Abstract

Um ein Steckerelement (2), insbesondere ein so genannter small form-factor pluggable-Stecker, mit einem zuverlässig wirksamen und einfach montierbaren Verriegelungsmechanismus auszugestalten, ist die Anordnung eines Verriegelungselements (22) sowie eines Betätigungselements (20) innerhalb eines Gehäuses (8) des Steckerelements (2) vorgesehen. Das Verriegelungselement (22) umfasst hierbei ein Rastelement (44) zur Verrastung und Verriegelung mit einem Gegenstück (6), in das das Steckerelement (2) zur Ausbildung einer verriegelbaren Steckverbindung einsteckbar ist. Das Betätigungselement (22) umfasst ein Griffteil (24), welches durch einen ersten Durchbruch (28) durch das Gehäuse (8) nach außen geführt ist.
