Description
特定的には、本発明は、最大電力点追跡(MPPT:Maximum PowerPoint Tracking )制御方式を適用して、太陽電池パネルなどの光発電パネルの出力電力を効率よく電力変換する発明に関する。
太陽電池は、入射される太陽光の日射強度や、周囲温度によって出力電力が変動し、最大電力動作点も大きく変動する。そのため、日射強度などの状況によって変動する太陽電池パネルの最大出力電力を検出する最大電力点追跡(以下、MPPTと略す)制御方式が提案されている。
他方、応答性を良くするためにスイッチング素子のゲートに印加するパルス幅の変化幅を大きくとると、定常状態で電力が大きく振動するため、電力取得の効率が低下する。
最大電力検出モードにおいて、DC-DCコンバータを構成するスイッチング素子を制御して、DC-DCコンバータを構成するインダクタに流れる太陽電池パネルの出力電流を零から短絡電流まで変化させて、太陽電池パネルの電流・電圧(I-V)特性を瞬時にスキャンする。
次いで、追従動作モードにおいて、検出した太陽電池パネルの出力電流を最適太陽電池電流として、DC-DCコンバータ内のスイッチング素子を制御して、この最適太陽電池電流を基準信号として太陽電池パネルの出力電流を追従させ、得られた最大電力動作点で動作するように追従制御を行う。
ところで、MPPT制御方式を適用して効率のよい太陽光発電システムを構成する場合、電力変換手段内にインダクタを用いることが必須要件ではない種々の形態の電力変換手段を使用可能とすることが望まれている。
加えて、そのような種々の形態の電力変換手段を適用可能な制御手法および制御装置を見いだすことが望まれている。
また本発明は、当該光発電制御システムに好適に適用可能な電力変換装置を提供する。
さらに本発明は、当該電力変換装置を用いた太陽光発電システムに適用可能な制御装置を提供する。
また本発明は、その制御方法およびそのプログラムを提供する。
(1)全体の動作モード
状況によって変動する光発電ユニット、たとえば、太陽電池パネルの出力電力に則して、最大電力検出モードの動作と(図3、ステップ1)、追従動作モードの動作(図3ステップ2)とを、連続的または周期的に、交互に反復する。
(2)最大電力検出モードにおいて(ステップ1)、その時の太陽光発電ユニットの最適電力を検出し、その最適電力に対応した最適動作電圧を求める。
(3)追従動作モードにおいて(ステップ2)、求めた最適動作電圧を基準電圧として電力変換手段を動作させる。
制御手段は、最大電力検出モードの制御動作と追従動作モードの制御動作とを交互に行い、両者のモードにおいて前記スイッチング素子を制御して前記電力変換手段の変換動作を制御する。
前記制御手段は、前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、
(a)前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にし、
(b)当該開放状態から、前記スイッチング素子を第2の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする過程において、
前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力が最大となる点を検出し、
当該最大電力を検出したときの前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧を最適な出力電圧として検出する。
前記制御手段は、前記追従動作モードにおいて、前記最適な出力電圧を基準電圧として、当該基準電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差が「0」またはほぼ「0」となるように前記スイッチング素子を動作させる。
また、本発明によれば、種々の形態の電力変換手段を適用可能な制御手法および制御装置が得られた。
第1実施の形態
図1は「独立型」太陽光発電システムの一実施形態を示す構成図である。図2~図4は図1に図解した太陽光発電システムの動作を示す図である。
第1実施の形態において、本発明の光発電ユニットの1例として太陽電池パネル(PV)を例示する。
太陽光発電システム100は、PV(PV)11と、PV11の出力端子(TO1,TO2)間の出力電圧VPVを検出する(測定する)電圧計12と、PV11の出力電流IPVを検出する(測定する)電流計13と、DC-DCコンバータを有する電力変換回路24と、電力変換回路24を制御する制御装置25とを有する。
太陽光発電システム100は、入射光に応じてPV11で発電した電力を負荷16側が希望する電圧VL で供給する。
ここで、負荷16は、バッテリィを含む商用電源と独立した負荷や電圧VL を一定に保機能を有する系統連系インバータなど商用電源と接続される負荷を想定している。
PV11は、各々が所定起電力の太陽電池セル(以下、セルと略する)が複数個接続されて構成されている。PV11を構成する複数個のセルの接続方法としては種々の態様を取りうる。たとえば、複数個のセルを並列に接続してもよいし、所定数のセルを直列に接続したユニットを並列に接続してもよい。使用するセルの数は希望する電力に応じて選択される。
PV11は、照射される光量、温度になどに応じた電力を発生し、出力端子TO1,TO2から電力変換回路24に出力する。
