Definitions
- the present invention is based on the priority claim of Japanese Patent Application No. 2011-024406 (filed on Feb. 07, 2011), the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference. Shall.
- the present invention relates to a communication method, a control server, and a communication system, and more particularly, to a communication method, a control server, and a communication system for realizing communication by transferring traffic by nodes arranged in a network.

Describes a method of transferring a packet based on a probability using the transfer probability table. The transfer probability is calculated based on the link cost of the node in the route, the weight matrix calculated using the link cost, and the setting parameter ⁇ . In this case, the transfer probability table holds the adjacent node and the transfer probability to the destination node. When the address of the destination node is determined, the packet is probabilistically transferred to an adjacent node.

- the setting parameter ⁇ differs depending on the network status consisting of the network topology and traffic pattern. It is difficult to set the parameter ⁇ . This hinders efficient use of the network.
- the possible value of the setting parameter ⁇ is a value between 0 and infinity, and it is impossible to search for the optimum setting parameter ⁇ in a realistic time. Even if the optimum setting parameter ⁇ can be searched, if the traffic pattern or the network topology changes, it is necessary to search for the optimum setting parameter ⁇ again. This is inefficient.
- One object of the present invention is to efficiently use the network by dynamically setting the setting parameter ⁇ suitable for the network situation.
- a route selection method for controlling a network having a plurality of routes from a transmission source to a destination based on an inter-node traffic transfer probability, an inter-node traffic transfer from a parameter value related to the route selection Calculating a probability, calculating a link cost when the parameter value is used by using the inter-node traffic transfer probability and the traffic, and using the inter-node traffic transfer probability and the link cost to end traffic.
- a route selection method characterized by calculating a cost to be experienced between two ends (end-to-end cost) and using a node-to-node traffic forwarding probability that minimizes the cost (end-to-end cost).
- This method is linked to a specific machine called a control device that controls a node arranged in a network.
- the means for calculating the inter-node traffic transfer probability from the parameter value for route selection, and the inter-node traffic transfer probability and the traffic volume Means for calculating a link cost of the traffic means for calculating a cost (end-to-end cost) that traffic experiences from end-to-end using the inter-node traffic transfer probability and the link cost, and the cost (end-to-end) Means for randomly selecting the next node from the next node candidates based on the inter-node traffic transfer probability that minimizes the two-end cost), and traffic in a network having a plurality of paths from the source to the destination

- the process of calculating the sum of the cost and the link cost experienced by the traffic from end-to-end and the process of obtaining the setting parameter ⁇ with the smallest calculated value of the sum of the link cost experienced by the traffic from end-to-end A program to be executed by a computer is provided.
- This program can be recorded on a computer-readable storage medium. That is, the present invention can be embodied as a computer program product.
- 1 is a schematic diagram of a communication system according to a first embodiment of the present invention. It is a conceptual diagram which shows the communication path
- FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a communication network system 1 according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- the communication network system 1 includes a communication network NET including a plurality of nodes 5.
- the communication network NET includes n (n is an integer of 2 or more) nodes 5-1 to 5-n.
- control server 10 transfers the traffic data (packet, frame) along the determined communication path to each node 5 on the determined communication path. Instruct. Each node 5 sets itself according to the instruction.
- each node 5 is provided with a “transfer table”.
- the forwarding table is a table showing the correspondence between the traffic input source and the transmission destination.
- Each node 5 can forward the traffic received from the input source to the designated destination by referring to the forwarding table.
- the control server 10 instructs each node 5 to set a forwarding table so that traffic is forwarded along the determined communication path.
- Each node 5 sets the contents of its own forwarding table in accordance with instructions from the control server 10.
- Non-Patent Document 5 proposes a technique called OpenFlow.
- OpenFlow captures communication as a flow and performs path control, failure recovery, load balancing, and optimization on a per-flow basis.
- the OpenFlow switch that functions as a forwarding node includes a secure channel for communication with the OpenFlow controller, and operates according to a flow table that is appropriately added or rewritten from the OpenFlow controller. In the flow table, for each flow, a set of a rule that collates with the packet header, an action that defines the processing content, and flow statistical information is defined.
- the OpenFlow switch when it receives the first packet (first packet), it searches the flow table for an entry having a rule (FlowKey) that matches the header information of the received packet. When an entry that matches the received packet is found as a result of the search, the OpenFlow switch performs the processing content described in the action field of the entry on the received packet. On the other hand, if no entry matching the received packet is found as a result of the search, the OpenFlow switch forwards the received packet to the OpenFlow controller via the secure channel, and the source / destination of the received packet. To request the determination of the route of the packet based on the above, receive the flow entry that realizes this, and update the flow table.
