Abstract
Description
しかし、この破壊検査による手法ではサンプルとして使用した鋼材が廃棄されるため、材料コストの上昇に繋がっていた。また、検査に要する時間が長くなる上に、インラインでの全数検査が不可能であるため、単発的に発生する不良を発見できずに次工程に搬出してしまう可能性があった。
渦流式検査は、交流電流を流した励磁コイルを前記鋼材の近くに接近させて交流磁場を発生させ、該交流磁場によって鋼材に渦電流を生じさせ、該渦電流により誘起された誘導磁場を検出コイルにより検出するものである。つまり、該渦流式検査により、鋼材を廃棄することなく、短時間で、かつ全数検査によって鋼材の焼入れ深さ及び硬度を定量的に測定することが可能となるのである。
前記渦流式検査は、上記の鋼材の焼入れ深さ及び硬度を測定するための焼入れ深さ/硬度測定試験(以下、焼入れ深さ測定試験とする)のほか、検査対象物の表面に生じた割れ等の傷を検出するための探傷試験や、検査対象物に含まれる異物を検出するための異材判別試験等にも用いられている。
しかし、検査対象物である鋼材は貫通コイルに挿通する必要があるため、外径がほぼ一定である軸物部品に限られていた。つまり、例えば等速ジョイント(CVJ:Constant Velocity Joint)に用いられるアウターレース(以下、CVJアウターレースとする)のように、その内周面が複雑な形状で三次元的に焼入れが入っている鋼材については、貫通コイルに挿通することができないために渦流式検査の対象とすることができなかった。
また、前記特許文献3には、複数のコイルを有する磁気センサにおいて、コイルの配置間隔を変える技術が記載されている。
また、前記特許文献4には、4つの検出コイルと励磁コイルとを備えた金属被検出体特性特定装置が記載されている。
また、前記特許文献5には、検出コイルが固定されていることを改善した磁気測定装置が記載されている。
また、前記特許文献6には、3つの検出コイルを備えた磁性体に係るセンサ装置が記載されている。
また、前記非特許文献1には、渦流計測を用いた高周波焼入れ深さインライン全数計測技術の確立と量産導入に関する技術が記載されている。
なお、本発明の技術的範囲は以下の実施例に限定されるものではなく、本明細書及び図面に記載した事項から明らかになる本発明が真に意図する技術的思想の範囲全体に、広く及ぶものである。
なお、本発明に係る渦流計測用センサは、焼入れ深さ測定試験に限らず、探傷試験や異材判別試験等に用いることが可能である。
まず、本発明の第一実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサについて、図4から図7を用いて説明する。
本実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサはその先端に、図4(a)及び(b)に示す如く励磁部及び検出部を備えて正三角形状に構成されたプローブ100を有する。励磁部は前記の如く、計測対象部品であるワークに対して所定の交流励磁信号(前記交流励磁信号V1参照)を印加する。検出部は、前記交流励磁信号が印加されたワークから渦電流による検出信号(前記検出信号V2参照)を検出するのである。
なお、本明細書ではプローブ100について、図4(a)における上側の面を上面、下側の面を下面とし、同じく右側の面を右側面、左側の面を左側面とし、紙面手前側の面を前面、紙面奥行側の面を後面として説明する。
具体的には図4(b)に示す如く、プローブ100を構成し、角が切り落とされた正三角形状(略六角形状)に形成されたケース21の各辺に沿って、即ちその長手方向がケース21の各辺の方向と平行になるように、フェライトやパーマロイなどの透磁率の高い磁性体からなる円柱状の第一コア31a、第二コア31b、及び、第三コア31cが配設される。そして、それぞれのコア31a~31cの周囲に周方向に励磁コイル32a~32cが巻きつけられるのである。また、それぞれ励磁コイル32a~32cの両端(両端子)は、図示しない交流電源に接続されている。つまり、励磁コイル32a~32cはワークに対して所定の交流励磁信号を印加するための励磁コイルであり、コア31a~31cは励磁コイル32a~32cで発生する磁界を強めるのである。
具体的には図4(b)に示す如く、ケース21において切り落とされたそれぞれの角の部分に、第一検出コイルケース22a、第三検出コイルケース22b、及び、第三検出コイルケース22c、が配設される。そして、それぞれの検出コイルケース22a~22cに検出コイル41a~41cが配設されるのである。また、それぞれの検出コイル41a~41cは、その両端(両端子)が、図示しない計測装置に接続されている。つまり、検出コイル41a~41cは交流励磁信号が印加されたワークから渦電流による検出信号を検出するのである。
具体的には図4(b)に示す如く、ケース21においてそれぞれの検出コイル41a~41cから距離が略均等となる位置にバランスコイル51が配設されるのである。バランスコイル51はその両端(両端子)が前記計測装置に接続されており、検出コイル41a~41cと発生する起電力が互いに打ち消しあうように結線されている。これにより、検出コイル41a~41cとバランスコイル51との差動によって、プローブ100における温度などの外乱の影響を低減させることが可能となる。なお、本実施形態においてバランスコイル51を配設しない構成とすることも可能であるが、前記の如く外乱の影響を低減するという観点においては、検出部がバランスコイル51を備える構成の方が望ましい。
これにより、プローブ100における3個の頂点に配設された検出コイル41a~41cで同様に渦流計測を行うことが可能となるのである。
図6(a)及び(b)に示す如く、CVJアウターレースWはいわゆるボールジョイント型の等速ジョイント(CVJ:Constant Velocity Joint)を構成する部材の一つである。
カップ部Wcは一方(図6(a)においては上方)に開口した略カップ状の形状を有し、その内部に図示せぬCVJインナーレースおよび複数のボールを収容する。カップ部Wcの内周面Wiには開口側から奥側(カップ部Wcの底部側)に向かって延びた6個のボール溝Wb・Wb・・・が成形されている。ボール溝Wb・Wb・・・は、カップ部Wcにおける内周面Wiの周方向に沿って等間隔に配置されており、ボール溝Wb・Wb・・・には、図示せぬ複数のボールがそれぞれ嵌合する。
