Description

従来の光学式変位センサが、例えば、特開2008-145160号公報(特許文献1)に開示されている。図9は、特許文献1に開示の従来の光学式変位センサ100を示す図である。図9を参照して、光学式変位センサ100は、測定対象物106に対して光を照射するレーザダイオード101a、およびレーザダイオード101aからの光を集光する投光レンズ101bを含む投光モジュール101と、投光モジュール101からの光が測定対象物106で反射することにより、その反射光を受光面103aで受光するCCD103と、反射光をCCD103の受光面103aに結像する受光レンズ104とを備える。

ここで、特許文献1によると、調整においては、図9中の矢印Aで示すように、受光レンズ104の光軸、すなわち受光軸L2方向に受光レンズ104をずらすと共に、図9中の矢印Bおよび矢印Cで示すように、CCD103をスライドおよび回転させることとしている。すなわち、受光レンズ104およびCCD103の2つの部材を調整することとしている。
しかしながら、このような調整方法では、例えば、受光レンズ104調整後にCCD103を調整する場合、CCD103に調整誤差が生じると、再度受光レンズ104を調整しなければならない場合がある等、調整の作業が煩雑である。そうすると、調整の作業工数も増加する虞がある。また、調整のための機構を個々に設ける必要があり、光学式変位センサ100そのものの大型化や、光学式変位センサ100を製造する製造装置の大型化を招く虞もある。
この発明の第1の目的は、容易に、光学式変位センサの光学系を調整することが可能な光学式変位センサの調整方法を提供することである。
また、この発明の第2の目的は、容易に、光学式変位センサの光学系を調整することが可能な光学式変位センサの製造方法を提供することである。
本発明の第1の観点に係る光学式変位センサの調整方法は、所定の光学系を有する光学式変位センサの調整方法に関する。所定の光学系は、測定対象物に対して光を照射する投光モジュールと、投光モジュールからの光による測定対象物からの反射光を受光する受光素子と、測定対象物と受光素子との間に位置して、反射光を受光素子に結像する受光レンズとを備える。そして、調整方法は、受光レンズのみを、受光レンズの光軸方向、および受光レンズの光軸方向に垂直な方向に移動させることにより調整する。
こうすることにより、受光レンズのみを移動させて、所定の光学系を調整することができる。すなわち、1つの部材を調整するのみでよい。そうすると、調整作業の工数の増加を抑制できると共に、光学式変位センサそのものの小型化や、光学式変位センサを製造する製造装置の小型化を図ることができる。その結果、容易に調整することができる。
一実施形態として、調整方法は、所定の光学系をシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整する。こうすることにより、受光レンズのみを移動させて、所定の光学系がシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整することができる。
好ましくは、投光モジュール、受光素子、および受光レンズは、光学式変位センサの筐体を構成する基準面上に配置されており、調整方法は、受光レンズを、基準面上をスライドさせて移動させることにより調整する。こうすることにより、調整のための機構を新たに設ける必要なく、簡易な方法で調整することができる。
さらに好ましくは、投光モジュールは、光を照射する光源と、光源からの光を所定の形状に調整する投光レンズとを含み、調整方法は、投光レンズを、投光レンズの光軸方向、投光レンズの光軸方向に垂直な方向であり基準面に平行な方向、および投光レンズの光軸方向に垂直な方向であり基準面に垂直な方向に移動させることにより調整する。こうすることにより、例えば投光モジュールを構成する部品の形状のバラツキ等によって、部品が基準面上で傾斜して配置されて、シャインプルーフの条件を満たせない状態となった場合に、投光モジュールの光軸の傾斜具合を調整することができる。
本発明の第2の観点に係る光学式変位センサの製造方法は、測定対象物に対して光を照射する投光モジュールと、投光モジュールからの光による測定対象物からの反射光を受光する受光素子と、測定対象物と受光素子との間に位置して、反射光を受光素子に結像する受光レンズとを備える光学式変位センサの製造方法に関する。製造方法は、投光モジュール、および受光素子を、光学式変位センサの筐体を構成する基準面に固定する第一の取り付け工程と、基準面を基準として、受光レンズを、受光レンズの光軸方向、および受光レンズの光軸方向に垂直な方向に移動させる受光レンズ移動工程と、受光レンズ移動工程において移動させた位置に、受光レンズを基準面に固定する第二の取り付け工程とを備える。
こうすることにより、光学式変位センサの製造の際に、受光レンズのみを移動させて、所定の光学系を調整することができる。すなわち、1つの部材を調整するのみでよい。そうすると、調整作業の工数の増加を抑制できると共に、光学式変位センサそのものの小型化や、光学式変位センサを製造する製造装置の小型化を図ることができる。その結果、容易に調整することができる。