- FlowKey a rule

More specifically, transfer probability tables 400-1 to 400-n are provided for the nodes 5-1 to 5-n, respectively. That is, a certain target node 5-i and the transfer probability table 400-i are associated with each other. The transfer probability table 400-i indicates the next hop node candidate 5-ij (k) related to the target node 5-i.
- FIG. 4 shows an example of the transfer probability table 400-i for the target node 5-i.

- the selection probability Pij (k) is a probability that the next hop node 5-ij (k) is selected from the m next hop node candidates 5-ij (1) to 5-ij (m).
- the control server 10 probabilistically transfers traffic based on the transfer probability table 400.
- the route setting process described above is realized by the control server 10 executing the route setting program.
- the route setting program is a computer program executed by the control server 10 and may be recorded on a computer-readable recording medium (particularly a non-transient one).
- FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing a configuration of a control server 10 according to the first embodiment of the present invention.
- the control server 10 includes a next hop node determination unit 100, a node setting unit 200, a loop detection unit 300, a transfer probability table 400, a route node list 500, a parameter setting unit 600, and a traffic management unit 700.
- the next hop node determination unit 100 obtains the next hop node candidate and the transfer probability to the target node related to the target node from the transfer probability table 400, selects one node from the next hop node candidates, and selects the target node. Update to the selected next hop node, and additionally write to the route node list 500.
- the setting parameter ⁇ used for construction of the transfer probability table is determined by the parameter setting unit 600.
- the parameter setting unit 600 acquires an edge node through which traffic passes from the traffic management unit 700 in order to know the communication amount between all node pairs.
- FIG. 5 is a flowchart showing route setting processing according to the present embodiment.
- the route setting process according to the present embodiment will be described in detail.
- Step S10 When certain traffic occurs, the next hop node determination unit 100 receives a route setting request REQ related to the traffic from the communication network NET.
- the route setting request REQ indicates the transmission source node 5-S and the transmission destination node 5-D of the traffic.
- Step S11 The next hop node determination unit 100 receives the route setting request REQ and recognizes the transmission source node 5-S and the transmission destination node 5-D. Then, the next hop node determination unit 100 initializes the target node 5-i to the transmission source node 5-S.
- Step S12 The next hop node determination unit 100 acquires the next hop candidate and the transfer probability to the next hop candidate from the transfer probability table 400 associated with the target node 5-i.
- Step S13 The loop detection unit 300 uses the path node list 500 to determine the transfer probability of the next hop candidate acquired in step S12 to the node already written in the path node list 500 (the node that has already passed). Is set to a small value with respect to the transfer probability to a node that is not written in to prevent the node that has already passed through from being selected as the node of the next hop.
- the nodes already written in the route node list 500 form a loop in the traffic transmission route.
- route node list 500 to a small value
- this invention is not limited to this. Any method may be used as long as the transfer probability to a node already written in the route node list 500 is reset so as to prevent the node from being determined as the next hop.
- the present invention includes setting the transfer probability to “0” for a node already written in the route node list 500, executing a process that is excluded from the next hop candidate, and the like.
- Step S14 As a result of the processing in step S13, it is conceivable that forwarding to all next hop candidates is suppressed. For example, when the transfer probability to all the next hop candidates is below a predetermined threshold, or when the transfer probability to all the next hop candidates is set to “0”, all the next hop candidates are transferred as the next hop. Applicable when removed from the subject. Therefore, in step S14, it is determined whether or not forwarding to all next hop candidates is suppressed.
- the flowchart of FIG. 5 will be described using an example in which the transfer probability to the nodes already written in the route node list 500 is reset to “0”. As a result of setting the transfer probability to the nodes already written in the route node list 500 in node step S13 already written in the route node list 500, the transfer probabilities to all the next hop candidate nodes become 0. Check whether there is any.
- Step S15 If the transfer probabilities to the nodes written in the route node list 500 in step S13 are 0, the transfer probabilities to all the next hop candidate nodes are 0 (step S14; Yes), the previous hop node is changed. Step S12 is executed again as the target node 5-i.
- Step S16 When the transfer probabilities to the nodes written in the route node list 500 in step S13 are 0, the transfer probabilities to all the next hop candidate nodes are not 0 (step S14; No), the next hop node The determining unit 100 acquires the next hop candidate and the transfer probability from the transfer probability table, and randomly selects one next hop node 5-ij from the next hop node candidates 5-ij (1) to 5-ij (m). select. For example, the next hop node determination unit 100 uses a random number and a selection probability Pij (k). Note that the total value of the transfer probabilities does not necessarily have to be 1.0.
- the selection probabilities Pij (1) to Pij (3) of the next hop node candidates 5-ij (1) to 5-ij (3) are 0.2, 0.3,.
