を提供するものである(なお、以下、適宜、表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)を「顔料(I)」、一級アミノ基および二級アミノ基から選ばれるアミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)を「塩基性化合物(II)」、末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)を「水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)」とそれぞれ称するものとする)。
また、本発明によれば、上記ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の製造方法、顔料分散組成物およびインクジェットインク組成物を提供することができる。
本発明のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料は、表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)と、一級アミノ基および二級アミノ基から選ばれるアミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)とを水性媒体中で接触させて、表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料を作製した後、さらに、末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)およびポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)とを接触させることにより、前記表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料と末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)とを尿素結合させてなることを特徴とするものである。
液相法により酸化処理する場合は、酸化剤として、過酸化水素水、硝酸、硫酸、塩素酸塩、過硫酸塩、過炭酸塩など種々の酸化剤を用いることができ、例えば、上記酸化剤を含む水溶液中に、カーボンブラック等の顔料を投入し、攪拌処理することにより、表面に酸性基を有する顔料を得ることができ、酸化剤の投入量および反応温度を制御することで、カーボンブラック表面に酸性基を均一に導入することができる。
部分中和処理を施す場合、予め、酸化処理により生じた還元塩(酸化剤の還元化物)を除去することが好ましく、還元塩を除去することによって、以下の中和反応が効率的に進行して水分散性が向上し、表面酸化顔料の再凝集を抑制することができる。還元塩の除去は、限外濾過膜(UF)、逆浸透膜(RO)、電気透析膜などの分離膜を用いて行うことが好ましい。
スラリーの中和処理を行った場合は、中和処理により生じた塩類(中和剤の酸化物)を除去することが好ましく、上記塩類を除去することにより、顔料の水分散性を向上させ、表面酸化顔料の再擬集を抑制することができる。上記塩は、限外濾過膜(UF)、逆浸透膜(RO)、電気透析膜などの分離膜により除去することが好ましい。
上記反応により、表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)と塩基性化合物(II)とを水性媒体中で接触させ、イオン的な作用力によって、塩基性化合物(II)が顔料(I)の表面近傍に存在する状態とすることができる。
末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)としては、該末端イソシアネート基が、上記顔料表面に存在するアミノ基と尿素結合し得るものであれば特に制限されない。

水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)は、分子鎖中に陰イオンまたはノニオン性水分散性基を有するものであることが好ましく、陰イオンを有する場合には水に分散する前に予め対イオンで中和することが好ましい。
上述したように、末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)あるいはポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)のイソシアネート基は、上記表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料と反応する際に、水とアミノ基との競争反応を生じるが、反応温度を40℃以下にすることで反応速度差を生じ、アミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)と末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)の反応を優先させることができる。
末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)との混合質量比は、水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)100質量部に対し、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)が1~50質量部であることが好ましく、2~30質量部であることがより好ましく、3~20質量部であることがさらに好ましい。
ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の混合比が高くなると、後述する顔料表面のポリマーの架橋度が高くなり耐擦過性や耐水性を高めることができるが、再溶解性は低下し易くなる。従って、上記混合比は、耐擦過性や耐水性と再溶解性などとの適度なバランスを考慮して決定することが望ましい。
上記反応終了後、適宜50℃程度に加温しつつ減圧蒸留することにより、反応に供した原料に混入した有機溶媒を除去することができる。
特に、本発明のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料は、顔料(I)表面の酸性基濃度が低い場合であっても、顔料(I)に対して末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)を尿素結合により付加してなるものであることにより優れた分散性や分散安定性を発揮することができる。
