Abstract

 燃焼室において所定のガス流動が生じる内燃機関において、放電装置により生成された放電プラズマに、電磁波放射装置から放射された電磁波のエネルギーを効果的に吸収させる。放電動作および放射動作を同時期に行って混合気に点火する際に、放射動作におけるアンテナの電磁波の放射位置が、放電ギャップにおけるガス流動の方向に対して放電ギャップの下流において、ガス流動により流された放電プラズマに対面する。
