This is the same as that shown in FIG. 6, and the initial values S ⁇ 2 and S ⁇ 1 of the subsequent differential encoding unit 15a and the corresponding state numbers (of the initial value setting unit 35a) A list of output information) is shown. Then, when the input state No is determined, the initial value setting unit 35a outputs the corresponding state No (the state No in the same row in the conversion table of FIG. 7).
- the mapping point numbers [1] to [24] indicate the same symbol values as those shown in FIG.
- FIG. 8 shows an example of the simulation result (case 2-1).
- FIG. 9 shows an example of the simulation result (case 2-2).
- the input up to the synchronization word is a random bit input, and the synchronization word is a fixed pattern.
- S 2m from the input pattern shift of S 2m + 1, S '2m , S' represents the transition of the 2m + 1 in the shift state No.
- the result of FIG. 8 and the result of FIG. 9 are different in the 120-bit bit pattern of the random bit input, but the state number immediately before the sync word is 1, indicating that the sync word mapping pattern is a fixed mapping pattern. Yes.

- the initial value used by the combination of (Expression 16) to (Expression 18) is a combination in which the phase difference between the two initial values is n ⁇ / 2 (n is an integer). That is, it is selected from combinations other than the combinations in which the phase difference between the two initial values is 45 °, 135 °, 225 °, and 315 °.
- the reason why the phase difference of the initial value is set to n ⁇ / 2 will be described.
- the combination having a phase difference of n ⁇ / 2 represents not only the initial value but also the combination of the subsequent outputs (symbol arrangement) of the differential encoding unit 34a. Yes.
- the combinations having a phase difference of 45 °, 135 °, 225 °, and 315 ° even if the initial phase difference is set to n ⁇ / 2, It is not output from the differential encoding unit 34a.
- the subsequent output of the differential encoding unit 34a is the combination of (Equation 16) to (Equation 18).
- the symbol arrangement cannot be expressed (that is, the symbol arrangement shown in FIG. 5 is not achieved). Therefore, by combining the phase difference between the two initial values so as to be n ⁇ / 2, not only the symbol arrangement does not include the origin, but also the output of the differential encoding unit 34a is the 24-point symbol arrangement shown in FIG. It can be limited to.
- the symbol mapping units 14-1a, 14-2a, 32-1a, 32-2a perform (for each pattern of the input bits “00”, “01”, “11”, “10” (Symbol mapping is performed in accordance with the correspondence relationship shown in Equation 7) and Equation 8, but the present invention is not limited to this. That is, for example, the symbol mapping units 14-1a and 32-1a serving as the first symbol mapping unit (symbol mapping unit A) have patterns of input bits “00”, “01”, “11”, and “10”.
- symbol mapping unit B Is fixedly mapped to one of the four outputs X 2m shown in (Equation 7), and the symbol mapping units 14-2a and 32-2a serving as the second symbol mapping unit (symbol mapping unit B) are With this same correspondence relationship, it may be fixedly mapped to one of the four outputs X 2m + 1 shown in (Equation 8).

- the S / P conversion unit 303, the symbol mapping units 304-1 and 304-2, and the differential encoding unit 305 are, for example, the S / P conversion unit 13a and the symbol mapping unit 14-1a in the base station 1 shown in FIG. 14-2a have the same function as the differential encoding unit 15a.
- the random bit sequence generation unit 301 generates a random bit sequence having a length L from the beginning of the communication frame to the bit immediately before the synchronization word.
- the random bit sequence buffer 302 temporarily stores the output of the random bit sequence generation unit 301.
- the S / P converter 303 converts the bit sequence input from the random bit sequence buffer 302 in parallel by 4 bits, and outputs the result as a combination of 2 bits.
- the first half (b 4n , b 4n + 1 ) is output to the symbol mapping unit 304-1, and the second half (b 4n + 2 , b 4n + 3 ) is output to the symbol mapping unit 304-2.
- the symbol mapping units 304-1 and 304-2 output complex symbol values X 2m and X 2m + 1 corresponding to 2 bits input from the S / P conversion unit 303, respectively.

- the differential encoding unit 305 two complex symbol values X 2m and X 2m + 1 input from the symbol mapping units 304-1 and 304-2, and one time before stored in the memories 307-1 and 307-2.
- the matrix calculation unit 306 uses the output (S 2m ⁇ 2 , S 2m ⁇ 1 ) of the differential encoding unit 305, the matrix calculation unit 306 performs calculation according to (Equation 1) and outputs the result.