本発明のポリウレタン付加顔料の製造方法は、ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を製造する方法であって、表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)と、一級アミノ基および二級アミノ基から選ばれるアミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)とを水性媒体中で接触させて、表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料を作製した後、さらに、末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)およびポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)とを接触させることにより、前記表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料と末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)とを尿素結合させることを特徴とするものである。
本発明の製造方法の詳細は、上記本発明のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の説明で説明した内容と同様である。
本発明の顔料分散組成物は、本発明のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料または本発明の方法で得られたポリウレタン付加顔料を含むことを特徴とするものである。
本発明の顔料分散組成物は、ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料とともに、適宜公知任意の、水性分散樹脂、保湿剤、防腐剤、乳化剤、pH調整剤、消泡剤、塗膜表面平滑剤等の添加剤、水に分散したワックス、樹脂エマルションなどを含んでもよい。
また、本発明の顔料分散組成物は、固形分換算で、顔料(I)100質量部に対して、水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)と任意に添加する水性分散樹脂との総量が2~200質量部となるように調製されていることが好ましく、3~150質量部となるように調製されていることがより好ましく、5~100質量部となるように調製されていることがさらに好ましい。
本発明のインクジェットインキ組成物は、本発明のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料または本発明の方法で得られたポリウレタン付加顔料を含むことを特徴とする。
本発明のインクジェットインキ組成物は、その用途がインクジェットインキ用途に限定されることを除けば本発明の顔料分散組成物と同様であり、その詳細については上述した内容と同様である。
本発明のインクジェットインキ組成物によれば、優れた画像濃度、分散性、保存安定性、再溶解性、インク塗膜の耐マーカー性および耐擦過性を発揮することができる。
窒素吸着比表面積が170m2/g、DBP吸収量が115cm3/100gであるカーボンブラックaを100gと、該カーボンブラック単位表面積当たり0.10mmol/m2反応するように下記式1により秤量したペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウム(Na2S2O8)を純水に溶解し3dm3とした水溶液とを、反応容器中に添加し、反応温度60℃ 、反応時間10時間、攪拌速度0.12s-1で酸化処理した。
次いで、上記酸化処理したカーボンブラックを濾別し、純水中に分散させて水酸化ナトリウム水溶液で中和した。中和後、カーボンブラックのスラリーを遠心分離器(日立工機製CR22F)で回転数7.5×10-3s-1にて15分間処理した。その後、得られた上澄み液から、限外濾過膜(旭化成(株)製、AHP-1010、分画分子量50000〕により残存する塩を分離精製し、さらにカーボンブラック分散濃度が20質量%となるように水分を除去して、低酸化カーボンブラックAの水分散体を得た。
例えば、100gのカーボンブラックaを処理するために必要なペルオキソ二硫酸ナトリウムの質量は、0.10(mmol/m2)×170(m2/g)×100(g)×238.1(g/mol)=404770(mg)=404.77(g)となる。
撹拌棒、窒素ガス吹き込み管、玉入れ冷却管付きのフラスコに、メチルエチルケトン(MEK)200質量部、ジメチロールプロピオン酸76.5質量部 [2.8モル比]、イソホロンジイソシアネート(住化バイエルウレタン社製ディスモジュールI)240質量部[5.3モル比]加え、65℃にて6時間反応した。
上記76.5質量部のジメチロールプロピオン酸および240質量部のイソホロンジイソシアネートとの反応物に対し、更にひまし油変性ジオールHS-2G-150(豊国製油社製/数平均分子量765.3)78質量部 [0.5モル比]、クラレポリエステルジオールP-1050(数平均分子量994、(株)クラレ製)を101.3質量部 [0.5モル比]、ポリエチレンエーテルグリコール#1000(日本油脂社製、数平均分子量1020)104質量部[0.5モル比]、MEK200質量部を加えて65℃にて3時間反応させた。このときの反応溶液のイソシアネート基の質量%は1.71質量%、固形分酸価は53.4mgKOH/gであった。
上記76.5質量部のジメチロールプロピオン酸および240質量部のイソホロンジイソシアネートとの反応物に対し、78質量部のひまし油変性ジオール等を反応させた反応物を、35℃まで冷却した後、さらにN-メチルモロホリンを46質量部加えて30分間攪拌することにより、不揮発分60.2質量%、ガードナー気泡粘度:T-U、GPC数平均分子量3400、質量平均分子量7800、NCO基のモル数に対するOH基のモル数の比(OH基のモル数/NCO基のモル数)が4.3/5.3である末端イソシアネート基を有する水性ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂1)を得た。
撹拌棒、窒素ガス吹き込み管、玉入れ冷却管付きのフラスコにメチルエチルケトン200質量部、ジメチロールプロピオン酸68質量部 [3モル比]、水添MDI(住化バイエルウレタン製ディスモジュールW)を243.6質量部[2.5モル比]加え、60℃にて6時間反応した。
上記68質量部のジメチロールプロピオン酸および243.6質量部の水添MDIとの反応物に対し、更にひまし油変性ジオールHS-2G-150(豊国製油社製 数平均分子量765.3)64.7質量部 [0.5モル比]、クラレポリエステルジオールP-2050(数平均分子量2066、株式会社クラレ製)174.6質量部 [0.5モル比]、ポリエチレンエーテルグリコール#600(日本油脂社製/数平均分子量941)49.1質量部[0.3モル比]を添加して、65℃にて3時間反応させた。このときの反応溶液のイソシアネート基の質量%は1.42質量%、固形分酸価は47.4mgKOH/gであった。
