- the arranged optical fiber 25 is assumed to be 110 channels.
- the wavelength of the reflected light 9 is limited to the wavelength band of 1.40 ⁇ m or more and 2.50 ⁇ m or less by the wavelength filter 16, assuming that these wavelengths are taken in by the 110 optical fibers 25, per channel
- the resolution of the light receiving array 24 becomes 0.01 ⁇ m.
- Wavelength bands are allocated uniformly so that light in a wavelength band of 2.49 ⁇ m to 2.50 ⁇ m enters.
- the wavelength located at the threshold between each channel is set to be detected in one of the channels.
- 1 channel detects dispersed reflected light 9 having a wavelength of 1.41 ⁇ m or less including 1.41 ⁇ m
- 2 channels detect wavelengths longer than 1.41 ⁇ m and longer than 1.41 ⁇ m
- overlapping detection of wavelengths located at the threshold between one channel and two channels (in this case, a wavelength of 1.41 ⁇ m) between the respective channels is prevented.
- the reflected light 9 dispersed in each wavelength band incident on the optical fiber 25 is photoelectrically converted by the light receiving element 30, and a signal by the photoelectrically converted current is converted into digital data by the digital data conversion device 31.
- This digital data is input to the arithmetic processing unit 10 shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, and the arithmetic processing unit 10 analyzes the input digital data to obtain the absorption spectrum of the determination subject 2.
- the electric signal photoelectrically converted by the light receiving element 30 shown in FIG. 4 depends on the intensity of the received light. Therefore, it is possible to obtain information of light intensity for each wavelength band from digital data converted by the digital data conversion device 31.
- the absorbance of each wavelength band of the determination target 2 is calculated from the acquired information of the light intensity of each wavelength band. It is possible to obtain the absorption spectrum of the determination subject 2 from the calculated absorbance for each wavelength band.
- Arithmetic processing unit 10 detects the brominated flame retardant by evaluating this absorption spectrum, and determines whether or not the brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2.
- near infrared spectroscopy using near infrared light (light with a wavelength of 2.5 ⁇ m or less) will be described.
- the two covalently linked molecules oscillate while maintaining an equilibrium distance.
- This vibration has various vibration modes such as stretching vibration in which the bonding distance between molecules expands and contracts, bending vibration in which a bonding angle vibrates, and internal rotational vibration vibrating around a bonding axis.
- a vibration having such independent vibration characteristics is called a reference vibration.
- the anharmonicity of the vibration causes an interaction between the vibrations.
- the dipole moment is changed to cause absorption of near infrared light.
- the wavelength of near infrared light absorbed and the degree of absorption (absorbance) are determined by the type of substance. Therefore, the absorption spectrum when irradiated with near infrared light shows a position (peak) with high absorbance in a specific wavelength band. That is, it is possible to identify a substance by evaluating the peak of this absorption spectrum.
- the type of resin can be determined by irradiating the near infrared light and detecting the peak of the absorption spectrum.
- the present inventors do not directly detect the absorption spectrum of bromine, but a method of detecting a bromine-based flame retardant using near-infrared light, that is, detects a bromine-based flame retardant according to the first embodiment. I found a way to do it.
- bromine-based flame retardants widely used all over the world include bromine compounds such as tetrabromobisphenol-based or hexabromocyclododecane-based. Most of these brominated flame retardants have a molecular structure having a C—H bond or the like in addition to the C—Br bond. The absorption of near-infrared light by the C—H bond present in the vicinity of these C—Br bonds is affected by anharmonic vibration due to the C—Br bonds. In other words, these C—H bonds are not only influenced by the stretching and bending vibrations of the inherent C—H bond, but also by the influence of vibrations of C—Br bonds existing in the vicinity. It is thought to absorb external light.
- the present inventors considered that it is possible to detect whether or not there is a brominated flame retardant by detecting the absorption spectrum of the CH bond and evaluating whether or not the peak position is shifted.
- PBB tribromobiphenyl
- OBDE octabromodiphenyl ether
- DBDE decabromodiphenyl ether
- HCDD dodecane
- TBPA tetrabromobisphenol A
- TBPA-bis tetrabromobisphenol A bis
- TBPA derivative tetrabromobisphenol A derivative
- the graph which showed the absorption spectrum of these brominated flame retardants is shown in FIG.
- the abscissa represents the wavelength band and the ordinate represents the absorbance. From the results of FIG. 6, it can be confirmed that there is a characteristic absorption spectrum peak for each type of brominated flame retardant.