次に、本発明の第二実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサについて、図8から図10を用いて説明する。なお、本実施形態以降で説明する渦流計測用センサについて、既出の実施形態と共通する部分に関しては同符号を付し、詳細な説明を省略するものとする。
具体的には、図8(b)に示す如く、ケース21において切り落とされたそれぞれの角の部分(プローブ200の各頂点となる部分)に、第一検出コイルケース22a、第三検出コイルケース22b、及び、第三検出コイルケース22c、が、それぞれ弾性部材である第一ばね23a、第二ばね23b、及び、第三ばね23cを介して配設される。そして、それぞれの検出コイルケース22a~22cに検出コイル41a~41cが配設されるのである。
本実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサでCVJアウターレースWのボール溝Wb・Wb・・・を渦流計測する際は、前記第一実施形態の如く、プローブ200をカップ部Wcの内部に挿入する。そして、図9(a)に示す如く、3個のボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbに対してそれぞれ3個の検出コイルケース22a~22cを当接させて位置決めを行う。この際、ばね23a~23cはやや圧縮される。即ち、検出コイルケース22a~22cはばね23a~23cの弾性力によって外側に付勢されており、その付勢力によってボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbに当接するのである。
その後、渦流計測を継続しつつ、前記ロッドを先端方向に延出することで、プローブ200をカップ部Wcの奥側(底部側)に向かって移動させる。この際、ばね23a~23cはカップ部Wcの形状(ボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbの形状)に応じて、徐々に圧縮量が変わっていく。即ち、プローブ200がカップ部Wcの奥側に向かうに従って内周面Wiの径が小さくなるため、検出コイルケース22a~22cがボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbの内周面により径方向内側へ押圧されてばね23a~23cの圧縮量が増加する。また、プローブ200がカップ部Wcの奥側に向かうに従って、検出コイルケース22a~22cはばね23a~23cの弾性力によって外側により強く付勢されるため、ボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbに当接し続けるのである。
具体的には、渦流計測を行いながら、図10(a)中の矢印aに示す如く、プローブ200を前記の如くカップ部Wcの内部で奥側(底部側)に向かって移動させる。つまり、励磁コイル32a~32cのうち少なくとも1個に交流励磁信号として交流電圧を加えながら、検出コイルケース22a~22cをボール溝Wb・Wb・Wbに沿って摺動させるのである。その際、図10(a)に示す割れ(欠陥)を横切った場合には、図10(b)に示す如く、計測信号が大きく変化することとなり、欠陥信号を検出することができるのである。即ち、本実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサにより、CVJアウターレースWに発生した焼割れを発見することができるのである。
次に、本発明の第三実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサについて、図11を用いて説明する。
図11(a)及び(b)に示す如く、本実施形態に係る渦流計測用センサは、前記第一実施形態と同様に励磁部及び検出部を備えたプローブ300を有する。即ち、励磁部として、プローブ300の各辺に配置された、ソレノイドコイルである励磁コイル32a~32cを備える。また、検出部として、プローブ300の各頂点に配置された、パンケーキコイルである検出コイル41a~41c、及び、プローブ300の中心部に配置されたバランスコイル51を備える。
本実施例においては図11(a)に示す如く、渦流計測用センサのプローブ300における、平滑部用検出コイル43の側を、ジャーナル部の中央部Ccに対向させて近接配置する。
本実施例においては図11(b)に示す如く、渦流計測用センサのプローブ300における、第一検出コイル41a及び第二検出コイル41bを、それぞれジャーナル部の両端のR部Cr・Crに対向させて近接配置する。
Claims (5)
- 計測対象部品に対して所定の交流励磁信号を印加するための励磁部、及び、印加された前記交流励磁信号によって計測対象部品に発生する検出信号を検出するための検出部、を備え、正多角形状に構成されたプローブを具備する、渦流計測用センサであって、
前記励磁部は、正多角形状の前記プローブの各辺に沿って配置された励磁コイルを備え、
前記検出部は、正多角形状の前記プローブの各頂点に配置された検出コイルを備え、
前記プローブを前記計測対象部品に近接配置した状態で、前記励磁コイルのうち少なくとも1個に交流励磁信号として交流電圧を加え、計測対象部品における前記検出コイルに対向する部分に磁界を発生させるとともに、該磁界により渦電流を生じさせ、該渦電流により発生した誘起電圧を検出信号として前記検出コイルのうち少なくとも1個で検出し、該検出信号に基づいて計測対象部品における渦流計測を行う、
ことを特徴とする、渦流計測用センサ。 - 前記検出部は、正多角形状の前記プローブの中心部に配置され、前記検出コイルと発生する起電力を互いに打ち消しあうバランスコイルをさらに備える、

ことを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の渦流計測用センサ。 - 前記検出部は、正多角形状の前記プローブにおける少なくとも1つの辺において、前記励磁コイルよりも外側に配置された平滑部用検出コイルをさらに備え、
前記プローブを前記計測対象部品に近接配置した状態で、前記励磁コイルのうち少なくとも1個に交流励磁信号として交流電圧を加え、計測対象部品における前記平滑部用検出コイルに対向する部分に磁界を発生させるとともに、それぞれの磁界により渦電流を生じさせ、該渦電流により発生した誘起電圧を検出信号として前記平滑部用検出コイルで検出し、該検出信号に基づいて計測対象部品における渦流計測を行う、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1から請求項4の何れか1項に記載の渦流計測用センサ。