本発明の電力変換手段の1実施の形態としての電力変換回路24は、インダクタ241と、MOSFET242と、ダイオード243と、キャパシタ244とが、図示のごとく接続された昇圧型(Boost-type) のDC-DCコンバータである。
電力変換回路24は、MOSFET242を、たとえば、PWM(パルス幅変調)方式で制御する制御装置25の制御に従ってPV11で発生した直流電力PPV(または直流電圧VPV)を変換して負荷16側に供給する電力変換機能を有する。
ダイオード243は逆流防止用である。
MOSFET242は、電力変換機能を遂行する他、出力端子TO1、TO2の間(または、ノードN1,N2の間)を開放状態または短絡状態にするように、出力端子TO1、TO2の間に接続されている。MOSFET242は、本発明のスイッチング(SW)素子の1種であり、パワートランジスタなどその他のSW素子を用いることができる。
図2に図解の時点t1において、MOSFET242が、第2の論理状態、たとえば、「閉」状態となりノードN1,N2の間を短絡したとき、キャパシタ244の両端のノードN3,N4の間の電圧VPVは低下する。他方、PV11の出力電流IPVおよび出力電力PPVは、「0」またはほぼ「0」から増加していく。
電力変換回路24においては、インダクタ241は電力変換機能を遂行することのみに動作し、MPPT制御のための過渡特性を監視するためには必須ではない。このように、本発明に適用する電力変換手段として、図1に例示したインダクタ241を用いる回路としてDC-DCコンバータには限定されない。その詳細を後述する。
なお、第1実施の形態において、図1に図解したインダクタ241を用いたDC-DCコンバータによる電力変換回路24について述べる。
制御装置25は、A/D変換部(ADC)251と、乗算部252と、最大電力検出部253と、保持回路253aと、第1加算部254と、第1制御演算部255と、搬送波発生部256と、比較部258と、PWM信号生成部259と、基準電圧(VREF )生部260と、第2加算部261と、第2制御演算部262と、第1スイッチング(SW)部263と、全体制御部264と、第2スイッチング(SW)部265と、基準電流(IREF )発生部266と、第3加算部267とを有する。
たとえば、制御装置25は、複雑な演算処理および判断処理を行う部分をコンピュータまたはDSPで構成し、他の部分はハードウエア回路により構成することができる。
たとえば、搬送波発生部256と、PWM信号生成部259と、VREF 発生部260と、IREF 発生部266とをハードウエア回路で構成し、その他の制御演算および判断に係る部分、たとえば、乗算部252と、最大電力検出部253と、保持回路253aと、第1加算部254と、第1制御演算部255と、比較部258と、第2加算部261と、第2制御演算部262と、第1SW部263と、全体制御部264と、第2SW部265と、第3加算部267とをコンピュータを用いたソフトウエアまたはプログラムとして実現することができる。
上述した回路の保持機能は、ハードウエア回路としてはレジスタまたは記憶回路、コンピュータとしては、コンピュータのメモリによって実現することができる。
以下、制御装置25として、上述したように、ハードウエア回路とコンピュータを用いたソフトウエアで有機的に機能分担して実現した場合を例示する。
その時のコンピュータの処理機能を図4のフローチャートを参照して述べる。
図2、図3に図解したように、全体制御部264は、制御装置25の全体の動作の制御を行う。
たとえば、全体制御部264は、最大電力検出モード(または、I-Vスキャンモード)と(図2、図3、ステップ1)、追従動作モード(図2、図3、ステップ2)とを判断して交互に切り換える動作、これらのモードに応じて動作させるべき回路の起動または停止などの処理を行う。
制御装置25は、ステップ2の追従動作モードにおいて、最大電力検出モードで検出した最適動作電圧Vopを維持するように制御装置25で電力変換回路24を制御動作させる。
ADC251において変換されたデジタル電圧Vpvは、乗算部252、第1加算部254の第2(負極)端子および第2加算部261の第2(負極)端子に印加される。
ADC251において変換されたデジタル電流IPVは、乗算部252に印加される。
最大電力検出部253は、乗算部252で算出した電力Ppvを監視して、図2(E)に図解した最大電力Pmax を検出し、図2(D)に図解した最大電力Pmax に対応する最適な出力電圧Vopを算出して、最適な出力電圧Vopを保持回路253aに出力して保持させる。この処理内容の詳細は図2および図4を参照して後述する。
保持回路253aに保持された最適な出力電圧Vopが、追従動作モードにおいて基準信号として使用される。
追従動作モードにおいて全体制御部264(または、最大電力検出部253)によってSW部263が第2入力端子bを選択しているとき、制御演算部255で算出された第2の基準波信号Vref 2が比較部258の第1入力端子に印加される。
このように、鋸歯状波形(または三角波形)の搬送波パルス信号Vc を用いるのは、PWM信号生成部259において、比較部258において第2の基準電圧信号Vref 2または後述する第1の基準電圧信号Vref 1のレベルと比較したときレベルに応じたパルス幅の信号を発生させるためである。