- the content of the ABS resin is reduced by the proportion containing the brominated flame retardant. Therefore, the absorbance of the Br-containing ABS resin as a whole is reduced as compared to the absorbance of the Br-non-ABS resin.
- the peak position of the absorption spectrum shifts due to the decrease in the content of the ABS resin. That is, as described above, different peaks are generated at the position of arrow A and at the position of arrow B because the peaks of absorption spectra of some C—H bonds are theoretical due to the inclusion of the brominated flame retardant. It is believed that this is caused by the shift from the peak position (1.41 ⁇ m) of the street to the peak position (1.43 ⁇ m) of the experiment.
- the inventors of the present invention can detect the brominated flame retardant by evaluating the absorption spectrum of 1.43 ⁇ m, and can determine whether the brominated flame retardant is contained in the ABS resin. I thought.
- the position (1.43 ⁇ m) of arrow B substantially coincides with the peak position of the tetrabromobisphenol A derivative in FIG. From this, the shifted peak position of the absorption spectrum of the CH bond appearing in the brominated flame retardant and the shifted peak position of the absorption spectrum of the CH bond appearing in the resin containing the brominated flame retardant are It can be seen that they almost coincide. Moreover, when the measurement was performed also about other brominated flame retardants, the same phenomenon was able to be confirmed.
- the brominated flame retardant contained in the resin can be detected by evaluating the peak of the shifted absorption spectrum of the CH bond shown in FIG.
- the change in the peak of the absorption spectrum due to the influence of the brominated flame retardant is very slight as is apparent from the results of FIG.
- a peak of the absorption spectrum of the resin not containing the brominated flame retardant is present in the vicinity of the peak of the absorption spectrum shifted in position under the influence of the brominated flame retardant. That is, the present inventors derived from the experimental results in FIG. 6 that the wavelength band for evaluating the absorption spectrum is preferably the following wavelength band in order to detect only the shifted peak.
- the wavelength bands to be specifically evaluated are a wavelength band of 1.42 ⁇ m or more and 1.44 ⁇ m or less, a wavelength band of 1.45 ⁇ m or more and 1.47 ⁇ m or less, and a wavelength band of 1.66 ⁇ m or more and 1.68 ⁇ m or less, respectively.
- a wavelength band of 1.72 ⁇ m or more and 1.74 ⁇ m or less, a wavelength band of 1.92 ⁇ m or more and 1.94 ⁇ m or less, a wavelength band of 2.11 ⁇ m or more and 2.12 ⁇ m or less, and a wavelength of 2.17 ⁇ m or more and 2.20 ⁇ m or less It is a band and a wavelength band of 2.31 ⁇ m or more and 2.34 ⁇ m or less.
- the bromine-based flame retardant can be detected even if it is irradiated with near-infrared light which can not detect the original absorption spectrum of bromine, and it is difficult to use bromine-based resin in the resin. It can be determined whether or not a flame retardant is contained.
- the determination target 2 is a brominated flame retardant It is determined that the to-be-determined object 2a containing The to-be-determined object 2a determined to contain the brominated flame retardant is stored in the waste box 14 regardless of the type of the brominated flame retardant. For this reason, only the to-be-determined object 2b determined not to contain a brominated flame retardant can be rapidly classify
- a bromine compound is used as a brominated flame retardant. More specifically, the brominated flame retardant is any one of PBB, PBDE, HBCDD, TBBPA, TBBPA-bis and TBBPA derivatives.
- the wavelength band corresponding to the kind of brominated flame retardant is selected from the above wavelength bands, and only the absorption spectrum in the selected wavelength band is selected. It may be evaluated to identify the type of brominated flame retardant.
- the arithmetic processing unit 10 determines whether the brominated flame retardant is contained or not by evaluating the peak of the absorption spectrum of the determination subject 2 based on the output from each channel of the light receiving array 24. Specifically, wavelength bands of 1.42 ⁇ m to 1.44 ⁇ m (3, 4 channels), wavelength bands of 1.45 ⁇ m to 1.47 ⁇ m (6, 7 channels), 1.66 ⁇ m to 1.68 ⁇ m The following wavelength bands (27, 28 channels), wavelength bands of 1.72 ⁇ m or more and 1.74 ⁇ m or less (33, 34 channels), wavelength bands of 1.92 ⁇ m or more and 1.94 ⁇ m or less (53, 54 channels), 2.11 ⁇ m to 2.12 ⁇ m wavelength band (72 channels), 2.17 ⁇ m to 2.20 ⁇ m wavelength bands (78, 79, 80 channels), 2.31 ⁇ m to 2.34 ⁇ m wavelength bands ( Bromine-based flame retardants are detected by evaluating the absorption spectra of (92, 93, 94 channels).
