  • both of the leaves can be governed in a way altogether independent of one another.
  • the lip seals are substantially compressed in the closed position and ensure an effective protection against the passage of air, dust, or liquids. In the open position the seals are not in contact with moving parts and are not subject to wear by rubbing.
  • Seals similar to the seals 76 are also provided on the vertical sectional elements 12c, 12d and on the top horizontal sectional element 12b. This could be a single seal that extends along the entire perimeter of the mobile frame. Likewise, seals similar to the seal 84 are provided on the vertical sectional elements and on a top horizontal sectional element of the fixed frame. The sectional elements 12a, 12b, 12c and 12d of the leaf must be provided with sliding slots for housing the components of the control device 18.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une porte ou fenêtre coulissante qui comprend : - un cadre fixe (14) qui comporte au moins un rail horizontal (16) ; - au moins un cadre de vantail (12) mobile dans une direction longitudinale (L) par rapport audit cadre fixe (14), le cadre de vantail (12) supportant au moins un chariot (32) équipé de roues (50) qui roulent sur ledit rail (16) ; et - au moins un joint d'étanchéité (76, 84) allongé dans une direction longitudinale et placé entre le cadre de vantail (12) et le cadre fixe (14), le cadre de vantail (12) supportant un dispositif de commande (18) qui déplace le cadre de vantail (12) dans une direction transversale (T) orthogonale à ladite direction longitudinale (L) entre une position fermée dans laquelle ledit joint d'étanchéité (76, 84) est comprimé entre le cadre de vantail (12) et le cadre fixe (14) et une position ouverte dans laquelle ledit joint d'étanchéité (76, 84) est étiré.