以下、図面を参照して、この発明の一実施形態に係る光学式変位センサの調整方法について説明する。図1は、光学式変位センサ10の外観を示す斜視図である。図2は、図1に示す光学式変位センサ10の蓋33を取り外し、矢印IIの方向から見た場合の平面図である。なお、図2においては、光学式変位センサ10の平面図に加え、測定対象物16も図示している。図1および図2を参照して、光学式変位センサ10は、測定対象物16の変位を測定する。光学式変位センサ10は、略直方体形状の筐体30の内部に、測定対象物16に対して所望のビーム形状の光を照射する投光モジュール9と、投光モジュール9からの光による測定対象物16からの反射光を受光する受光素子13と、測定対象物16と受光素子13との間に位置する受光レンズ14とを備える。投光モジュール9は、光を照射する光源11と、測定対象物16と光源11との間に位置する投光レンズ12とを含む構成である。投光モジュール9、受光素子13、および受光レンズ14は、所定の光学系を構成する。なお、図2中の三点鎖線で、投光モジュール9による照射される光線であり、投光モジュール9の光軸、すなわち投光軸L1と、測定対象物16からの反射光を受光する受光レンズ14の光軸、すなわち受光軸L2とを示している。
筐体30は、底部に配置され、光学式変位センサ10の光学系を構成する部材が固定される底面31と、開口部32a,32bを有し、底面31の周縁を取り囲むように配置される側壁32と、底面31に対向して配置される蓋33とを含む。底面31は、平面状であって、その上に光源11等が固定される。側壁32は、図示はしないが、ケーブル等を接続可能な接続部を有する構成である。そして、開口部32aは、受光レンズ14に対向するように設けられており、開口部32bは、投光レンズ12に対向するように設けられている。
図3は、投光レンズ12を示す斜視図である。図4は、受光レンズ14を示す斜視図である。図1~図4を参照して、光源11は、レーザダイオードであって、測定対象物16に対してレーザビームを照射する。投光レンズ12は、レンズを収容するレンズホルダーを含み、光源11から照射された光を集光し、光源11からの光を所定の形状に調整する。受光素子13は、CMOS(Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor)センサであって、受光面に測定対象物16からの反射光を受光する。受光面は、複数の受光素子がライン状に配置されている。受光レンズ14は、例えば、反射光の入射する表面が非球面形状の単レンズであって、レンズホルダー15に収容されており、測定対象物16からの反射光を集光して受光面に結像する。受光レンズ14は、受光軸L2が受光レンズ14の中心を通るようにして配置されており、受光レンズ14の主面が、受光軸L2に直交するようにして配置されている。
また、レンズホルダー15は、例えば、受光レンズ14の周縁の4箇所を掛止するようにして受光レンズ14を収容しており、底面31と接する面は、平面状であり、矢印IIの方向から見た場合の形状が、略四角形状である。また、レンズホルダー15の周囲には、ピン15a~15dが4箇所底面31に固定されている。この4個のピン15a~15dは、レンズホルダー15の略四角形状の各頂点に対応するようにして配置されており、レンズホルダー15を移動させる際の位置決め部材となる。
光学式変位センサ10は、投光モジュール9の光源11からレーザビームを照射すると、照射した光が側壁32の開口部32bを介して測定対象物16に到達し、測定対象物16で反射する。そして、測定対象物16からの反射光が側壁32の開口部32aを介して受光レンズ14に入射し、受光レンズ14が反射光を受光面に結像する。そして、結像の際の受光した像の位置を検出する。これにより、光学式変位センサ10は、測定対象物16の投光軸L1方向の変位を測定する。
ここで、光学式変位センサ10は、投光モジュール9、受光素子13、および受光レンズ14をシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整して配置される。図5は、光学式変位センサ10を示す模式図である。図5を参照して、具体的には、光学式変位センサ10は、測定対象物16の変位を測定可能な所定の測定範囲W1を有している。この所定の測定範囲W1は、測定対象物16における光の反射位置16aを示すものであり、投光軸L1上の光源11に近い第一の位置PN1から、光源11から離れた第二の位置PF1までの範囲である。すなわち、測定対象物16における光の反射位置16aは、投光軸L1上の所定の測定範囲W1の幅を有する。なお、図5中の点線で、第一の位置PN1の測定対象物16´、および第二の位置PF1の測定対象物16´´を示し、所定の測定範囲W1である光の反射位置16aを太線で示している。そして、所定の測定範囲W1は、例えば20~30mmである。受光素子13の受光面13aは、所定の測定範囲W1に対応して、光源11に近い位置PN2から光源11から離れた位置PF2までの所定の幅W2を有する。