- the processing unit 10 determines whether or not the determination target 2 is a PP resin based on the output of 36 channels that can correspond to around 1.75 ⁇ m.
- optical fibers 25 corresponding to, for example, 10 channels, 11 channels, and 12 channels may be connected to the same light receiving element 30 via the connector 29 other than the channels used for the determination of the brominated flame retardant.
- a wavelength band in the range of 1.49 ⁇ m to 1.52 ⁇ m is detected with a resolution of 0.03 ⁇ m.
- the channel used to determine the brominated flame retardant is detected at 0.01 ⁇ m.
- an optical fiber 25 corresponding to channel 110 is used. Need not be connected to the light receiving element 30.
- the light reception array 24 which has 110 optical fibers 25 was employ
- the arithmetic processing unit 10 matches is performed with the data of absorption spectra of the resin and the brominated flame retardant stored in advance, and the type of the resin of the judgment object 2 and whether the brominated flame retardant is contained or not It is judged. More specifically, as shown in FIG. 1B, the arithmetic processing unit 10 stores the data of the absorption spectra of the resin and the brominated flame retardant on the basis of the information in the storage unit 10a and the storage unit 10a.
- An absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b that calculates an absorption spectrum of the determination object 2 from information of the reflected light 9 detected by the light receiving array 24 of the external light detection device 6, and a peak shifted based on the calculation result in the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b
- a determination unit 10d that determines whether a brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2 based on the evaluation by the peak evaluation unit 10c.
- Information required for the evaluation of the peak evaluation unit 10c (such as a wavelength band used for evaluation) and the determination result of the determination unit 10d are also stored in the storage unit 10a.
- Arithmetic processing unit 10 further includes a resin determination unit 10e that determines the type of resin of determination target 2, and a priority determination unit 10f that determines the priority of the wavelength band based on the determination result of resin determination unit 10e. Even if the determining unit 10d determines whether the brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2 based on the absorption spectrum in the wavelength band based on the priority determined by the priority determining unit 10f. Good.
- the determination result of the resin determination unit 10e, the determination result of the determination unit 10d, and the like are also stored in the storage unit 10a.
- a determination algorithm As a determination algorithm here, a method of extracting necessary information from multi-variable feature quantities of the absorption spectrum of near-infrared light is required. Therefore, in general, a determination method based on multivariate analysis by a chemometrics method is effective.
- the chemometrics method is a method of estimating the effective result by the optimal processing method using mathematical or statistical methods from the obtained large and multivariate data.
- determination algorithms include linear multiple regression analysis or principal component analysis, and PLS (Partial Least Squares) regression analysis is also effective.
- cluster analysis is also suitable, and among them, determination using Mahalanobis distance or asymmetric Mahalanobis distance is effective, but an algorithm to be actually adopted is appropriately selected.
- the brominated flame retardant may be determined to be included if the detected spectrum value exceeds the threshold value by comparing the threshold value with a preset threshold value. Conversely, when the detected spectral value does not exceed the threshold value, it is determined that the brominated flame retardant is not contained.
- the wavelength band is a wavelength band at a position where the peak of the absorption spectrum of the CH bond contained in the resin is shifted from the original position, the peak of the absorption spectrum is adjacent to the wavelength band.
- the shift in position changes the absorption spectrum as compared to the resin in the state containing no brominated flame retardant. Therefore, it is possible to detect a brominated flame retardant more accurately by evaluating an absorption spectrum also about the wavelength zone which adjoins the above-mentioned wavelength zone.
- step S1 an arbitrary place of the loading area 3A on the conveyor belt 3 which is moving at a constant speed by the to-be-determined object 2 disposed on the hopper 4 by the vibration or swinging operation of the hopper 4.
- step S1 an arbitrary place of the loading area 3A on the conveyor belt 3 which is moving at a constant speed by the to-be-determined object 2 disposed on the hopper 4 by the vibration or swinging operation of the hopper 4.
