本発明の第1実施形態としての情報処理装置100について、図1を用いて説明する。情報処理装置100は、複数のアプリケーションをそれぞれ異なるプラットフォーム上において実行可能な装置である。
次に、本発明の第2実施形態に係る情報処理装置について説明する。本実施形態においては、情報処理装置は、第1プラットフォーム上でエミュレータを介して第2プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションを実行する環境で動作する。ここで、プラットフォームの異なる情報作成アプリケーションを動作させた場合に、ユーザの操作を処理する操作処理部を情報作成アプリケーションに対応して切り替える。本実施形態によれば、情報作成中に情報作成アプリケーションを切り替えたとしても、迅速に情報作成および操作をするこができる。

図6は、本実施形態に係る第1操作制御部230による情報作成アプリケーション対応テーブル331の作成手順600を示すシーケンス図である。この処理は、第1操作制御部230が起動した時点で実行される。たとえば、電源ON時や再起動時、あるいはアプリケーションの更新時、あるいは第1プラットフォーム用の情報操作アプリケーションから第1操作制御部230を起動した時などに実行される。
図7は、本実施形態に係る第1操作制御部230による第1プラットフォーム用の情報作成アプリケーション212の使用を開始する動作手順700を示すシーケンス図である。このシーケンスは、ユーザが本情報処理装置200のユーザインタフェース部240から第1プラットフォーム210で動作する第1プラットフォーム用の情報作成アプリケーション212を起動した場合に実行される。

次に、本発明の第4実施形態に係る情報処理装置について説明する。本実施形態に係る情報処理装置は、上記第2実施形態と比べると、プラットフォームをオペレーションシステム(以下、OS)に限定し、各機能要素をソフトウェアで実現した具体的構成である点で異なる。本実施形態では、特に、異なるビット数を基準としたOSへの適応を説明する(以下、ビットはbitと記す)。その他の構成および動作で第2実施形態と同様である部分については同じ符号を付してその詳しい説明を省略する。本実施形態によれば、64bitOS上でエミュレータを介して32bitOSが動作可能な環境において、32bitOS用ウェブブラウザによる通信中に、32bitOS用アプリケーションおよび64bitOS用アプリケーションを切替起動させても、ユーザはシームレスに情報作成や操作を継続することができる。
図12は、本実施形態に係る情報処理装置1200の構成を示すブロック図である。図12は、特に、第3実施形態の構成を具体的なモジュールやアプリケーションに置き換えて、処理を明瞭にしたものである。

次に、本発明の第6実施形態に係る情報処理装置について説明する。本実施形態に係る情報処理装置は、上記第2乃至第5実施形態の情報処理装置を、相談者用端末とオペレータ用端末とがネットワークで結ばれて画面および操作を共有しながら動作する遠隔相談システムに適用した例である。第2乃至第5実施形態と同様の機能が適用できる部分についてはてその詳しい説明を省略する。本実施形態によれば、オペレータ用端末が64bitコンピュータである場合において、相談者用端末が32bitコンピュータであっても64bitコンピュータであっても、オペレータは64bitOS用アプリケーションと32bitOS用アプリケーションを切り替えながらシームレスに情報作成や操作を継続することができる。

前記第1プラットフォームとは異なる第2プラットフォーム上で動作可能な第2プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションに対する操作指示を、前記第2プラットフォーム上で処理する第2操作処理手段と、
所定のプラットフォーム上で動作し、起動したアプリケーションが前記第1プラットフォーム用と前記第2のプラットフォーム用とのいずれであるかに基づいて、起動した前記アプリケーションが動作可能なプラットフォーム上において前記アプリケーションに対する操作指示を処理する前記第1操作処理手段又は前記第2操作処理手段を起動して通信を確立する操作制御手段と、
を実現させるためのプログラム。 - 異なるプラットフォーム上で動作する複数の情報処理装置をネットワークを介して接続した情報処理システムであって、
第1プラットフォームをベースとし、前記第1プラットフォームとは異なる第2プラットフォーム上においてアプリケーションを動作可能な第1情報処理装置と、
前記第2プラットフォームをベースとする第2情報処理装置と、
を備え、
前記第1情報処理装置は、
前記第1プラットフォーム上で動作可能な第1プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションに対する操作指示を、前記第1プラットフォーム上で処理する第1操作処理手段と、
前記第2プラットフォーム上で動作可能な第2プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションに対する操作指示を、前記第2プラットフォーム上で処理する第2操作処理手段と、
所定のプラットフォーム上で動作し、起動したアプリケーションが前記第1プラットフォーム用と前記第2のプラットフォーム用とのいずれであるかに基づいて、起動した前記アプリケーションが動作可能なプラットフォーム上において前記アプリケーションに対する操作指示を処理する前記第1操作処理手段又は前記第2操作処理手段を起動して通信を確立する、操作制御手段と、
を備え、
前記第1操作処理手段および前記第2操作処理手段は、前記第2情報処理装置の操作処理手段と情報を送受信する情報送受信手段を有する、
ことを特徴とする情報処理システム。 - 前記情報処理システムは、ユーザがネットワークを介してオペレータに相談する遠隔相談システムであって、
前記第1情報処理装置は、オペレータが前記ユーザの前記ネットワークを介した相談に対応するために操作するオペレータ用端末であり、
前記第2情報処理装置は、前記ユーザが前記ネットワークを介して前記第1情報処理装置を操作する前記オペレータに相談するための相談者用端末である、
ことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の情報処理システム。 - 前記第1情報処理装置と前記第2情報処理装置とに対して、共通のコンテンツを提供するサーバ装置をさらに備える、
ことを特徴とする請求項17または18に記載の情報処理システム。 - 異なるプラットフォーム上で動作する複数の情報処理装置を、ネットワークを介して接続した情報処理システムの情報処理方法であって、
前記情報処理システムは、
第1プラットフォームをベースとし、前記第1プラットフォームとは異なる第2プラットフォーム上においてもアプリケーションを動作可能な第1情報処理装置と、
前記第2プラットフォームをベースとする第2情報処理装置と、
を備え、
前記第1情報処理装置は、
前記第1プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションに対する操作指示を前記第1プラットフォーム上で処理し、前記第2情報処理装置の第3操作処理手段と情報を送受信する第1情報送受信手段を有する第1操作処理手段と、
前記第2プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションに対する操作指示を前記第2プラットフォーム上で処理し、前記第2情報処理装置の前記第3操作処理手段と情報を送受信する第2情報送受信手段を有する第2操作処理手段と、
所定のプラットフォーム上で動作する操作制御手段と、
を備え、
前記第2情報処理装置は、
前記第2プラットフォーム上で動作可能な前記第2プラットフォーム用の前記アプリケーションと、
前記第2プラットフォーム用の前記アプリケーションに対する操作指示を前記第2プラットフォーム上で処理し、前記第1情報処理装置の前記第1操作処理手段と、前記第2操作処理手段と、情報を送受信する第3情報送受信手段を有する第3操作処理手段と、
を備え、
前記第1プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションが駆動された場合に、前記操作制御手段が、前記第1操作処理手段を駆動して通信を確立し、
前記第2プラットフォーム用のアプリケーションが駆動された場合に、前記操作制御手段が、前記第2操作処理手段を駆動して通信を確立し、
前記操作制御手段が駆動した前記第1操作処理手段または前記第2操作処理手段と前記第3操作処理手段との間の情報の送受信を、前記第1情報送受信手段または前記第2情報送受信手段と前記第3情報送受信手段とを介して行なう、
ことを特徴とする情報処理方法。
