Definitions
- the present invention refers to a vehicle immobilization system by bollards at gas stations, which has been conceived and carried out in order to obtain payment of fuel from all vehicles supplied. .
- This system offers numerous and notable advantages over other existing means of analogous purposes.
- the system is prepared so that when a vehicle is refueling it is immobilized by automatically raising a bollard from the ground in the front of the vehicle, another in the rear and another in the side. Well, the immobilization system will not let the vehicle leave without paying.
- the bollards When the amount of the fuel is paid, the bollards will automatically fall and remain at the ground level of the gas station.
- Bollards have two safety systems built in to provide greater security for pedestrians and large vehicles.
- bollards and bollards used for traffic cutting of streets, housing developments, embassies, etc. are also known. Their use for "anti-moon landing" protection is also known.
- the vidiovigilance system that provides the recording service is known in numerous gas stations and thus obtain the license plate number and the model of the car for subsequent complaint. Even so It is not possible to collect the subtracted amount, since they are less than the legal amount for theft. Sometimes he recovers.
- the prepaid system is also in effect, which, as its name suggests, make the customer pay before refueling. But the system has several drawbacks and is that the customer does not like, and above all, is that the sales of the products in the store descend considerably, since the customer only goes with the intention of paying and does not buy anything. With all these problems, the owners of the gas stations dispense with this system.
- the system of immobilization by bollards presents a new guarantee, and that is, the vehicle that has been refueled cannot be left unpaid, since it will be immobilized.
- the system is based on the placement of three bollards with hydraulic motors that will increase from the ground level of the gas station to a height of 60 cm., Therefore, the total immobilization of the vehicle can be achieved.
- the immobilization system will begin its process, this process takes three seconds.
- the non-immobilization system as expressed in claim 1, will begin its process when the customer pays for the fuel, at that precise moment, the bollards will automatically lower, remaining in their normal system, as expressed in claim no. l, that is, lowered to the ground level of the gas station. Well, the non-immobilization system will leave the vehicle free, and continue its journey. The non-immobilization process takes three seconds.
- the bollards have a particularity, and that is, we have incorporated two security systems, one of them is for pedestrian safety and large vehicles. They are motion sensors placed in the immediate vicinity of bollards.
- This security system acts by deactivating the panel order of control of the bollard elevation in the case of detecting a large vehicle or a person and thus avoid damage.
- the other safety system consists of the initial elevation of the 5 cm bollards and the stopping of the lifting process for 2 seconds, accompanied by light and acoustic signals, in order to prevent damage to vehicles or people.
- This security system we have called this security system "periscope effect.”
- the bollards have two axle sensors incorporated for each of them to detect the number of axles in order to detect that a vehicle with at least two axles has been refueled.
- the system will act on the rear bollard even if the striker is incorporated, preventing anyone from walking and wanting to fill the typical carafe, since the axle sensor has not detected any vehicle with at least two axes, and so it will have to alert to the gas station staff to be able to supply after making the pre-payment, since the supplier remains blocked, according to the control system signal.
- Figure 1.- Shows an elevation view of the bollards that constitute the immobilization system.
- Figure 2. Shows an elevation view of the bollards that constitute the non-immobilization system.
- Figure 3. It shows an elevation view of the bollards that constitute the normal system.
- Figure 4.- It shows an elevation view of the bollards that constitute the security system called "periscope effect”.
- Figure 5. It shows a plan view of the entire installation with all its elements, including security systems.
- Figure 6. Show an elevation view of the main element of the immobilization system, that is, the bollard.
- the immobilization system consists of three bollards 1 raised, placed, one in the front of the vehicle 7, another in the rear and another in the side, with sufficient distance between so that you can refuel any kind of vehicle.
- This system will be activated at the moment the trigger 4 of the hose of the dispenser 5 is pressed, at that precise moment, it will begin its ascent process and in three seconds the total immobilization of the vehicle 7, as seen in figure 1.
- Bollards 1 have two motion sensors 2 incorporated for each one, which will act by deactivating the immobilization process (ascent process) when this is necessary for pedestrian safety or for vehicles 7 of large dimensions.
- the non-immobilization system as shown in figure 2, will be activated at the moment the customer of the gas station pays the fuel in box 6, at that precise moment bollards 1 will begin their descent process, and in three seconds it will be obtained the non-immobilization system, the vehicle 7 being able to continue its journey.
- the bollards 1 When there are no refueling vehicles at the gas station, the bollards 1 will remain lowered, that is, in their normal system, leaving fluidity in the transit of the vehicles, as shown in Figure 3.
- bollards 1 As shown in figure 4, is developed during the immobilization process, with the particularity that it stops at the height of five centimeters for two seconds accompanied by acoustic and luminous signals, of this In this way, it will alert you to its rise and presence, we have called this "periscope effect" to this particularity that we have incorporated.
- Bollards 1 are equipped with two axle sensors 3, to verify the passage of any motor vehicle 7 with two or more axles and to prevent theft with bottles or similar containers, since it cannot be supplied due to not having recognized the passage of the vehicle. All bollards 1 are connected by means of a control system to an emergency button called “mushroom” for its total disconnection, leaving them in the rest position. The button is placed in the box 6. In security bollards 1 a safety system is incorporated, consisting of the fact that if there is no power supply, they will automatically be in the rest position.
- the lateral bolardol will be accompanied by islets, curbs, and fences to complicate, if possible, the leakage of the vehicle 7.