比較部258は、搬送波パルス信号Vc のレベルが第2の基準波信号Vref 2または第1の基準電圧信号Vref 1より低いとき、たとえば、ローレベルの信号をPWM信号生成部259に出力する。他方、比較部258は、搬送波パルス信号Vcのレベルが第2の基準波信号Vref 2または第1の基準電圧信号Vref 1より高いとき、たとえば、ハイレベルの信号をPWM信号生成部259に出力する。
比較部258から出力される比較結果信号の論理レベルの変化が、PWM制御信号S259のオン・オフのデューティ比を規定する。
他方、MOSFET242のゲートにローレベルのPWM制御信号が印加されるとMOSFET242はオフとなり、電力変換回路24内のノードN1とノードN2との間は開放状態となる。その結果、電力変換回路24内のインダクタ241とキャパシタ244とのLC回路の時定数でPV11の出力電圧VPVをキャパシタ244に蓄積していく。その結果、キャパシタ244において昇圧される。
このように、制御装置25は、PV11の状態に則して、電力変換回路24内のMOSFET242を適切にPWM変調方式で制御して、負荷16に所望の電力を供給する。
図2に図解した期間t0~t1において、IREF 発生部266から出力される基準電流信号Irefは「0」であり、時点t1において開放電圧VOCであり、その後、時点t1~t3の期間の間の経過時間tについて、t1~t3の期間を時間tD としたとき、VREF発生部260は、次式で規定される、基準電圧Vref0を発生する。

第2加算部261は、期間t1 ~t3 において、VREF 発生部260から印加される基準電圧信号Vref 0と、ADC251から出力される出力電圧VPVとの差(VPV-Vref0)を演算する。その演算結果は第2SW部265を経由して第2制御演算部262に印加される。
全体制御部264は第2SW部265を上記タイミングt0 ~t1 ,t1 ~t3 で切り替える。
最大電力検出モードにおいて、ADC251、乗算部252、最大電力検出部253、VREF 発生部260、IREF 発生部266、加算部261,267、制御演算部262、SW部263(第1入力端子a)、比較部258、搬送波発生部256、PWM信号生成部259、SW部265が動作する。
他方、追従動作モードにおいて、保持回路253a、加算部254、SW部263(第2入力端子b)、比較部258、搬送波発生部256、PWM信号生成部259が動作する。
図2および図4に例示したように、たとえば、全体制御部264の制御の下で、最大電力検出モードにおける動作と、追従動作モードにおける動作とが交互に行われる。
最大電力検出モードの開始および終了の判断、最大電力検出モードと追従動作モードとの切り換え判断は、全体制御部264によって行うことができる。
以下、最大電力検出モードにおける動作および追従動作モードにおける動作の詳細を述べる。
以下、図2の期間T1~T2の期間における、制御装置25による最大電力検出モードの制御動作を述べる。
追従動作モードから最大電力検出モードに切り換わった最大電力検出モードの開始時点t0において、全体制御部264がSW部263の第1入力端子aを選択し、制御演算部262からの第1の基準電圧信号Vref 1を比較部258に印加させる。
基準信号は、時点t0~t1の間「0」である基準電流と、時点t1~t3の間開放電圧VOCから一定の傾きで「0」に低下する基準電圧とからなる。
基準電流は、MOSFET242が、PV11の出力端子TO1,TO2を開放状態にするように、動作させるための基準電流である。
基準電圧は、PV11の出力端子TO1,TO2間の開放電圧VOCが検出されたとき、図2(D)に図解のごとく、その開放電圧VVCから出力端子TO1,TO2間が短絡状態となったときの電圧(VPV=0)までPV11の出力電圧VPVが減少するように変化させる信号であり、-(VOC/tD )の傾きで低下する。
また、加算部261は、期間t1~t3において、VREF 発生部260から印加される基準電圧信号Vref 0と、ADC251から出力される出力電圧VPVとの差(VPV-Vref 0)を演算する。
制御演算部262は、SW部265を介して入力される(Iref 0-IPV)または(VPV-Vref 0)について、比例(P)演算、好ましくは、さらに積分(I)演算を行い、その演算結果を第1の基準電圧信号Vref 1として、SW部263の第1入力出力端子aを経由して比較部258に印加する。
時点t0~t1の間は、基準電流信号Iref 0の値は「0」であるから、加算部267の出力信号は、「負」となり、制御演算部262の出力信号、すなわち、基準電圧信号Vref 1は減少する。
基準電圧信号Vref 1が低い場合、PWM信号生成部259は、図2(C)に図解のごとく、MOSFET242を、第1の論理状態、たとえば、「開」状態にするPWM信号を出力する。その結果、PV11の出力端子TO1,TO2間は開放状態になり、出力電圧VPVは、図2(D)に図解のごとく、上昇し、他方、出力電流IPVおよび出力電力PPVは、図2(D)、(E)に図解のごとく減少する。
VREF 発生部260は、開放電圧VOCを保持する。
期間t1~期間t3の間、加算部261は、VREF 発生部260から出力される一定の傾きで低下する基準電圧信号Vref 0と、そのときのADC251から出力される出力電圧VPVとの差を演算する。
