIRC及び制御信号を用いて受信信号からデータ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部19とを具備し、0値挿入部15及び共分散行列生成部16は、上述の所定処理として、推定された共分散行列RI+N内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上「0」となる要素Aに対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本実施形態の第3の特徴は、SFBC方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されているIRC受信器10であって、データ信号に基づいて共分散行列RI+Nを推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部12と、推定された共分散行列RI+Nに対して所定処理を施すように構成されているパラメータ平均化部14及び共分散行列生成部16と、所定処理が施された共分散行列RI+N及び制御信号を用いてIRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されているIRC受信ウェイト生成部18と、生成されたIRC受信ウェイトWIRC及び制御信号を用いて受信信号からデータ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部19とを具備し、パラメータ平均化部14及び共分散行列生成部16は、上述の所定処理として、推定された共分散行列RI+N内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータxで表される要素B同士で平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを要旨とする。
本実施形態の第4の特徴は、SFBC方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されているIRC受信器10であって、データ信号に基づいて共分散行列RI+Nを推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部12と、推定された共分散行列RI+Nに対して所定処理を施すように構成されている0値挿入部15及び共分散行列生成部16と、所定処理が施された共分散行列RI+N及び制御信号を用いてIRC受信ウェイトWIRCを生成するように構成されているIRC受信ウェイト生成部18と、生成されたIRC受信ウェイトWIRC及び制御信号を用いて受信信号からデータ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部19とを具備し、0値挿入部15及び共分散行列生成部16は、上述の所定処理として、推定された共分散行列RI+N内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータxで表される要素に対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを要旨とする。
なお、上述のIRC受信器10の動作は、ハードウェアによって実施されてもよいし、プロセッサによって実行されるソフトウェアモジュールによって実施されてもよいし、両者の組み合わせによって実施されてもよい。
ソフトウェアモジュールは、RAM(Random Access Memory)や、フラッシュメモリや、ROM(Read Only Memory)や、EPROM(Erasable Programmable ROM)や、EEPROM(Electronically Erasable and Programmable ROM)や、レジスタや、ハードディスクや、リムーバブルディスクや、CD-ROMといった任意形式の記憶媒体内に設けられていてもよい。
かかる記憶媒体は、プロセッサが当該記憶媒体に情報を読み書きできるように、当該プロセッサに接続されている。また、かかる記憶媒体は、プロセッサに集積されていてもよい。また、かかる記憶媒体及びプロセッサは、ASIC内に設けられていてもよい。かかるASICは、IRC受信器10内に設けられていてもよい。また、かかる記憶媒体及びプロセッサは、ディスクリートコンポーネントとしてIRC受信器10内に設けられていてもよい。
以上、上述の実施形態を用いて本発明について詳細に説明したが、当業者にとっては、本発明が本明細書中に説明した実施形態に限定されるものではないということは明らかである。本発明は、請求の範囲の記載により定まる本発明の趣旨及び範囲を逸脱することなく修正及び変更態様として実施することができる。従って、本明細書の記載は、例示説明を目的とするものであり、本発明に対して何ら制限的な意味を有するものではない。

以上説明したように、本発明によれば、データ信号に基づく共分散行列RI+Nの推定精度を向上させることができる受信器を提供することができる。

- 周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、
前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、
推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、
前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、
生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、
前記データ信号は、2つのリソースエレメントからなる周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位で送信されるように構成されており、
推定された前記共分散行列は、前記周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位内の偶数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第1共分散行列及び該周波数空間ブロック符号化方式単位内の奇数番目のリソースエレメントにおける所望信号成分からなる第2共分散行列を含むように構成されており、
前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、前記第1共分散行列内の要素及び前記第2共分散行列内の要素の各々に対する平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを特徴とする受信器。 - 周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、
前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、
推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、
前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、
生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、
前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上「0」となる要素に対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを特徴とする受信器。 - 周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、
前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、
推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、
前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、
生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、
前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータで表される要素同士で平均化処理を行うように構成されていることを特徴とする受信器。 - 周波数空間ブロック符号化方式を用いて送信されたデータ信号及び制御信号を受信するように構成されている受信器であって、
前記データ信号に基づいて共分散行列を推定するように構成されている共分散行列推定部と、
推定された前記共分散行列に対して所定処理を施すように構成されている共分散行列生成部と、
前記所定処理が施された前記共分散行列及び前記制御信号を用いて受信ウェイトを生成するように構成されている受信ウェイト生成部と、
生成された前記受信ウェイト及び前記制御信号を用いて受信信号から前記データ信号を分離するように構成されている信号分離部とを具備し、
前記共分散行列生成部は、前記所定処理として、推定された前記共分散行列内でチャネル変動を無視した際に理論上1つのパラメータで表される要素に対して「0」を挿入する処理を施すように構成されていることを特徴とする受信器。