そして、光学式変位センサ10は、所定の光学系がシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように、すなわち、測定対象物16における反射位置16a(投光軸L1)と、受光レンズ14の主面14aと、受光素子13の受光面13aとを延長した線が一点S1で交わるように、調整して配置される。これにより、光学式変位センサ10は、測定範囲W1のどの位置で反射した反射光であっても、結像の際に受光面13aでピントが合うようになる。そして、光学式変位センサ10は、測定範囲W1における測定対象物16の変位を測定する。
ここで、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整する具体的な調整方法について説明する。図6は、図5に示す模式図において、シャインプルーフの条件を満たしていない場合を示す図である。図7は、図6に示す模式図において、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように、受光レンズ14の位置を調整する手順を示す図である。なお、図7中の一点鎖線で、位置調整後の受光レンズ14、受光レンズ14の主面14a、および受光軸L2´を示している。
図6を参照して、光源11の取り付け位置がずれたために、図6中の領域Bで示すように、投光軸L1´上の測定対象物16における反射位置16aを延長した線は、受光レンズ14の主面14aと、受光素子13の受光面13aとを延長した線と一点で交わっていない。このような場合の調整方法について説明する。
まず、予め、光源11、投光レンズ12、受光素子13、および受光レンズ14は、上記した図6に示すように配置されている。このとき、例えば、光源11、投光レンズ12、および受光素子13においては、予め筐体30の底面31に固定されている。この固定する工程を第一の取り付け工程とする。
そして、受光レンズ14の位置を移動させる。具体的には、受光レンズ14はレンズホルダー15に収容された状態であり、アーム等でレンズホルダー15を底面31に押し当てる。そして、押し当てた状態で、図7中のZ1方向(受光軸L2方向)、およびX1方向(底面31に平行な方向であって受光軸L2方向に垂直な方向)に受光レンズ14をスライドさせる。ここで、スライドとは、底面31上を滑らすことである。すなわち、底面31は受光レンズ14を移動させる際の基準となる基準面であり、基準面を基準として、受光レンズ14を前後および左右の2軸方向に移動させる。このとき、レンズホルダー15の移動範囲は、ピン15a~15dによって規制される。
このように、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように受光レンズ14を動かすことによって調整する。すなわち、Z1方向(受光軸L2方向)、およびX1方向(底面31に平行な方向であって受光軸L2方向に垂直な方向)に受光軸L2を調整する。なお、この受光レンズ14を移動させる工程を受光レンズ移動工程とする。
そして、シャインプルーフの条件を満たす位置、すなわち、測定対象物16における反射位置16aと、受光レンズ14の主面14aと、受光素子13の受光面13aとを延長した線が一点で交わる位置に受光レンズ14が到達すると、その位置でレンズホルダー15を底面31に固定する。なお、固定の際には、紫外線硬化型の接着剤やネジ等を用いる。図7を参照して、測定対象物16における反射位置16aと、一点鎖線で示す位置調整後の受光レンズ14の主面14aと、受光素子13の受光面13aとを延長した線が一点S2で交わっている。なお、受光レンズ14を底面31に固定する工程を第二の取り付け工程とする。
このように、光学式変位センサ10の調整方法は、受光レンズ14のみを移動させて、所定の光学系がシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整することができる。すなわち、1つの部材を調整するのみでよい。そうすると、調整作業の工数の増加を抑制できると共に、光学式変位センサ10そのものの小型化や、光学式変位センサ10を製造する製造装置の小型化を図ることができる。その結果、容易に調整することができる。
また、受光レンズ14を収容したレンズホルダー15を底面31上をスライドさせるのみでよいため、調整のための機構を新たに設ける必要なく、簡易な方法で調整することができる。
また、このような光学式変位センサ10の製造方法は、受光レンズ14のみを移動させて、所定の光学系がシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整することができる。すなわち、1つの部材を調整するのみでよい。そうすると、調整作業の工数の増加を抑制できると共に、光学式変位センサ10そのものの小型化や、光学式変位センサ10を製造する製造装置の小型化を図ることができる。その結果、容易に調整することができる。
次に、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整する他の方法について説明する。図8は、図6に示す模式図において、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように、投光レンズ12の位置を調整する手順を示す図である。なお、図8中の二点鎖線で、位置調整後の投光レンズ12、および投光軸L1´´を示している。