制御演算部262が差電圧に応じた制御演算を行い、その結果を第2基準電圧信号Vref 1としてSW部263を介して比較部258に印加する。
比較部258およびPWM信号生成部259において、電圧差(VPV-Vref 0)に応じて、図2(C)の時点t1以降に図解される、PWM信号が生成されて、MOSFET242をPWM方式で制御する。
その結果、出力電圧VPVは基準電圧信号Vref 0に応じて低下していく。
全体制御部264は、たとえば、時点t3において、出力電圧VPVが「0」まで低下し(または、出力電力PPVが「0」となり)、出力端子TO1,TO2間が短絡状態となったことを検出したとき、最大電力検出モードから追従動作モードの動作に切り換える。
全体制御部264は、時点t3において、期間T1~T2の最大電力検出モードが終了し、追従動作モードの開始としてSW部263を第2入力端子b側に切り換える。
これにより、第1加算部254において、保持回路253aから印加される最適な出力電圧Vopと、ADC251から印加される電圧VPVとの差電圧が算出され、その算出結果に基づいて制御演算部255において演算制御して得られた第2の基準電圧信号Vref 2が、SW部263を経由して、比較部258に印加される。
比較部258およびPWM信号生成部259による、PWM制御信号S259の生成方法は上述したとおりである。
全体制御部264による最大電力検出モードと追従動作モードの切り換えは、たとえば、所定周期、たとえば、1秒毎、自動的に切り換えることができる。あるいは、全体制御部264は、追従動作モードにおいてPV11の電圧Vpvの変化または乗算部252で算出した電力を監視して、電圧Vpvまたは電力の変化が大きいとき、追従動作モードから最大電力検出モードに切り換える。
また、第1実施の形態の制御装置25はそれらの種々の形式の電力変換手段を用いた場合でも上記同様の制御処理を行うことができる。
乗算部252を、ハードウエア回路、たとえば、アナログ演算回路で構成した場合、ADC251は不要であり、電圧計12で検出したアナログ電圧Vpvと電流計13で検出したアナログ電流IPVとをアナログ回路の乗算部252において直接乗算して電力PPVを算出することができる。この場合、乗算部252の出力側に、A/D変換部(ADC)を設けてデジタル電力PPVを最大電力検出部253に出力する。
PV11の出力端子TO1,TO2間に直流電力計を設けて、直接、PV11の電力を測定することもできる。その場合、電圧と電流を乗算して電力を算出する乗算部252と電流計13は不要である。
この場合、ADC251は、上述した場合と同様、電圧計12で測定した電圧を加算部254および加算部261に出力する。他方、ADC251は直流電力計で測定した電力をデジタル数値に変換して最大電力検出部253に印加する。
図5に図解した第2実施の形態は、PV11として、異なる2種類のパネルを使用した場合(混成の場合)の1例を示している。
最大電力検出モードに、たとえば、1msの短時間の判定時間に2つのピーク電力が存在する。最初のピーク電力は小さく、次のピーク電力が最大電力Pmax である。
次いで、制御装置25は、基準電圧信号Vref 0として、開放電圧V0Cから一定の傾きで低下させてPV11の出力電圧Vpvを徐々に下降させていく。この過程(期間)において、出力電力を連続的に監視し、複数のピークの電力を検出したとき、最大ピークを示す最大電力Pmax を検出し、この最大電力Pmax に対応する最適動作電圧Vopを検出する(図4、ステップ13)。
そして、追従動作モードにおいて、最適動作電圧Vopに追従した制御動作を行う(図4、ステップ21)。
上述したPV11が異なる2種類のパネルを使用した場合、いわゆる、混成の場合について、上述した第2実施の形態の方法によって、最大電力Pmax に対応する最適動作電圧Vopを検出し、検出した最適動作電圧Vopを用いて、従来の山登り法の動作点を補正する事も可能である。
図6は、破線で示した影がない状態と、太い破線で示した部分影を付加したときの太陽電池のI-V,P-V特性を示す図である。
この実施の形態(実験例)では、1つの太陽電池モジュールのセル1枚に影を付加して、出力のピークが2つ生じ、部分影を付加したときの最大電力点が低電圧側(動作点A)にあることが分かる。影がない場合の動作点をBで示した。
図7(A)に図解した山登り法による結果は、部分影を付加した時のP-V特性のうち、図6に図解した高電圧側の平坦な動作点B(約6W)付近で不安定に追従動作をしたことを示している。
これに対して、図7(B)に図解した本実施の形態の「IV瞬時スキャン法」による結果は、図6に図解した低電圧側にある最大出力動作点A(約17W)で確実に追従動作しており、出力が約2.8倍になっている。
PV11に部分的な影が付加された場合について、上述した第3実施の形態の方法によって、最適動作電圧Vopを検出し、検出した最適動作電圧Vopを用いて、従来の山登り法の動作点を補正する事も可能である。
第1~第3実施の形態の太陽光発電システムについて、特許文献2に記載した発明と同様の実験を行った結果を述べる。
横軸が時間を、左側縦軸が太陽電池の出力電力を表し、右側縦軸が日射強度を表している。
記号Aで示す曲線が日射強度を、記号Bで示す曲線が本制御方式の特性を、記号Cで示す曲線が従来方式の特性をそれぞれ示している。