- step S2 the near infrared light detection device 6 (the light receiving array 24 in FIG. 4) detects the reflected light 9 dispersed for each wavelength band from the determination target 2 that has reached the detection region 3B.
- step S3 the information of the reflected light 9 detected by the near infrared light detection device 6 is output from the near infrared light detection device 6 to the arithmetic processing unit 10, and the reflected light input in the arithmetic processing unit 10 Based on the information of 9, the absorption spectrum of the determination subject 2 is calculated by the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b.
- step S4 based on the absorption spectrum calculated by the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b, the value of the peak shifted to the above range of the wavelength band is compared with a preset threshold value, and the value of the shifted peak is The peak evaluation unit 10c evaluates whether the threshold value is exceeded.
- step S5 based on the evaluation by the peak evaluation unit 10c of the arithmetic processing unit 10, the determination unit 10d determines whether or not the brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2. Specifically, if the peak evaluation unit 10c evaluates that the shifted peak value exceeds the threshold value, the determination unit 10d determines that the brominated flame retardant is contained. If the peak evaluation unit 10c evaluates that the shifted peak value does not exceed the threshold value, the determination unit 10d determines that the brominated flame retardant is not included.
- step S5 when the determination unit 10d determines that the brominated flame retardant is not contained (NO in step S5), the operation flow proceeds to step S6.
- step S6 the air is blown by the pulse air nozzle 12 during free fall from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3 to the determination target 2b determined by the determination unit 10d that the brominated flame retardant is not contained. .
- the to-be-determined thing 2b determined not to contain a brominated flame retardant is stored in the recycle box 13.
- step S5 when it is determined that the brominated flame retardant is contained (YES in step S5), the operation flow proceeds to step S7. No air is blown by the pulse air nozzle 12 to the to-be-determined object 2a determined to contain the brominated flame retardant in step S7, and free fall from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3 to the waste box 14 Stored.
- the arithmetic processing unit 10 can determine at a high speed whether the brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2 or not. . Thereby, it is possible to sort out only the to-be-judged item 2b which does not contain the brominated flame retardant from the plurality of to-be-judged objects 2 in which it is unclear whether the brominated flame retardant is contained.
- the brominated flame retardant determination method does not require pretreatment. Therefore, the time (about 10 minutes) required for the pre-processing of one to-be-determined object 2 does not need to perform with respect to all the to-be-determined objects 2. That is, it is possible to shorten the measurement time by the number of objects to be determined 2 ⁇ pre-processing time. Furthermore, in the FT-IR, it takes about 1.6 seconds, for example, to judge after irradiation with mid-infrared light, whereas in the brominated flame retardant judgment method according to the first embodiment, the near-infrared light is used. It is possible to determine, for example, in about 1 millisecond (1/1000 second) after light irradiation.
- the width of the conveyor belt 3 of the brominated flame retardant determining apparatus 1 shown in FIG. 1A is 1 m, and the length from the hopper 4 to the end 11 of the conveyor belt 3 is 10 m. There is.
- the width of the conveyor belt 3 can be arbitrarily determined from the required processing capacity and equipment cost, and the length of the conveyor belt 3 is also motion caused by the object 2 being loaded by the hopper 4 And the position on the conveyor belt 3 is stable.
- the size of the determination object 2 is a small piece made of resin whose side is several tens of mm or less to approximately 5 mm square or more. This size is determined from the size of the to-be-determined object 2 actually flowing through the conveyor belt 3 and the spatial resolution of the near-infrared light detection device 6 so that the small to-be-determined object 2 is sorted in advance and is not mixed. It is devised. As an example of the size of the to-be-judged object 2 sorted in advance, in the first embodiment, the to-be-judged object 2 having a side of 5 mm or less is used.
- the speed of transfer by the conveyor belt 3 is selected from the necessary amount of sorting, and as an example, 1 m / s to 5 m / s is preferable. In the first embodiment, the transfer is performed at 3 m / s.

- the blaze wavelength of the diffraction grating 22 is 2.0 ⁇ m, and the grating pitch is 200 pieces / mm.
- a spectral angle of about 12 degrees can be obtained in the band of 1.40 ⁇ m or more and 2.50 ⁇ m or less.
- the blaze wavelength of the diffraction grating 22 can be selected in the range of 1.40 ⁇ m to 2.50 ⁇ m, and the grating pitch is 100 lines / mm to 300 lines. You may select in the range below / mm.