上記68質量部のジメチロールプロピオン酸および243.6質量部の水添MDIとの反応物に対し、64.7質量部のひまし油変性ジオール等を反応させた反応物を、35℃まで冷却した後、さらにN-メチルモロホリンを42質量部加えて30分間攪拌することにより、不揮発分58.8質量%、ガードナー気泡粘度:Z4-Z5、GPC数平均分子量3500、質量平均分子量8050、NCO基のモル数に対するOH基のモル数の比(OH基のモル数/NCO基のモル数)が4.5/5.5である末端イソシアネート基を有する水性ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2)を得た。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料1の作製
顔料(I)として、表面に酸性基を有するカーボンブラック顔料であるAquaBlack(登録商標)162(東海カーボン社製、固形分濃度19.2質量%)1042質量部、塩基性化合物(II)としてピペラジン・6H2O (Mw=194)の10質量%水溶液82.7質量部を添加し、常温で30分攪拌した。
上記1042質量部のAquaBlack(登録商標)162と82.7質量部のピペラジン・6H2Oとを攪拌した攪拌物に対し、さらにポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)として、上記水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂1(固形分60.2質量%)を119.6質量部、イソシアネート化合物(IV)として旭化成ケミカルズ社製デュラネートTSS-100(NCO基含有割合19.2質量%)8質量部、N-メチルモロホリン11質量部を予め混合した後冷却しながら添加し、常温で1時間攪拌した後40℃に昇温し、更に40℃で1時間撹拌後、50℃にて減圧蒸留して反応溶媒のMEKを溜去することにより、不揮発分28質量%のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料1を得た。
得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料1において、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量に対する顔料(I)の質量比(顔料(I)の質量/(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量))は、固形分換算で100/40、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)に対するポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)の質量比(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)/ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV))は、固形分換算で90/10であった。
表1に示すように、(1)で得たポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料100質量部に対して、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水132.8質量部を表1に示す組成となるように添加し攪拌して顔料分散組成物1を作製した。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料2の作製
顔料(I)として、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)1042質量部に対し、塩基性化合物(II)としてピペラジン・6H2O (Mw=194)の10質量%水溶液を39.1質量部添加し、常温で30分攪拌した。
上記1042質量部の低酸化カーボンブラックAの水分散体と39.1質量部のピペラジン・6H2Oとを撹拌した攪拌物に対し、さらに、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)として、上記水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2(固形分58.8質量%)を76.5質量部、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)として、旭化成ケミカルズ社製デュラネートTSE-100(NCO基含有割合12.1質量%)を5質量部、N-メチルモロホリン6.5質量部を予め混合した後冷却しながら添加し、常温で1時間攪拌した後40℃に昇温し、更に40℃で1時間撹拌後、50℃にて減圧蒸留して反応溶媒のMEKを溜去することにより、不揮発分25質量%のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料2を得た。
得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料2において、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量に対する顔料(I)の質量比(顔料(I)の質量/(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量))は、固形分換算で100/25、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)に対するポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)の質量比(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)/ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV))は、固形分換算で90/10であった。
表1に示すように、(1)で得たポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料2を100質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水132.8質量部を添加し攪拌して顔料分散組成物2を作製した。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料3の作製