本発明に基づく実施の形態の制御方式は従来例の方式に比較して、負荷変動による影響を受けることなく、日射強度に比例した電力を安定に取り出すことができる。
太陽電池パネル(PV)の技術的課題は、太陽光照度の急変に対する追従性および照度の絶対値が減少していくとき(日暮れ等)、どこまで太陽光を捕捉して電力を供給できるかという点である。
図9を参照して、日暮れ等日射強度が急変する場合の応答特性について考察する。
図9は、本発明の実施の形態の制御方式による日射強度急変時の応答特性の一例を示す図である。横軸が時間を、左側縦軸が太陽電池セルの出力電力を表し、右側縦軸が日射強度を表している。
図10は、図9の図解した結果との比較のための図であり、山登り法による日照強度が急激に変化したときの応答特性の例を示す図である。
図12は図11に図解した例との比較のための図であり、太陽電池パネル(PV)に影が生じない場合(図12(A))と生じた場合(図12(B))の本実施の形態の制御の追従特性を示す図である。なお、図12(B)における、最大電力Pmax ’に向かう両側の矢印は、最大電力Pmax ’に接近させていく状態を図解している。
横軸は時刻を、左側縦軸は電力取得の効率を表す太陽電池セルの出力利用率UUFを、右側縦軸がパネル面日射強度Gをそれぞれ表している。
なお、太陽電池セルの出力利用率UUFは、最大電力点検出周期をTとすると、次式で与えられる。
照度急変に対する追従性は、図9に示すように本発明の実施の形態の制御方式ではただ一度のスキャン(検出)によって変化後の最大電力点を検出することが可能である。
本発明の実施の形態の制御方式では、日射強度Gがピーク時800W/m2 のとき100/m2 まで照度が低下しても出力利用率UUFが90%を維持している。
横軸が時刻を、左側縦軸が太陽電池の出力電力PPVおよび太陽電池出力利用率UUFを、右側縦軸がパネル面の日射強度Gをそれぞれ表している。
また、本発明の実施の形態の制御方式では、日射強度Gが50W/m2 以下では、太陽電池出力利用率UUFは低下するが60%程度エネルギーを回収することができる。
図15は本発明の第4実施の形態としての太陽光発電システム100Aを示す。
太陽光発電システム100Aは独立型の太陽光発電システムである。
図1に図解したシステム構成と比較すると、図15に図解した太陽光発電システム100Aにはバッテリィ28が設けられている。
電力変換回路24および制御装置25との動作は、第1実施の形態として述べた動作と同じである。
図15に図解した太陽光発電システム100Aによっても第1実施の形態と同様の結果を得た。したがって、その詳細説明を割愛する。
図1を参照して上述した第1~第4実施の形態における電力変換回路としてのDC-DCコンバータは、昇圧型DC-DCコンバータを例に説明した。昇圧型DC-DCコンバータを用いると、太陽電池パネル(PV)11の電圧より高い負荷電圧を得ることができる。
他方、負荷電圧を太陽電池電圧より下げたい場合には、図16に示すような、電力変換回路24Aとして降圧型DC-DCコンバータを用いた回路構成が適している。
電力変換手段として降圧型DC-DCコンバータを用いた場合の太陽光発電システム100Bの動作が昇圧型DC-DCコンバータを用いた場合と異なる点は、制御装置25において生成するPWM信号のオン、オフが逆となることである。
負荷16の電圧を太陽電池パネル(PV)11の出力電圧により下げたり上げたりしたい場合には、DC-DCコンバータとして、図17に示す昇降圧型DC-DCコンバータを用いた電力変換回路24Bの回路構成が適している。
DC-DCコンバータ内のSW素子として、MOSFET242を例示したが、太陽電池パネル(PV)11の端子間に印加される電圧に対して耐圧を有し、PV11の端子間に流れる電流に対して十分な電流容量があり、PWM制御動作に追従可能なSW素子ならば、MOSFET242に限らず、各種のパワーSW素子を用いることができる。
図18、図19を参照して本発明の太陽光発電システムの第5実施の形態を述べる。
図18に図解した太陽光発電システム100Dは、電力変換手段として、図1、図15に図解したDC-DCコンバータ24に代えてインバータ32を用いている。インバータ32は入力された直流電力を交流電力に変換して負荷16に供給する。
好ましくは、太陽光発電システム100Dにはフィルタ回路33が設けられる。
図解した単相インバータは、直列接続された2個のパワートランジスタ321、322の第1回路と、直列接続された2個のパワートランジスタ323、324の第2回路とを有する。
これらのパワートランジスタ321、322、323、324と並列に無効電力バイパス用のダイオードがそれぞれ接続されている。
そこで、好ましくは、インバータ32の後段に、インダクタ331とキャパシタ332とで構成される平滑フィルタ33を設けて、矩形の交流電圧を平滑化して交流電圧を負荷16に供給する。インバータ32内に平滑フィルタ33を組み込んでもよい。
制御装置25Dは、基本的には、図1を参照して述べた制御装置25と同様に動作する。以下、簡単に動作を述べる。
図20を参照して本発明の太陽光発電システムの第6実施の形態を述べる。
第6実施の形態の太陽光発電システム100Eは系統連系型の太陽光発電システムである。負荷16には系統電源35が接続されている。
第6実施の形態の電力変換手段は、DC-DCコンバータ30とインバータ32とで構成されている。インバータ32の後段にフィルタ回路33を付加するか、インバータ32内にフィルタ回路33に相当するフィルタ回路を組み込むこともできる。