- the angle with respect to the optical axis 15 of the diffraction grating 22 shown in FIG. 4 depends on the secondary reflected light from the diffraction grating 22, but as an example, it is preferably 5 degrees to 40 degrees.
- a condensing spot becomes about 50 micrometers or more and 100 micrometers or less as an example from an optical aberration.
- a core diameter of about 100 ⁇ m to 1000 ⁇ m is desirable to use as an example, instead of the core diameter of several ⁇ m as in ordinary optical fibers.
- the cladding diameter when the cladding diameter is large relative to the core diameter, such as a core diameter of 500 ⁇ m and a cladding diameter of 1000 ⁇ m, the cladding layer exists 250 ⁇ m thick around the core and each optical fiber 25 is brought into contact Even if arranged in a row, a 250 ⁇ m layer generates a band where light can not be collected. In this case, it is not possible to continuously condense the wavelength of light, and the band has a jump value. Therefore, it is desirable that the core diameter and the cladding diameter be substantially equivalent to each other, and the ratio of the core diameter to the cladding diameter is preferably, for example, 1: 1 to 1: 1.2.
- the light receiving array 24 is illustrated as an example of the light receiving unit, the present invention is not limited to this, and a plurality of image sensors, for example, an avalanche photodiode (APD) element may be used.
- APD avalanche photodiode
- the light receiving element 30 has different conversion efficiencies in the wavelength band, elements having high efficiency on the long wavelength side may be selected from the short wavelength side of the incident light.
- the light of 2.50 ⁇ m or more (mid-infrared light) has a large transmission loss in a normal optical system and is naturally filtered. Therefore, the wavelength filter 16 may cut the light of 1.40 ⁇ m or less, for example. .
- light of an arbitrary wavelength band may be incident on the near infrared light detection unit 8 by a combination of the halogen lamp 5 and the wavelength filter 16.
- the halogen lamp 5 For example, in the case of determining whether or not a brominated flame retardant is contained, only light having a wavelength band of 1.42 ⁇ m to 2.34 ⁇ m may be made incident on the near infrared light detection unit 8.
- the flame retardant used can be identified according to the type of resin.
- the flame retardant used for the ABS resin is TBBPA or a TBBPA derivative.
- a flame retardant of TBBPA and a TBBPA derivative is added (bromine concentration 15% (mass fraction), flame retardant grade V0) to a virgin ABS resin to which no brominated flame retardant is added, and an absorption spectrum is obtained.
- the graph which compared these is shown in FIG. In the graph of FIG. 12, the abscissa represents the wavelength and the ordinate represents the absorbance.
- the ABS resin containing TBBPA should be used for the evaluation of absorption spectrum because there is a difference in the wavelength band of 1.45 ⁇ m to 1.47 ⁇ m (the position of arrow A in the figure) compared to virgin ABS resin.
- the arithmetic processing unit 10 can distinguish between the two.
- the arithmetic processing unit 10 determines whether or not the brominated flame retardant is contained in the determination target 2. Thereby, when the to-be-determined thing 2 is comprised by an ABS resin, it can be determined with high precision whether this to-be-determined thing 2 contains a brominated flame retardant.
- the recycled material sorting apparatus 33 using the method of determining the brominated flame retardant according to the first embodiment will be described.
- the recycled material sorting apparatus 33 according to the second embodiment is a recycled material that is a specific resin that does not contain a brominated flame retardant, from a plurality of objects to be judged 2 for which it is unclear whether a brominated flame retardant is contained or not. , Sorting and collecting equipment.
- the configuration of the recycled material sorting apparatus 33 will be described using FIGS. 9 and 1B.
- the recycled material sorting apparatus 33 includes a metal sensor 34 and a high-speed line CCD camera 35 installed above the metal detection area 3D and the black detection area 3E between the input area 3A of the conveyor belt 3 and the detection area 3B. It differs from the brominated flame retardant determination device 1 according to the first embodiment in that
- the metal sensor 34 is a sensor in which magnetic sensors for point detection are aligned on a line in the conveyance direction of the conveyor belt 3, and the metal attached to the judgment object 2 or the metal present around the judgment object 2 It is something to detect.
- surroundings by the metal sensor 34 in metal detection area 3D is stored in the discard box 14 after arriving at 3 C of sorting area
- surroundings is classify
- the high-speed line CCD camera 35 is an imaging sensor for imaging the determination target 2.
