Abstract

본 발명에 의한 개선된 리드 구조의 이차전지는 양극탭이 구비된 양극판, 음극탭이 구비된 음극판 및 분리막이 교호적층되는 전극조립체; 상기 전극조립체를 수용하는 전지케이스; 상기 양극탭과 전기적으로 연결되는 양극리드; 및 상기 음극탭과 전기적으로 연결되는 음극리드를 포함하며, 상기 양극탭 또는 음극탭 중 하나 이상의 전극탭은 전기적으로 연결되는 전극리드와 복수 개의 연결부위를 가지며, 상기 전극리드는 상기 전극탭과의 연결부위 개수보다 작은 개수로 구비되는 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 본 발명에 의하면 전극 탭과 전극 리드의 충분한 접합 영역을 확보할 수 고용량 환경에 더욱 적합한 환경을 제공할 수 있음은 물론, 이차전지의 저항 내지 전류 불균형, 부분적 발열 등을 효과적으로 방지할 수 있어 더욱 효율적으로 이차전지를 구현할 수 있다.