顔料(I)として、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)1042質量部に対し、塩基性化合物(II)としてピペラジン・6H2O(Mw=194)の10質量%水溶液を67.6質量部添加し、常温で30分攪拌した。
上記1042質量部の低酸化カーボンブラックAの水分散体と67.6質量部のピペラジン・6H2Oとを撹拌した攪拌物に対し、さらに、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)として、上記水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂1(固形分60.2質量%)を126.2質量部、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)として、旭化成ケミカルズ社製デュラネートTSS-100(NCO基含有割合19.2質量%)を4質量部、N-メチルモロホリン10.9質量部を予め混合した後冷却しながら添加し、常温で1時間攪拌した後40℃に昇温し、更に40℃で1時間撹拌後、50℃にて減圧蒸留して反応溶媒のMEKを溜去することにより、不揮発分28質量%のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料3を得た。
得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料3において、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量に対する顔料(I)の質量比(顔料(I)の質量/(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量))は、固形分換算で100/40、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)に対するポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)の質量比(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)/ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV))は、固形分換算で95/5であった。
表1に示すように、(1)で得たポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料3を100質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水132.8質量部を添加し攪拌して顔料分散組成物3を作製した。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料4の作製
ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)として、上記水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2(固形分58.8質量%)を91.8質量部、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)として、旭化成ケミカルズ社製デュラネートTSE-100(NCO基含有割合12.1質量%)を6質量部、ジメチルエタノールアミン9.2質量部を予め混合して得られた混合液を、反応容器中で冷却しながら攪拌混合した。
上記91.8質量部の水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2と6質量部のデュラネートTSE-100と9.2質量部のジメチルエタノールアミンとを混合した混合液を含む反応容器に、さらに、顔料(I)として、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)1042質量部に対し、塩基性化合物(II)としてピペラジン・6H2O(Mw=194)の10質量%水溶液56.4質量部を予め冷却しながら30分間攪拌混合して得た混合液を上記冷却を継続しながら添加した。
その後、冷却をやめた状態で1時間攪拌した後40℃に昇温し、更に40℃で1時間撹拌後、50℃にて減圧蒸留して反応溶媒のMEKを溜去することにより、不揮発分26質量%のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料4を得た。
得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料4において、ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量に対する顔料(I)の質量比(顔料(I)の質量/(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量))は、固形分換算で100/30、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)に対するポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)の質量比(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)/ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV))は、固形分換算で90/10であった。
表1に示すように、(1)で得たポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料4を100質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水132.8質量部を添加し攪拌して顔料分散組成物4を作製した。
(1)ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料5の作製
ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)として、上記水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2(固形分58.8質量%)を91.8質量部、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)として、旭化成ケミカルズ社製デュラネートTSE-100(NCO基含有割合12.1質量%)を6質量部、ジメチルエタノールアミン9.2質量部を予め混合して得られた混合液を、反応容器中で冷却しながら攪拌混合した。
