Abstract
Description
本願は、2010年1月18日に日本に出願された特願2010-008039について優先権を主張し、その内容をここに援用する。
また、組電池に充電を行う場合には、二次電池の充電率が満充電時の充電率の値を超えないように注意して充電を行う必要がある。よってこのような場合にも、組電池を電源として利用するシステムを簡易な構成としたままで、システムの利用者が二次電池の充電率を容易に把握できるような構成とすることが望ましい。
前記電池制御装置は、組電池を構成する複数の二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最大値を示す最大充電率を演算する最大充電率演算部と、前記二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最小値を示す最小充電率を演算する最小充電率演算部と、前記二次電池が満充電である場合の満充電率を上限とし、前記二次電池が空充電である場合の空充電率を下限とする充電率表示範囲に表示する波形信号であって、前記最大充電率を最大ピーク、前記最小充電率を最小ピークとする通常時波形信号を生成する波形生成部と、を備える。
前記表示装置は、前記通常時波形信号を前記充電率表示範囲に表示する充電率表示部を備える。
図1は同実施形態による電池システムの構成を示すブロック図である。
この図において、符号1は電池システムである。本実施形態において電池システム1は電気自動車に設置され当該電気自動車に電力を供給するものとして説明する。当該電池システムは、組電池10、BMS(Battery Management System)20、電力負荷制御装置30、表示装置40、電力負荷50を備えている。
組電池10は、電気自動車の電力負荷50に電力を供給するものであり、複数の二次電池11c~11f(以下、総称して二次電池11とする)が直列に接続されることにより構成される。
またBMS20は、組電池10を構成する二次電池11を監視・制御する処理部である。BMS20は後述のADC21a、21b、CMU22a、22b、BMU23、を含んで構成されている。また電力負荷制御装置30は、BMS20からの制御に基づいて電力負荷50を制御する処理部であり、表示装置40はBMS20からの制御に基づいて組電池10を構成する二次電池11の充電率等の表示を行う処理部である。BMS20と組電池10とは、信号線によって接続され、またBMS20と電力負荷制御装置30および表示装置40、また電力負荷制御装置30と電力負荷50とが信号線によって接続される。また電力負荷50は組電池10と電力線によって接続されている。
また電池システム1は、電気自動車以外にも、例えば、フォークリフトなどの産業車両や電車、電力負荷50である電気モータにプロペラまたはスクリューを接続した飛行機または船などの移動体に備えられるようにしてもよい。さらに、電池システム1は、例えば家庭用の電力貯蔵システムや、風車や太陽光のような自然エネルギー発電と組み合わせた系統連系円滑化蓄電システムなどの定置用のシステムに備えられるようにしてもよい。すなわち、電池システム1は、二次電池による電力の充放電を利用するシステムに備えられる。
ADC21は、二次電池11から当該二次電池11の状態を示すパラメータ値の信号をアナログ信号として受け、このアナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換してCMU22へ出力する処理を行うものである。本実施形態においては、この二次電池11の状態を示すパラメータ値は電流値、電圧値、二次電池の筐体の温度等であるものとする。なお、パラメータ値としては、その他、導電素材で形成された二次電池11の筐体と当該二次電池11の正極との間の電位差(以下、缶電位と呼ぶ)であってもよく、二次電池11の状態に応じて変化するものであれば様々なものが適用可能である。
また、BMU23は、CMU22から受付けたパラメータ値に基づいて、複数の二次電池11の現在の充電率のうち最大と最小を示す充電率を演算し、その充電率の値を示す信号を出力する処理を行う。BMU23は、信号線により複数のCMU22と接続されており、これら複数のCMU22から得られた情報に基づいて、組電池10を構成する複数の二次電池11を集中管理する処理を行う。
ADC21は、二次電池11から出力される電流値、二次電池11の電圧値、二次電池11の缶電位、二次電池11の温度などのパラメータ値のアナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換してCMU22へ出力するものである。