- numerical ranges corresponding to the selection probabilities Pij (1) to Pij (3) are defined for the next hop node candidates 5-ij (1) to 5-ij (3).
- the next hop node determination unit 100 associates the range of 0.0 or more and less than 0.2 with the next hop node candidate 5-ij (1), and assigns the range of 0.2 or more and less than 0.5 to the next hop node candidate
- the range from 0.5 to less than 1.1 is associated with the next hop node candidate 5-ij (3).
- the next hop node determining unit 100 since the total value of the transfer probabilities is not necessarily 1.0, the next hop node determining unit 100 generates a random number X within a range of 0.0 or more and less than the total transfer probability. Then, the next hop node determination unit 100 selects a next hop node candidate associated with the numerical range including the generated random number X. For example, when the random number X is 0.3, the next hop node determination unit 100 selects the next hop node candidate 5-ij (2). In this way, one next hop node 5-ij can be selected randomly according to the selection probability Pij (k).
- Step S17 When the next hop node 5-ij is selected, the next hop node determination unit 100 holds the selected next hop node 5-ij in the route node list 500 as the relay node 5-r. Further, the next hop node determination unit 100 updates the target node 5-i to the selected next hop node 5-ij.
- Step S18 When the next hop determination process is completed, the next hop node determination unit 100 checks whether or not the updated target node 5-i (selected next hop node) matches the destination node 5-D. That is, the next hop node determination unit 100 checks whether or not the target node 5-i has reached the transmission destination node 5-D.
- step S18 When the target node 5-i has not yet reached the destination node 5-D (step S18; No), the process returns to step S12, and the next hop node determination unit 100 determines the next target node 5-i. Execute hop determination processing.
- next hop node determination unit 100 determines the relay node 5-r at random from the transmission source node 5-S toward the transmission destination node 5-D one by one.
- the target node 5-i reaches the transmission destination node 5-D (step S18; Yes). That is, a communication path from the transmission source node 5-S to the transmission destination node 5-D is determined.
- the next hop node determination unit 100 according to the present embodiment randomly determines the communication path from the transmission source node 5-S to the transmission destination node 5-D one by one by repeating the next hop determination process. To do.
- Step S19 When the communication path is determined, the node setting unit 200 instructs each node 5 on the determined communication path to transfer the traffic along the determined communication path. More specifically, the node setting unit 200 sends a transfer table setting command CMD to each node 5 registered in the route node list 500.
- the transfer table setting command CMD is a command for instructing to set a transfer table so that traffic is transferred along the determined communication path.
- Each node 5 on the determined communication path receives the transfer table setting command CMD from the control server 10 and sets the contents of its own transfer table accordingly. As a result, the traffic data is transmitted from the transmission source node 5-S to the transmission destination node 5-D.
- the present embodiment can also be realized as a route setting method by removing the loop by the distributed control.
- FIG. 6 is a flowchart of the setting parameter ⁇ setting method according to the first embodiment.
- a certain setting parameter ⁇ is given, the transfer probability table 400 is constructed from the link cost LC and the setting parameter ⁇ , and the link cost when the parameter value is used is calculated from the traffic between this and all node pairs. From the link cost and the transfer probability table 400, the cost that the traffic experiences from end to end is calculated. Then, this process is performed for all the setting parameter ⁇ candidates, and the setting parameter ⁇ with the lowest cost of experiencing the traffic end-to-end is selected.
- the setting parameter ⁇ setting process according to the present embodiment will be described in detail.
- Step S20 When the setting parameter ⁇ setting process is started, a setting parameter ⁇ candidate ⁇ i is set.
- the 0th, 1st, and 2nd setting parameter ⁇ candidates ⁇ 0, ⁇ 1, and ⁇ 2 are the currently used setting parameters ⁇ , ⁇ ⁇ (1 ⁇ x), and ⁇ ⁇ (1 + x), respectively.
- x is a numerical value of 0.0 or more.
- the present invention is not limited to this. Any method of selecting from a plurality of setting parameter candidates ⁇ may be used.
- the present invention includes two or more setting parameter ⁇ candidates, extraction of setting parameter ⁇ candidates by a two-division method or a golden division method, and the like.
- Step S21 The parameter setting unit 600 receives the current link cost LC from the communication network NET.
- the link cost LC may be a link cost in a link possessed by a node, for example, link utilization rate, propagation delay, loss rate, or the like.
- Step S22 From the traffic management unit 700, the source edge node EID or the destination edge node number IID of the traffic f is acquired.
- Step S23 From the edge node number from EID or the edge node number from IID, the transmission data amount of the traffic f at the transmission source edge node and the reception data amount at the transmission destination edge node are acquired and added to the communication amount between all node pairs.