第6実施の形態においては、DC-DCコンバータ30の出力電圧を測定する電圧計31が設けられている。
第6実施の形態の制御装置は、インバータ32を制御する第1制御装置25Eと、DC-DCコンバータ30を制御する第2制御装置29とで構成されている。
第6実施の形態においては、DC-DCコンバータ30は上述した実施の形態のような最大電力検出モードおよび追従動作モードにおける上述した実施の形態の動作はせず、インバータ32が最大電力検出モードおよび追従動作モードで動作する。
加算回路291には、インバータ32の入力側の電圧を規定する基準電圧信号VREF、たとえば、180Vが入力されており、電圧計31によるDC-DCコンバータ30の出力電圧を測定した電圧との差の電圧を算出する。
PI演算回路292は、加算回路291で算出した差電圧について、比例演算および積分演算する。PI演算回路292は、図1に図解した制御演算部255と同様の回路構成とすることができる。
PWM信号生成回路293は、PI演算結果に基づいてDC-DCコンバータ30内のスイッチング素子、たとえば、図1に図解したDC-DCコンバータ24内のMOSFET242に対応するスイッチング素子をPWM制御する信号を生成してスイッチング素子のゲートに印加する。
PWM信号生成回路293は、たとえば、図1に図解した搬送波発生部256、搬送波発生部256およびPWM信号生成部259と同様の回路構成とすることができる。
このように、第6実施の形態においては、DC-DCコンバータ30は最大電力検出モードおよび追従動作モードにおける上述した実施の形態の動作はせず、インバータ32が最大電力検出モードおよび追従動作モードで動作する。
最大電力検出モードにおいては、インバータ32内のパワートランジスタ321、322、323、324を第1の論理状態に動作させて開放電圧を検出し(図4、ステップ12)、開放状態から短絡状態にして最大電力Pmax を検出し(図4、ステップ13)、そのときの電圧VPVを最適電圧Vopとして、保持回路253aに保持させる。
次いで、追従動作モードにおいて(図4、ステップ21)、PWM信号生成部259dから最適電圧Vopに応じてインバータ32内のパワートランジスタ321、322、323、324のゲートにPWM制御信号を出力する。
第7実施の形態について述べる。
上述した実施の形態では、制御装置25は上述した動作をした。すなわち、最大電力検出モードにおいて、開放電圧を測定し、VREF 発生部260において開放電圧から所定の傾きで変化する基準電圧信号Vref 0を発生して、短絡状態において太陽電池パネル(PV)11の電力PPVを監視して最大電力Pmax を検出する。そして、それに対応するPV11の出力電圧VPVを最適出力電圧Vopとして、追従動作モードにおいて最適出力電圧Vopに追従するように電力変換手段をPWM制御する。
第7実施の形態では、上記処理に代えて、最大電力検出モードにおいて、PV11の短絡電流iSCを検出し、IREF 発生部266において下記式で規定される基準信号Iref 0を生成する。
ただし、tD は、図2におけるt1~t3の時間である。
ここで、期間t0~t1が第1の論理状態として「閉」動作であり、
期間t1~t3が第2の論理状態として「開」動作となる。
図22を参照して第8実施の形態を述べる。
図22に図解した太陽光発電システム100Fは、図20に図解したと同様の系統連系型の太陽光発電システムであり、負荷16には系統電源35が接続されている。
第8実施の形態は、第6実施の形態と同様、全体制御部264の判断のもとで、DC-DCコンバータ30は出力電圧を一定に制御し、インバータ32で負荷を調整する。ただし、その方法が第6実施の形態とは異なる。
(1)第8実施の形態の制御装置も、インバータ32を制御する制御装置25Fと、DC-DCコンバータ30を制御する第2制御装置29Fとで構成されている。図22において、図20に図解した、基準電圧発生部261と基準電流発生回路266、加算部261、266、さらに、SW部265、267を、一体的に簡略して図解している。図22において、PI演算回路255の出力を保持する保持回路259を設け、今回のサイクルのPI演算結果と、保持回路259に保持した前回のサイクルのPI演算結果を、スイッチイング部263で選択可能にしている。
追従制御モードにおいて、全体制御部264がSW部273およびSW294の第2接点bを選択する。その結果、電圧計31と基準電圧Vref との差を比例・積分演算するPI演算部292の出力信号に基づいてPWM信号発生部293がDC-DCコンバータ30を制御して、DC-DCコンバータ30を基準電圧Vref を出力するように制御する。
これに対して、特許文献2に記載された発明では、インダクタの短絡を前提としており、インダクタの容量が小さいと最大電力検出時間が短くなるという制約がある。

Claims (15)
- 入射光に応じた電力を発生する光発電ユニットと、
前記光発電ユニットの出力電圧を検出する電圧検出手段と、
前記光発電ユニットの出力電流を検出する電流検出手段、または、前記光発電ユニットの出力電力を検出する電力検出手段と、
スイッチング素子を含み当該スイッチング素子のオン・オフ動作に応じて前記光発電ユニットの出力電圧を変換して電圧の電力を出力する電力変換手段と、