またCMU22は、ADC21からパラメータ値の信号を受付けて、各パラメータ値を検出するパラメータ値検出部221を備えている。
パラメータ値が二次電池11の電圧値である場合、CMU22のパラメータ値検出部221は、ADC21を介して、二次電池11の正極端子230と負極端子220との間に設けられた電圧計3から二次電池11の電圧値を取得する。
また、二次電池11の筐体100には、温度計測回路4が取り付けられる。温度計測回路4は、二次電池11の温度を計測するセンサを含むものである。そして、パラメータ値が温度である場合、CMU22のパラメータ値検出部221は、ADC21を介して、各二次電池11の筐体100に取り付けられた温度計測回路4より、当該温度計測回路4によって計測された二次電池11の筐体100の温度値を示すデータを取得する。
また、パラメータ値が缶電位である場合、CMU22のパラメータ値検出部221は、ADC21を介して、二次電池11の筐体100と二次電池11の正極端子230との間の電位を検出する電圧計5から缶電位を取得する。
また、パラメータ値が二次電池11の出力する電流値である場合、当該二次電池11に直列に接続された電流計2から、電流値を取得する。
なお、電流値は組電池10のような直列では同一であるので、BMU23が計測しても良い。BMU23とCMU22は相互にデータをやり取りできるので、BMU23が計測した電流値はCMU22に提供しても良い。二次電池単位の充電率はCMU22で計算しても良く、CMU22の情報を集約しているBMU23で計算しても良い。
図3はBMUと表示装置の機能ブロックを示す図である。図4は電池システムの処理フローを示す第1の図である。図5は実施例1による充電率インジケータにおいて表示される波形のイメージを示す図である。
次に、図3~図5を用いて電池システム1の処理フローについて順を追って説明する。
BMU23は、図3で示すように、最大充電率演算部231、最小充電率演算部232、波形生成部233、異常検出部234を備えており、また表示装置40は、充電率表示部301、充電率インジケータ302、異常ランプ303を備えている。
まず、BMU23は、ADC21およびCMU22を介して二次電池11a~11fそれぞれの電圧値、直列に接続された二次電池11a~11fの出力する電流値(BMU23で電流値を直接計測する場合には、当該電流値はBMU23で取得されているため、CMU22はBMU23へ電流値の出力を行なわなくても良い)、各二次電池11a~11fの筐体100の温度、二次電池11a~11fの缶電位、等のパラメータ値を取得する(ステップS101)。
そしてBMU23の最大充電率演算部231は、取得した電圧値、電流値、温度のうちの何れか1つまたは複数を用いて、二次電池11a~11fそれぞれの現在の充電率を演算(ステップS102)する。なお、CMU22で既に二次電池単位の充電率まで計算しておき、ステップ101ではBMU23が二次電池単位の充電率を直接取得しても良い。その場合はステップ102のBMU23での二次電池単位の充電率演算は省略する。そして、最大充電率演算部231は、二次電池単位の充電率を演算すると、そのうちの最大充電率を特定する(ステップS103)。また、最小充電率演算部232は、最大充電率演算部231が演算した二次電池11a~11fそれぞれの現在の充電率のうちの最小充電率を特定する(ステップS104)。
また、最大充電率演算部231や最小充電率演算部232は、例えば、電流値を用いて充電率を演算する場合には、ある充電率の状態から、二次電池11に充放電する電流値を積分して、各二次電池11a~11fの充電率を演算すればよい。そして、その中から最大充電率または最小充電率を特定する。
なお、これ以外にも、充電率の演算手法であればどのような手法によって充電率を演算してもよい。
図6は実施例2による充電率インジケータにおいて表示される波形のイメージを示す図である。
次に、組電池を構成する二次電池に異常が検知された場合の処理について説明する。
上述したようにBMU23は、ADC21およびCMU22を介して二次電池11a~11fそれぞれの電圧値、直列に接続された二次電池11a~11fの出力する電流値、各二次電池11a~11fの筐体100の温度、二次電池11a~11fの缶電位、等のパラメータ値を取得する。そして、BMU23の異常検出部234は、これらパラメータ値から電池が異常であるかを判定する。例えば電圧値、電流値、缶電位、温度が閾値異常である場合などに二次電池の異常と判定する。そして異常検出部234は、異常と判定した場合、波形生成部233に異常信号を出力する。また最大充電率演算部231および最小充電率演算部232は、実施例1と同様に波形生成部233へ、演算した最大充電率や最小充電率をそれぞれ出力する。