上記91.8質量部の水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂2と6質量部のデュラネートTSE-100と9.2質量部のジメチルエタノールアミンとを混合した混合液を含む反応容器に、さらに、顔料(I)として、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)1042質量部に対し、塩基性化合物(II)としてピペラジン・6H2O (Mw=194)の10質量%水溶液56.4質量部を予め冷却しながら30分間攪拌混合して得た混合液を上記冷却を継続しながら上記反応容器に加えた。
その後、冷却をやめた状態で1時間攪拌した後40℃に昇温し、更に40℃で1時間撹拌後、さらに上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体1042質量部に対し、DIC社製ポリウレタンディスパージョンハイドランAP-40F(不揮発分22質量%)を90.9質量部加え、50℃にて減圧蒸留して反応溶媒のMEKを溜去することにより、不揮発分28質量%のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料5を得た。
得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料5において、顔料(I)の質量/(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)とポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)の総質量)/ポリウレタンディスパージョンハイドランAP-40Fの質量で表わされる質量比は、固形分換算で100/30/10、ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)に対するポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)の質量比(ポリイソシアネートポリウレタン樹脂(III)/ポリイソシアネート化合物(IV))は、固形分換算で90/10であった。
表1に示すように、(1)で得たポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料5を100質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水132.8質量部を添加し攪拌して顔料分散組成物5を作製した。
表2に示すように、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)104.2質量部に対し、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水128.6質量部を添加し攪拌して、比較顔料分散組成物1を作製した。
表2に示すように、表面に酸性基を有する上記低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの水分散体(固形分濃度20.0質量%、カルボキシル基当量600マイクロモル/g)104.2質量部に対し、DIC社製水分散型ポリウレタン樹脂 ハイドラン AP-40F(不揮発分22質量%)36.4質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水92.3質量部を添加し攪拌して、比較顔料分散組成物2を作製した。
上記ハイドランAP-40Fに対する低酸化カーボンブラック顔料Aの質量比は、(低酸化カーボンブラック顔料A/ハイドランAP-40F)は、固形分換算で100/40であった。
表2に示すように、表面に酸性基を有するAquaBlack(登録商標)164(東海カーボン(株)製、固形分濃度19.2質量%)104.2質量部に対し、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水128.6質量部を添加し攪拌して、比較顔料分散組成物3を作製した。
表2に示すように、表面に酸性基を有するAquaBlack(登録商標)164(東海カーボン(株)製、固形分濃度19.2質量%)104.2質量部に対し、DIC社製水分散型ポリウレタン樹脂 ハイドラン AP-40F(不揮発分22質量%)36.4質量部、グリセリン66質量部、アセチレンジオール系界面活性剤(エアープロダクツ社製サーフィノール104E)0.6質量部、トリエタノールアミン0.6質量部、イオン交換水92.3質量部を添加し攪拌して、比較顔料分散組成物4を作製した。
上記ハイドランAP-40Fに対するAquaBlack(登録商標)164の質量比は、(AquaBlack(登録商標)164/ハイドランAP-40F)は、固形分換算で100/40であった。
実施例1~実施例5および比較例1~比較例4で得た各顔料分散組成物に対してイオン交換水を加え、顔料濃度でそれぞれ6.7質量%になるように調製して、インクジェットインキ組成物とした。
得られたインクジェットインキ組成物を、各々インクカートリッジに充填し、インクジェットプリンターEM-930C(セイコーエプソン社製)で印字を行い、普通紙画像サンプルを反射型光学色濃度計(X-Rite
Inc.製 X-Rite 504)で測定したO.D.平均値を下記基準で評価することにより、画像濃度評価を行った。結果を表3および表4に示す。
○:O.D.値:1.4以上
△:O.D.値:1.3以上1.4未満
×:O.D.値:1.3未満
上記6.7質量%に濃度調製したインクジェットインキ組成物を密閉式ガラス瓶に入れ、インキュベーターにおいて70℃で4週間保存して、試験前後における粘度(mPa・s)および粒径(nm)をそれぞれ測定し、以下の基準により、保存安定性評価を行った。結果を表3および表4に示す。
○:4周間経過時まで粘度(または粒径)の変化率が-5%~+5%の範囲内にある。
△:4周間経過時の粘度(または粒径)の変化率が-5%~+5%の範囲外にあるが、-10%~+10%の範囲内にある。
× : 4周間経過時の粘度(または粒径)の変化率が-10%~+10%の範囲外にある。
上記6.7質量%に濃度調製したインクジェットインキ組成物をテフロン(登録商標)シート上に一滴落とし(繰り返し数n=4)、インキュベーターにより50℃で1時間乾燥後、イオン交換水で洗い流し、滴下したインキの痕跡が残るかどうか目視観察して、以下の基準により、再溶解性を評価した。結果を表3および表4に示す。