最大電力検出モードの制御動作と追従動作モードの制御動作とを交互に行い、両者のモードにおいて前記スイッチング素子を制御して前記電力変換手段の変換動作を制御する制御手段と、
を有し、
前記制御手段は、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、
前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にし、
当該開放状態から、前記スイッチング素子を第2の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする過程において、前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力が最大となる点を検出し、当該最大電力を検出したときの前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧を最適出力電圧として検出し、
前記追従動作モードにおいて、
前記最適出力電圧を基準電圧として、当該基準電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差が「0」またはほぼ「0」となるように前記スイッチング素子を動作させる、
光発電システム。 - 前記電力変換手段は、前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開閉するように設けられた前記スイッチング素子を含むDC-DCコンバータを含む、

前記DC-DCコンバータを制御する第1制御手段と、
前記インバータを制御する第2制御手段と

請求項1に記載の光発電システム。 - 前記最大電力検出モードにおいて検出した最適出力電圧を用いて、山登り法の動作点を補正する、
請求項1~4のいずれかに記載の光発電システム。 - 入射光に応じた電力を発生する光発電ユニットと、前記光発電ユニットの端子電圧を検出する電圧検出手段と、前記光発電ユニットの出力電流を検出する電流検出手段、または、前記光発電ユニットの出力電力を検出する電力検出手段と、スイッチング素子を含み当該スイッチング素子のオン・オフ動作に応じて前記光発電ユニットの出力電圧を変換して電圧の電力を出力する電力変換手段とを有する光発電制御システムに適用する制御装置であって、
当該制御装置は、最大電力検出モードの制御動作と追従動作モードの制御動作とを交互に行い、両者のモードにおいて前記スイッチング素子を制御して前記電力変換手段の変換動作を制御する、制御装置であり、
当該制御装置は、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、
前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にし、
当該開放状態から、前記スイッチング素子を第2の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする過程において、前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力が最大となる点を検出し、当該最大電力を検出したときの前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧を最適出力電圧として検出し、
前記追従動作モードにおいて、
前記最適出力電圧を基準電圧として、当該基準電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差が「0」またはほぼ「0」となるように前記スイッチング素子を動作させる、
制御装置。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて動作し、前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力を監視し、最大の電力を検出し、当該検出した最大の電力に対応する最適電圧を検出する最大電力検出手段と、
前記検出された最適電圧を保持する保持手段と、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて動作し、当該最大電力検出モードの開始時点から前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にする期間、前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させる第1の基準信号、および、前記開放状態から前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする期間、前記開放状態の時の前記光発電ユニットの出力端子から所定の比率で低下する第2の基準信号を生成する基準信号生成手段と、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、前記基準信号生成手段から出力される前記第1および第2の基準信号と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差に応じて制御信号を生成する第1制御演算手段と、