図7は実施例3による充電率インジケータにおいて表示される波形のイメージを示す図である。
また、波形生成部233は、二次電池11の異常を検出した場合には、上述の同様の異常時波形を充電率インジケータ302へ表示できる異常時波形信号であって、波形生成部233が特定した充電率SOCR(最大充電率、最小充電率、複数の二次電池の充電率の平均値(例えば、当該平均値は波形生成部233が演算する)などのうち、予め設定された値である指標充電率)が当該異常時波形で表現できるような異常時波形信号を生成して出力するようにしてもよい。この場合、波形生成部233は、1周期をT(s)、1周期分の始まりを時刻t=0sとして、下記の式(3),(4)の異常時信号算出式を用いて、当該異常時の波形の信号である異常時波形信号を生成し、通常時波形信号の代わりに、異常時波形信号を電気信号に変換して充電率表示部301に出力する。

また、図1には、CMU22がBMS20において複数存在する場合の例を示したが、当該CMU22がBMS20に1つのみ存在し、そのCMU22が、組電池10を構成する全ての二次電池11a~11fを管理するようにしてもよい。またCMU22がBMU23の処理機能の一部を備えるようにしてもよいし、BMU23がCMU22の処理機能の一部を備えるようにしてもよい。
前記電池制御装置は、組電池を構成する複数の二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最大値を示す最大充電率を演算する最大充電率演算部と、前記二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最小値を示す最小充電率を演算する最小充電率演算部と、前記二次電池が満充電である場合の満充電率を上限とし、前記二次電池が空充電である場合の空充電率を下限とする充電率表示範囲に表示する波形信号であって、前記最大充電率を最大ピーク、前記最小充電率を最小ピークとする通常時波形信号を生成する波形生成部と、を備える。前記表示装置は、前記通常時波形信号を前記充電率表示範囲に表示する充電率表示部を備える。
本発明によれば、組電池を電源として利用する装置を簡易な構成としたままで、装置の利用者が二次電池の充電率を容易に把握できる。

Claims (6)
- 電池制御装置と表示装置とを備える電池システムであって、
前記電池制御装置は、
組電池を構成する複数の二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最大値を示す最大充電率を演算する最大充電率演算部と、
前記二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率のうち最小値を示す最小充電率を演算する最小充電率演算部と、
前記二次電池が満充電である場合の満充電率を上限とし、前記二次電池が空充電である場合の空充電率を下限とする充電率表示範囲に表示する波形信号であって、前記最大充電率を最大ピーク、前記最小充電率を最小ピークとする通常時波形信号を生成する波形生成部と、を備え、
前記表示装置は、前記通常時波形信号を前記充電率表示範囲に表示する充電率表示部を備える電池システム。 - 前記二次電池の異常を検出する異常検出部を備え、
前記波形生成部は、前記満充電率を前記最大ピーク、前記空充電率を前記最小ピークとする異常時波形信号を生成し、
前記充電率表示部は、前記通常時波形信号に代えて前記異常時波形信号を前記充電率表示範囲に表示する請求項1に記載の電池システム。 - 前記充電率表示部は、前記通常時波形信号と前記異常時波形信号とを交互に前記充電率表示範囲に表示する請求項2に記載の電池システム。
- 前記二次電池の異常を検出する異常検出部を備え、
前記波形生成部は、前記満充電率を前記最大ピーク、前記空充電率を前記最小ピークとする異常時波形信号を生成し、
前記充電率表示部は、前記通常時波形信号と前記異常時波形信号とを前記充電率表示範囲に表示する請求項1に記載の電池システム。 - 前記波形生成部は、前記二次電池それぞれの現在の充電率から演算した指標充電率の値を波形の基本位置とする前記異常時波形信号を生成する請求項2から請求項4の何れか一項に記載の電池システム。
- 前記表示装置は、
前記最大充電率と前記最小充電率の乖離が閾値以上である場合には、前記組電池が異常であることを示す異常信号を出力する異常信号出力部を備える請求項1から請求項5の何れか一項に記載の電池システム。