○:痕跡が見えない
△:痕跡の輪が0%を超え30%以下残る。
×:痕跡の輪が70%以上残る。
上記6.7質量%に濃度調製したインクジェットインキ組成物をインクカートリッジに充填し、インクジェットプリンターEM-930C(セイコーエプソン社製)で普通紙上に印字した後、普通紙印字部の文字上をコクヨ社ラインマーカーペン(PM-LM103Y)で線を描き、以下の基準により耐マーカー性を評価した。結果を表3および表4に示す。
○:印字部が汚れない。
△:印字部や文字の周りにわずかに汚れ、滲みが認められる。
×:印字部が滲み印字部以外が汚れる。
上記6.7質量%に濃度調製したインクジェットインキ組成物をインクカートリッジに充填し、インクジェットプリンターEM-930C(セイコーエプソン社製)で印字し、ベタ刷り部分をSDL Atlas社製クロックメーターCM-5(擦過性試験機)で300g加重し、10往復擦過する前後のOD値(黒色度)をX-Rite Inc.製 X-Rite 504にて測定して、以下の基準により耐擦過性を評価した。結果を表3および表4に示す。
○:擦過試験前後のOD値の比が97%以上である。
△:擦過性試験前後のOD値の比が90%以上97%未満である。
×:擦過性試験前後のOD値の比が90%未満である。
Claims (12)
- 表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)と、一級アミノ基および二級アミノ基から選ばれるアミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)とを水性媒体中で接触させて、表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料を作製した後、さらに、
末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)およびポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)とを接触させることにより、
前記表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料と末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)とを尿素結合させてなる
ことを特徴とするポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料。 - 前記末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)の固形分酸価が20~120mgKOH/gである請求項1に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料。
- 前記表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)が、表面に酸性基を有する自己分散型カーボンブラックである請求項1に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料。
- 前記表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)が、表面に酸性基を有する自己分散型カーボンブラックである請求項2に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料。
- ポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を製造する方法であって、
表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)と、一級アミノ基および二級アミノ基から選ばれるアミノ基を分子中に2以上有する塩基性化合物(II)とを水性媒体中で接触させて、表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料を作製した後、さらに、
末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)およびポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)とを接触させることにより、
前記表面に未反応アミノ基を有する顔料と末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)およびポリイソシアネート化合物(IV)とを尿素結合させる
ことを特徴とするポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の製造方法。 - 前記末端イソシアネート基を有する水分散性ポリウレタン樹脂(III)の固形分酸価が20~120mgKOH/gである請求項5に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の製造方法。
- 前記表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)が、表面に酸性基を有する自己分散型カーボンブラックである請求項5に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の製造方法。
- 前記表面に酸性基を有する顔料(I)が、表面に酸性基を有する自己分散型カーボンブラックである請求項6に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料の製造方法。
- 請求項1~請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を含むことを特徴とする顔料分散組成物。
- 請求項5~請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の方法で得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を含むことを特徴とする顔料分散組成物。
- 請求項1~請求項4のいずれか1項に記載のポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を含むことを特徴とするインクジェットインク組成物。
- 請求項5~請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の方法で得られたポリウレタン樹脂付加顔料を含むことを特徴とするインクジェットインク組成物。