前記追従動作モードにおいて、前記保持手段に保持された前記最適電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差に応じた制御信号を生成する第2制御演算手段と、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて前記第1制御演算手段の出力信号を選択して出力し、前記追従動作モードにおいて前記第2制御演算手段の出力信号を選択して出力する、信号選択手段と、
前記選択信号手段の出力信号に応じて前記電力変換手段の前記スイッチング素子を駆動制御する制御信号を生成する制御信号生成手段と、
前記最大電力検出モードと前記追従動作モードとの切り替えを行うモード制御手段と、
を有する、
請求項6に記載の制御装置。 - 前記電力変換手段は、前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開閉するように設けられた前記スイッチング素子を含むDC-DCコンバータを含み、
当該制御装置は、前記DC-DCコンバータ内の前記スイッチング素子を駆動制御する、
請求項7に記載の制御装置。 - 前記電力変換手段は、
前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間の電圧を一定に維持するように制御されるDC-DCコンバータと、
当該DC-DCコンバータの後段に設けられた、負荷に応じて制御される前記スイッチング素子を含むインバータと

前記制御手段は、
前記DC-DCコンバータを制御する第1制御処理と、
前記インバータを制御する第2制御処理と
を行なう、
請求項8に記載の制御装置。 - 前記制御信号生成手段は、前記選択信号手段の出力信号に応じて前記電力変換手段の前記スイッチング素子をPWM駆動制御する制御信号を生成する、
請求項6~9のいずれかに記載の制御装置。 - 前記最大電力検出モードにおいて検出した最適出力電圧を用いて山登り法の動作点を補正する、
請求項6~10のいずれかに記載の制御装置。 - 入射光に応じた電力を発生する光発電ユニットと、前記光発電ユニットの端子電圧を検出する電圧検出手段と、前記光発電ユニットの出力電流を検出する電流検出手段または前記光発電ユニットの出力電力を検出する電力検出手段と、スイッチング素子を含み当該スイッチング素子のオン・オフ動作に応じて前記光発電ユニットの出力電圧を変換して電圧の電力を出力する電力変換手段とを有する、光発電制御システムに適用する制御方法であって、
当該制御方法は、最大電力検出モードの制御動作と追従動作モードの制御動作とを交互に行い、両者のモードにおいて前記スイッチング素子を制御して前記電力変換手段の変換動作を制御する、制御方法であり、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、
前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にし、
当該開放状態から、前記スイッチング素子を第2の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする過程において、前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力が最大となる点を検出し、当該最大電力を検出したときの前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧を最適な出力電圧として検出し、
前記最大電力検出モードから前記追従動作モードに切り替え、
前記追従動作モードにおいて、
前記最適な出力電圧を基準電圧として、当該基準電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差が「0」またはほぼ「0」となるように前記スイッチング素子を動作させる、

当該プログラムは、最大電力検出モードの制御動作と追従動作モードの制御動作とを交互に行い、両者のモードにおいて前記スイッチング素子を制御して前記電力変換手段の変換動作を制御する、ルーチンを有するプログラムであり、
前記最大電力検出モードにおいて、前記電力変換手段内の前記スイッチング素子を第1の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を開放状態にする、第1ルーチンと、
当該開放状態から、前記スイッチング素子を第2の論理状態に動作させて前記光発電ユニットの出力端子間を短絡状態にする過程において、前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧と前記電流検出手段で検出した電流との積である電力または前記電力検出手段で検出した電力が最大となる点を検出し、当該最大電力を検出したときの前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧を最適な出力電圧として検出する、第2ルーチンと、
前記最大電力検出モードから前記追従動作モードに切り換える第3ルーチンと、
前記追従動作モードにおいて、前記最適な出力電圧を基準電圧として、当該基準電圧と前記電圧検出手段で検出した電圧との差が「0」またはほぼ「0」となるように前記スイッチング素子を動作させる、第4のルーチンと
をコンピュータに実行させる、プログラム。 - 請求項1~14のいずれかにおいて、前記光発電ユニットは、入射光に応じた電力を発生する太陽光発電ユニットを含む。
