Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for stabilizing body segments.
- US 6,779,282 B2 discloses a sports sock having a toe-to-heel insert comprising a stirrup-type device in the form of two interconnected strips of suitable material joined together to stabilize the ankle and perpendicular to the ankle to the strips arranged horizontally circulating band, which serves to a movement restriction of Talocalcaneonavikulargelenks and stabilize the ankle. It is provided that the insert is connected to the sports stocking, among other things by spray bonding with plastic. It can also be provided on the two strips, a plastic layer. When using this device, “taping”, i.e. tape tape stabilization, can be eliminated.
- a device for stabilizing body segments is known from WO 2010/034307 A2, in which a plastic layer (2) which stabilizes its shape is applied to a textile carrier layer which has the shape of the body segment to be stabilized.
- plaster casts for fixing body segments are known which are used extensively in the field of medicine, in particular fractures of bone. However, these must be created individually, which is expensive.
- plastic shawl bandages are also known, which are likewise used in the field of medicine and, given their lower weight, are increasingly preferred to plaster casts.
- the object of the invention is to provide a novel device for stabilizing body segments, in particular for use in the field of sports and rehabilitation medicine, as a ready-made ready-made or as semi-finished custom-made can be sold.
- This device both provide protection for the user's own movement and protect against external influences.
- a functional anatomically congruent orthopedic aid fitting against the respective body segments is created. While in currently available on the market bandages a natural concave body overvoltage (for example in the lumbar lordosis) is caused, so that there must be used to apply pressure a pad, the device of the invention follows in all areas, even with concave body overvoltages of the body contour, creating a better Fit is achieved. It can be adjusted individually with this device, where pressure is to be exerted on the body and where not. In this way, a device for stabilizing body segments is created, which can be referred to as an orthotic bandage or bandage orthosis and has a low weight high wearing comfort.
- the textile backing which is open on one side (such as a stocking), open on both sides (such as a knee or elbow bandage) or circular open and securable by a fastener (such as a breaker belt), over the Strip segment to be stabilized or applied circularly, in which case only the definition or positioning of the shape of the textile carrier layer by attaching the plastic element takes place.
- this embodiment allows the replacement of either the textile carrier layer or the plastic element. Since the plastic element can be detached from the carrier layer, it is possible, even after the manufacturing process in shape and shape to adapt the plastic element anatomically to the individual circumstances of the carrier or to change the position of the plastic element on the carrier layer. Thus, it is possible to optimally position the plastic element on the carrier layer in order to achieve the desired effect.
- the plastic support element stabilizing the textile support layer may be net-like or flat, flexible or rigid, elastic, hard or soft, two- or three-dimensional, and it also it is possible to combine several of these properties in one device with each other, for example, by the specific use of different plastic layers or plastic properties for different areas of the device, for example, a specific joint supportive and another only partially supporting.
- the plastic element may be formed one or more layers.
- the plastic element may be one-piece, two-piece (for example, at the ankle as a medial and lateral element) or in several parts.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention is that the plastic element by means of a Velcro connection to the textile support layer can be fastened.
- the body segments to be stabilized are the upper or lower limbs or the trunk.
- the textile carrier layer is a textile knit or a fabric.
- the textile carrier layer is preferably elastic or partially elastic, for example as an elastic textile fabric or fabric or as a textile rubber effect or combination thereof.
- textile-like structures such as neoprene come into question.
- a development of the invention is that the device is constructed in multiple layers.
- further layers may be provided, for example vapor-permeable membranes, upholstery or the like.
- An embodiment of the invention is that with the device one or more of the respective body segment adjacent further body segments and the or the intervening joints are covered with.
- the device not only the adjacent joint is covered by the device, but at least partially adjacent to this joint further Body segment.
- the upper body would be at least partially, the shoulder joint and a part of the humerus covered.
- At least one stabilizing band is provided for increasing the adhesion.
- Such a stabilizing band can be designed to be both statically fixed and elastically fixing or to combine these two properties.
- a development of the invention is that an insert, in particular made of metal or plastic, is arranged in the plastic element.
- Such an insert may for example consist of a bendable metal element, which makes it possible to adapt the moldable plastic element individually shaping a body part, so that it retains this shape.
- a pressure chamber which can be filled with air via a valve is provided on the inside of the textile carrier layer facing the body of the user.
- Fig. 2 is a schematic representation of a device according to the invention for
- the device according to the invention consists of a textile support layer 1, which essentially has the shape of the affected body segment (s), and which may be a preferably elastic textile fabric or textile fabric.
- a plastic element 2 stabilizing the textile carrier layer 1 is releasably connectable, for example via a Velcro connection 7, one part of which is arranged on the textile carrier layer 1 and the other part of which is arranged on the plastic element 2.
- the Velcro connection 7 may be punctiform, linear or planar.
- any other means for releasably securing can be used.
- the device can have an air-inflatable pressure chamber 3 arranged on the inside of the textile carrier layer (and thus the body of the carrier), which makes it possible to improve the seat of the device on the relevant body segment.
- These Pressure chamber 3 has a valve 4, via which the pressure chamber 3 can be filled or emptied and which extends through the plastic element 2 in the example shown.
- the illustrated device also has means 5 for restricting the angle of movement of the knee joint, which are formed as a joint 5 connected to both parts of the device between the thigh comprehensive and the lower leg part of the device having an adjustable maximum flexion angle.
- the fixing straps 6 for fixing the device to the body segments may be mounted in the horizontal direction or in any other layer form.