- the to-be-judged object 2 is close to black, most of the infrared light is absorbed, and the infrared light reflected from the to-be-judged object 2 can not be detected. Therefore, the near infrared light detection device 6 can not recognize the determination target 2. For this reason, the high-speed line CCD camera 35 is installed to detect the determination object 2 close to black. If the judgment object 2 is not recognized by the near-infrared light detection device 6 and the judgment object 2 is detected only by the high-speed line CCD camera 35, the judgment unit 10 d of the arithmetic processing unit 10 judges the material unknown for the judgment object 2 It is determined that the object 2d. The to-be-determined object 2d is stored in the discard box 14.
- the position information includes the value from the encoder detector 91 of the motor 90 of the conveyor belt 3 driven and controlled by the control unit 93, the near infrared light detection device 6, the metal sensor 34, and the high speed line CCD camera 35.
- the position on the conveyor belt 3 of the to-be-determined object 2 can be specified by taking in the arrangement position.
- the air is blown to the object to be judged 2f by the pulse air nozzle 12 only when there is neither an unknown object to be judged 2d nor metal including the surroundings of the object to be judged 2f determined to be a recycled material. Will do. This is to prevent mixing of the unknown object to be determined 2 d or metal into the recycling box 13.
- step S11 the metal sensor 34 performs a metal inspection of the determination target 2 in the metal detection region 3D. Based on the information from the metal sensor 34, in the determination object 2 which has passed through the metal detection area 3D, it is determined whether the metal attached to the determination object 2 or the metal exists around the determination object 2 Determined by 10d. If the metal attached to the judgment object 2 or a metal is detected around the judgment object 2 (YES in step S11), the process proceeds to step S7. In step S7, when the to-be-determined object 2c reaches the sorting area 3C of the conveyor belt 3, it falls freely from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3 in the sorting area 3C and is stored in the waste box 14. In step S11, when the metal attached to the to-be-determined object 2 or the metal is not detected around the to-be-determined object 2 (NO in step S11), the process proceeds to step S12.
- step S12 the high-speed line CCD camera 35 captures an image of the determination target 2 in the black detection area 3E. Whether the infrared light reflected from the object to be judged 2 can be detected or not is judged by the judgment unit 10d by the imaging information by the high-speed line CCD camera 35 and the recognition information in the detection area 3B by the near infrared light detection device 6. Do. If it is determined by the determination unit 10d that the to-be-determined object 2 is close to black, can not detect near-infrared light, and is determined to be an unknown to-be-determined object 2d (NO in step S12), the process proceeds to step S7. move on.
- step S7 when the unknown material to be determined 2d reaches the sorting area 3C of the conveyor belt 3, it falls freely from the end 11 of the conveyor belt 3 in the sorting area 3C and is stored in the waste box 14. If it is determined that the to-be-determined object 2 is not black and is determined to be the to-be-determined object 2d capable of detecting near infrared light (YES in step S12), the process proceeds to step S2.
- step S2 the near infrared light detection device 6 detects the reflected light 9 dispersed for each wavelength band from the to-be-determined object 2 that has been input and reached the detection region 3B.
- step S3 the information on the reflected light 9 detected by the near infrared light detection device 6 is output from the near infrared light detection device 6 to the arithmetic processing unit 10, and the reflected light 9 input to the arithmetic processing unit 10
- the absorption spectrum of the to-be-determined object 2 is calculated by the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10 b from the information in the above.
- step S4 the value of the peak shifted to the wavelength range described in the first embodiment is compared with the preset threshold value from the absorption spectrum calculated by the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b, and The peak evaluation unit 10c evaluates whether the value exceeds the threshold value.
- step S5 When it is determined that the determination unit 10d contains a brominated flame retardant (YES in step S5), the operation flow proceeds to step S7. No air is blown by the pulse air nozzle 12 to the to-be-determined object 2a determined to contain the brominated flame retardant in step S7, and free fall from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3 to the waste box 14 Stored.
- step S5 the determination unit 10d determines that the brominated flame retardant is not contained (NO in step S5), the operation flow proceeds to step S13.
- step S13 the resin determination unit 10e of the arithmetic processing unit 10 determines the type of resin of the determination target 2 based on the information from the near-infrared light detection device 6. If the resin determination unit 10e determines that the type of resin of the determination target 2 is not a PP resin of recycled material (NO in step S13), the operation flow proceeds to step S7. In step S ⁇ b> 7, the to-be-determined object 2 e freely falls from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3 and is stored in the discard box 14.