再び、図6に示す状態において、調整方法について説明する。
まず、予め、光源11、投光レンズ12、受光素子13、および受光レンズ14は、上記した図6に示すように配置されている。このとき、例えば、光源11、および受光素子13においては、予め筐体30の底面31に固定されている。
ここで、まず、投光レンズ12の位置を移動させる。具体的には、底面31の蓋33側上部においてアーム等で投光レンズ12を収容するレンズホルダーを保持することにより、図8中のZ2方向(投光軸L1方向)と、X2方向(底面31に平行な方向であって投光軸L1方向に垂直な方向)と、Y2方向(底面31に垂直な方向であって投光軸L1方向に垂直な方向)とに投光レンズ12を移動させる。すなわち、底面31から離れた状態で、投光レンズ12を前後、左右、および上下方向の3軸方向に移動させる。
このようにして、投光レンズ12を動かすことにより、Z2方向(投光軸L1方向)、X2方向(底面31に平行な方向であって投光軸L1方向に垂直な方向)、およびY2方向(底面31に垂直な方向であって投光軸L1方向に垂直な方向)に投光軸L1を調整する。
そして、投光レンズ12を移動させた位置に固定し、その固定後、上記した受光レンズ移動工程および第二の取り付け工程と同様に、受光レンズ14を底面31に固定する。
このようにして、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように、投光レンズ12、および受光レンズ14の取り付け位置を調整する。こうすることにより、例えば投光モジュール9を構成する部品の形状のバラツキ等によって、部品が底面31上で傾斜して配置されて、シャインプルーフの条件を満たせない状態となった場合に、投光軸L1´の傾斜具合を抑制することができる。そして、受光レンズ14の位置を調整する際の移動量を抑えることができる。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、受光素子13は、CMOSセンサである例について説明したが、これに限ることなく、CCD(Charge Coupled Device)センサであってもよい。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、S12において、底面31上をスライドさせて受光レンズ14を動かす例について説明したが、これに限ることなく、例えば、底面31にZ1方向およびX1方向に延びる溝等を設け、この溝に沿って受光レンズ14を移動させてもよい。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、レンズホルダー15の周囲にピン15a~15dを設け、レンズホルダー15の移動範囲は、ピン15a~15dによって規制される例について説明したが、これに限ることなく、特にピン15a~15dが設けられておらず、移動範囲が規制されなくてもよい。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、受光レンズ14の移動の際に、ピン15a~15dによって規制される例について説明したが、投光レンズ12においても同様に、ピン等を予め底面31に取り付けておくことにより、移動を規制してもよい。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、光学式変位センサ10において、シャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整する例について説明したが、これに限ることなく、光学系を調整する際にも適用することができる。すなわち、光学系を調整する際に受光レンズ14のみを調整してもよい。
また、上記の実施の形態においては、底面31を基準面として、受光レンズ14を移動させる例について説明したが、これに限ることなく、例えば側壁32等を基準面として移動させてもよい。
以上、図面を参照してこの発明の実施形態を説明したが、この発明は、図示した実施形態のものに限定されない。図示された実施形態に対して、この発明と同一の範囲内において、あるいは均等の範囲内において、種々の修正や変形を加えることが可能である。
この発明は、光学式変位センサを製造する際に、有効に用いられる。

- 所定の光学系を有する光学式変位センサの調整方法であって、
前記所定の光学系は、測定対象物に対して光を照射する投光モジュールと、前記投光モジュールからの光による前記測定対象物からの反射光を受光する受光素子と、前記測定対象物と前記受光素子との間に位置して、前記反射光を前記受光素子に結像する受光レンズとを備え、
前記調整方法は、前記受光レンズのみを、前記受光レンズの光軸方向、および前記受光レンズの光軸方向に垂直な方向に移動させることにより調整する、
光学式変位センサの調整方法。 - 前記調整方法は、前記所定の光学系をシャインプルーフの条件を満たすように調整する、
