- the drawing area monitoring unit 21 When the drawing area monitoring unit 21 receives a VRAM update event from the VRAM 17, the drawing area monitoring unit 21 reads image data for one page from the VRAM 17, and detects a change portion from the image data for one page acquired in the previous VRAM update event. The updated area is detected (S3211). The drawing area monitoring unit 21 determines whether or not the ratio of the updated area to the entire page is equal to or greater than a preset reference value (S3212). If the updated area ratio is equal to or greater than the reference value, the drawing area monitoring unit 21 determines that the page has been switched. The criterion for determining whether or not the page has been switched is, for example, 50% of the entire page.
- the determination in S3212 has been described in the case where the ratio of the updated area in the entire page is compared with the reference value, it may be determined based on whether or not a predetermined area has been updated. For example, when a different title is described for each page in a predetermined upper area of each page of the presentation material, the drawing area monitoring unit 21 monitors the upper area of the image of each page and When the area is updated, it is determined that the page has been switched. Even in this case, an area that is equal to or larger than the reference value is updated in the entire page, but the drawing area monitoring unit 21 does not need to examine the entire page, so the burden on the page switching determination process is reduced.
- the reason why the drawing area monitoring unit 21 performs the page switching determination in this way will be described.
- the presenter performs a presentation by operating the PC 1, but there may be a case where a detailed animation or a change of characters that does not have a particularly important meaning is included in the page of the material for presentation.
- the drawing area monitoring unit 21 determines that the page is to be switched, and if the entire page is saved in the drawing content saving unit 23 each time, the drawing contents are saved. This is because the number of pages stored in the section 23 becomes enormous.
- step S3212 If the drawing area monitoring unit 21 determines in step S3212 that the page has been switched, the drawing region monitoring unit 21 transmits a page change command to the display time monitoring unit 22 (S3213).
- FIG. 4 is a diagram for specifically explaining a method for determining whether or not a page has been switched.