- the initial state number P ⁇ 1 is stored in the memories 307-1 and 307-2 before the first bit of the random bit sequence generated by the random bit sequence generation unit 301 is input to the differential encoding unit 305.
- the state corresponding to the stored initial value is shown.
- the state determination unit 309 determines and outputs the corresponding state number P m from the combination of outputs from the differential encoding unit 305 (S 2m , S 2m + 1 ). (Or FIG. 16).
- the procedure for creating the conversion table shown in FIG. 2 (or FIG. 7) using the differential encoding test apparatus shown in FIG. 17 will be described with reference to the flowchart shown in FIG.
- the procedure for creating the conversion table is roughly divided into a pre-stage process T1 and a post-stage process T2.
- T1 when the initial state number P ⁇ 1 is set to “1”, the final state number (the last bit of the random bit sequence generated by the random bit sequence generation unit 302 is input to the differential encoding unit 305.
- the state number A corresponds to the state No. of the left part (the output immediately before the synchronization word of the preceding differential encoding unit (input of the initial value updating unit)) in the conversion table of FIG. 2 (or FIG. 7).
- step S11 A which is a state number and a variable is set to “1” (step S11), and the following processing is performed. That is, random bit sequence generation section 301 generates random bit sequences b 0 to b L ⁇ 1 by means such as random number generation and stores them in the buffer (step S12), and sets initial state number P ⁇ 1 to “1” (step S12).
- step S13 the differential encoding unit 305 is sequentially operated with the bit sequences b 0 to b L ⁇ 1 as inputs (step S14).
- step S15 the process proceeds to the subsequent process T2. Thereafter, the random bit string generation unit 301 in FIG. 17 stops operating, and the contents b 0 to b L ⁇ 1 of the random bit string buffer 302 are held without being updated.
- the state number B corresponds to the state No. in the right part of the conversion table of FIG. 2 (or FIG. 7) (the initial values S ⁇ 2 and S ⁇ 1 (output of the initial value update unit) of the differential encoder at the subsequent stage). To do.
- the unit 305 is sequentially operated (step S18). As a result, if the final state number P M ⁇ 1 does not become the target “1”, the state number B is incremented by one and the same operation is repeated (steps S19 and S20). On the other hand, when the final state number P M ⁇ 1 becomes the target “1”, the value of the state number B and the value of the state number A input in the processing are set to (A, B), and one Saved as a combination (step S21).
- Ns is the total number of states
- the initial state number P ⁇ 1 and the final state number P M ⁇ 1 are the same bit sequence, a common combination of the state number A and the state number B can be used.
- the initial state number P ⁇ 1 is set to “1” to obtain bit strings b 0 to b L ⁇ 1 that are the state number A, and the final state number P M ⁇ 1 is “1”.
- the initial state number P -1 does not have to start with “1”, and the final state number P M-1 does not have to be “1”. It is possible to set.
- the values stored in the initial value conversion tables (FIG. 2 and FIG. 7) are appropriately changed depending on the mapping method of symbol mapping and the combination of the initial values. Moreover, it changes suitably also with the combination of an initial state number and a final state number.
- AFC processing in digital radio is based on the premise that the mapping arrangement of the synchronization word is known, and the receiving side calculates and corrects an error from the mapping arrangement result obtained by demodulating the synchronization word.
- the mapping arrangement changes depending on the input of the immediately preceding data (for example, voice data), so the mapping arrangement as a reference becomes indefinite, and it is necessary to take measures. was there. Therefore, in this example, the initial values S ⁇ 2 and S ⁇ 1 input to the differential encoding unit 15a are calculated from the 120-bit data from the beginning of the received data frame to immediately before the synchronization word, and the calculation result is initialized.
- the mapping arrangement of the synchronization word can be compared as a reference mapping pattern as a fixed mapping pattern.
- a synchronization word mapping pattern (mapping arrangement) that is conventionally indefinite depending on other input data is changed to a fixed mapping pattern (for example, a known mapping pattern). For example, it is possible to predefine a mapping arrangement point serving as a reference in the AFC processing on the receiving side.

図13には、QPSK(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying)変調の時におけるX(X2mやX2m+1)の信号配置の一例を示してある。