- step S6 when the resin determination unit 10e determines that the type of resin of the determination target 2 is PP resin of recycled material (YES in step S13), the operation flow proceeds to step S6.
- step S6 while the object to be determined 2f falls freely from the end portion 11 of the conveyor belt 3, the air supply source 95 is driven based on the control result of the control unit 93 based on the determination result of the resin determination unit 10e. The air is blown by the pulse air nozzle 12. Thereby, the to-be-determined thing 2f which is PP resin which does not contain a brominated flame retardant is stored in the recycle box 13 as a recycling material.
- the to-be-judged object 2 is sorted using the recycled material sorting device 33.
- resin which does not contain impurities, such as a brominated flame retardant or metal can be collected rapidly. For this reason, the collected resin can be applied as a high-quality recycled material.
- the apparatus since near-infrared light is used for determination of the determination target 2, the apparatus can be manufactured at much lower cost than the conventional apparatus using mid-infrared light. If low-cost equipment is realized, resin recycling will be more common, and environmental impact can be reduced.
- the object to be judged 2f sorted by the sorting unit 12 is reused to recycle the recycled material sorting device 33 and the recycled material sorting method. It may be a recycling method. As a method of reuse, the method described in JP-A-2001-205632 can be used. In this case, in order to reuse the determination target 2b (or 2f) determined to not contain a brominated flame retardant, the sorting unit 12 has a determined target 2a determined to contain a brominated flame retardant, It has a function of selecting the object to be judged 2b (or 2f) determined to not contain a brominated flame retardant.
- the positional relationship between the near-infrared light detection device 6, the metal sensor 34, and the high-speed line CCD camera 35 can be interchanged without being limited to the form of the second embodiment.
- the distance determined to be the periphery of the to-be-determined object 2 can be set arbitrarily, it depends on the spatial resolution of the air blowing at the time of the final sorting.
- the type of resin of the to-be-determined object 2 is determined, and the peak in the wavelength band corresponding to the determined type of resin is evaluated.
- the operation of determining whether the Here, PP resin, ABS resin, and PS (polystyrene) resin are illustrated as a kind of resin.
- movement in the case of this modification is shown to FIG. 10B, and operation
- the resin determination unit 10e of the arithmetic processing unit 10 determines the type of resin of the determination target 2.
- PP resin has a CH 3 methyl group, so it has a peak in the wavelength band around 1.75 ⁇ m
- a CH aromatic-containing ABS resin and PS resin have a peak in the wavelength band around 1.69 ⁇ m
- an ABS resin has a peak in a wavelength band around 1.96 ⁇ m because of the molecular structure contained in acrylonitrile. It is possible to determine the type of resin by detecting these peaks with a near infrared detector.
- the priority determination unit 10f determines the priority of the wavelength band used for the determination in step S5 (step S13a).
- the priority of this wavelength band should be used.
- the 1st and 2nd places of the priority are the wavelength band of 1.42 ⁇ m to 1.44 ⁇ m and the wavelength of 1.45 ⁇ m to 1.47 ⁇ m, respectively.
- band and an unnecessary wavelength band is a wavelength band of 1.66 micrometers or more and 1.68 micrometers or less, a wavelength band of 1.72 micrometers or more and 1.74 micrometers or less, 1.92 micrometers or more.
- Information on the wavelength band with high priority and the wavelength band with low priority as described above is stored in advance in the storage unit 10 a connected to the priority determining unit 10 f according to the type of resin.
- the detection operation (absorption spectrum calculation processing) of the brominated flame retardant is performed using only the wavelength band having high priority. Can be processed more efficiently.
- the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b may calculate the absorption spectrum in the wavelength band having a high priority according to the resin. Thereafter, the operations of steps S4 to S6 or S7 are performed by the absorption spectrum calculation unit 10b, the peak evaluation unit 10c, and the determination unit 10d, as in FIG. 10A. Note that the peak evaluation unit 10 c of the arithmetic processing unit 10 may evaluate the absorption spectrum in the wavelength band having a high priority according to the resin in step S ⁇ b> 4.
- the processing efficiency can be improved.
- information from wavelength bands that are not required for the determination of brominated flame retardants can be considered to affect the determination results as noise, but using only the wavelength band with high priority for determination, the effect of noise can be It can be reduced.
- step S13 and step S13a of FIG. 10B described in the modification may be performed between step S2 and step S3 in the flow shown in FIG. 8 of the first embodiment.