- Step S24 It is checked whether or not the number of traffics obtained from the transmission data amount and the reception data amount has been searched up to the flow number fmax to be investigated. Note that the flow number fmax to be investigated is sufficiently large and smaller than the number of traffics being managed.
- Step S25 If it is determined in step S24 that the number of traffics obtained from the transmission data amount and the reception data amount has not been searched up to the traffic number fmax to be investigated (step S24; No), the traffic f number is incremented by one.
- Step S26 In step S24, when the number of traffics obtained from the transmission data amount and the reception data amount is searched up to the traffic number fmax to be investigated (step S24; Yes), the transfer probability table 400 is obtained from the setting parameter ⁇ candidate ⁇ 0 and the link cost LC. Build up.
- the transfer probability table 400 is constructed by the following equation [Equation 1].
- i) is an element of the transfer probability table 400
- the transmission destination node is d
- cij is a link cost between link cost node i and node j
- I is a unit matrix.
- Step S27 The link cost LC2 when the parameter is used is calculated (estimated) from the communication probability between the transfer probability table 400 and all node pairs.
- the probability that the link between the node i and the node j is used in communication between the transmission source node s and the transmission destination node d is calculated using the transfer probability table 400.
- the communication amount flowing in the link between the node i and the node j can be obtained.
- the usage amount of the link between the nodes i and j is calculated.
- the link cost LC2 when using the parameter is calculated (estimated).
- the link cost LC2 is defined as the link utilization rate
- the link cost LC2 can be calculated according to the following equation [Equation 2].
- Equation 2 calculates the link cost LC2 after time t.
- c′ij is the link cost LC2 after the time t, and indicates the link cost between the node i and the node j after the time t.
- Osd represents the amount of transmitted / received data from the transmission source node s to the transmission destination node d
- bwij represents the link capacity between the node i and the node j.
- Step S28 From the link cost LC2 when the calculated parameter value is used and the transfer probability table 400, the average value C of the cost that the traffic experiences end-to-end when the parameter value is used is calculated.
- the link cost of the link between the node i and the node j when the parameter value obtained from the link cost LC2 when the parameter value is used, and the node i in the communication between the transmission source node s and the transmission destination node d By multiplying the probability that the link between nodes j is used, the average cost that traffic experiences end-to-end when the parameter value is used in communication between the source node s and the destination node d is calculated.
- this process is performed for all the source node s and destination node d pairs, and the average value is calculated as the average value C of the traffic experienced by the traffic end-to-end when the parameter value is used.
- the average value C of the cost experienced by traffic end-to-end when this parameter value is used can be calculated according to the following equation [Equation 3].
- Step S29 The average cost C experienced by the end-to-end traffic when the calculated parameter value is used is smaller than the minimum value Cmin of the average cost experienced by the end-to-end traffic so far. Check whether or not.
- Step S30 In step S29, the average value C of the traffic experienced by the end-to-end traffic using the parameter location is smaller than the minimum value Cmin of the average cost of the traffic experienced by the end-to-end calculated so far.
- the value of the minimum value Cmin in the average cost experienced by the end-to-end traffic calculated so far is calculated end-to-end after the calculated time t. Replace with the cost C experienced by the traffic. Further, the value of the optimum setting parameter ⁇ t is replaced with the candidate ⁇ i of the setting parameter ⁇ .
- Step S31 In step S29, the average value C of the cost experienced by the end-to-end traffic when the parameter value is used is larger than the minimum value CCmin of the average value of the cost experienced by the end-to-end traffic calculated so far. If this happens (step S29; No), the setting parameter ⁇ candidate ⁇ i is replaced with the next setting parameter ⁇ candidate.
- Step S32 In order to check whether there are other candidates for the setting parameter ⁇ , it is checked whether i is equal to 3.
- the number of parameter candidates is 3, which may be equal to the number of parameter candidates.
- step S32 If i is not equal to 3 in step S32 (step S32; No), the candidate ⁇ i of the setting parameter ⁇ is verified again from step S26.
- Step S33 If i is equal to 3 in step S32 (step S32; Yes), the value of the optimum setting parameter ⁇ t is sent to the transfer probability table 400.
- Step S34 After waiting for a certain time t, the optimum value of the setting parameter ⁇ is searched again from step S20.
- Form 3 In Form 1 or Form 2, Calculate the link cost of all links when using the parameter value, Based on the link cost, It is also possible to calculate the cost that traffic experiences from end to end.
- [Form 4] In any one of Form 1 to Form 3, Based on the traffic between all node pairs and the inter-node traffic transfer probability, the link cost of all links can be calculated using this parameter value.
