Definitions

  • the present invention generally relates to bedding equipment, particularly removable bedding such as blankets for use in beds.
  • the present invention relates to a method for facilitating fitting a covering member over a bedding item by means of a fitting device.
  • a covering member for a blanket such as a quilt, duvet or a comforter, i.e. removing the covering member (or 'cover' for short) and fitting a fresh cover over the blanket, can be time-consuming and/or tiring.

Once inserted into the cover, the quilt or duvet is protected from dust, filth and/or grime, such that washing of the quilt or duvet may be performed less frequently compared to extensively and/or exclusively using the quilt or duvet as it is (i.e. on its own, without protective cover) in the bed.
