Abstract

The invention relates to a method which consists of using a pneumatic paint gun as a painting means, complementing said gun with an annular rotary template which makes it possible to define, on the highway (1), stripes (5) that make up the broken line in question, the contour of both the longitudinal edges and the ends of the stripes being perfectly outlined. The invention allows topping the ends of the aforementioned stripes (5) that make up the broken lines with opposing arrow tips (6), or for such an arrow tip to be placed exclusively at one of the ends of the stripe in order to inform a driver accessing the main highway via a secondary access road whether said driver is entering a highway with traffic lanes in one direction or both.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a new method of painting dashed lines on vehicle traffic lanes, of those used as signaling means for the lanes existing in said road. A first object of the invention is to ensure that said signaling lines have their entire contour duly profiled.
It is also the object of the invention that the broken lines obtained with the aforementioned method, which thanks to the perfect sharpness of its edges, in particular those corresponding to its ends, allow such ends to configure arrowheads, in order to enhance the level of visualization or perception.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓN BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
As is known, for the signaling of the lanes of a traffic lane, dashed lines are used that are obtained by painting the asphalt, using a paint gun, capable of generating on this asphalt a strip of constant width and length undefined, length that is determined by a relationship between the speed of advance of the gun and the time in which it is activated. More specifically, this strip is perfectly sharp longitudinal edges but with "degraded" ends due to the doubtful effect of activation and deactivation of the gun.
From the point of view of the classic signaling or lane independence, this gradient of the ends of the paint stripes is not a problem, and this effect does not go beyond the mere aesthetics of the stripes.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN On the other hand, on roads with lanes separated by dashed lines, it sometimes happens that a driver who joins that road from a secondary road, does not know if that two-lane road, separated by dashed lines, is two directions or one direction, so that sometimes it happens that that driver who joins the main road, access the lane in the opposite direction to the correct traffic, with the consequent risk of accidents with vehicles that circulate in the right direction down that lane As a practical example, it is possible to mention the incorporation from a car park to the road that can have two or more lanes separated by a broken line, so that the driver who accesses from the car park does not remember if the traffic route was one-way or was two senses, or that it goes to a different route through which it has entered, and logically ignore whether the route to which it will be incorporated is one way or two directions of movement. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The method of painting that the invention proposes solves in a completely satisfactory way the problem previously exposed, in the two aspects previously mentioned.
For this and in a more concrete way, said method of painting consists in the use of rotary, annular templates, which actuated by any appropriate means delimit the spraying of the paint around the contour of each strip, profiling in it both its longitudinal edges as its extremes, allowing these extremes to be provided with any appropriate configuration that improves visualization or perception. In this last aspect, it is foreseen that the discontinuous strips that delimit the rails present, at regular intervals, arrows indicating the direction of the rails, so that the strips serve to mark the direction of the march to the conductors that the Direction of travel is the same on both lanes, or it is lanes with the opposite direction.
More specifically, in the first case the arrows are oriented in a single direction, that of the march, while in the second case the arrows are located at the two ends of the strip indicating that they are lanes in direction with directions contrary, which will obviously warn the driver who joins, to access the lane in the opposite direction to his departure.
This prevents a driver from accessing a traffic lane in the opposite direction with two lanes of opposite directions, or less realize at the time of performing the maneuver to get into the wrong lane in the opposite direction of his march, that there are two directions of movement and therefore must take the right
DESCRIPCION DE LOS DIBUJOS DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description. For illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented: Figure 1.- Shows a schematic representation of a main road with two lanes, in the area corresponding to the intersection with the access of a secondary road to it, in the that the dashed strips indicate that these are two lanes in opposite directions. Figure 2 shows a schematic representation similar to Figure 1, but in the case that both lanes of the main road have a single direction of movement.
REALIZACIÓN PREFERENTE DE LA INVENCIÓN PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
As previously stated, the method of the invention consists in the use during the painting of the stripes corresponding to the dashed lines, of a rotating template, conveniently associated with the painting machine, whose representation has been omitted by the wide range of possibilities of practical realization existing for this purpose, it being necessary only to indicate that said annular template must incorporate within it the necessary window for the conformation of the strip to be painted, the ends of said window being related to each other by a closed section corresponding to the distance between strips.
With this method of painting it is achieved, as can be seen from the observation of the figures, that in a main road (1, Γ), with two lanes (2-3, 2'-3 '), specifically in the areas corresponding to an access road (4, 4 '), the broken lines (5, 5') have the sections facing said secondary tracks (4, 4 '), provided with opposite arrows at both ends (6), as it represents in figure 1, when it is a two-way main road or opposite directions, or that such broken lines have a single arrow (6 '), oriented in the direction of travel, indicating that both lanes (2 , 2 ') are from the same direction, that is, the main road () is one-way, regardless of whether it has two or more lanes.
In this way, the driver who accesses the main road (1,) through secondary roads (4, 4 '), will be aware if the two lanes of that main road are of the same direction of movement or are of opposite directions, so that its driver is correctly incorporated into the lane with the correct direction of movement.
