Definitions
- the present invention relates to a control system for household appliances, in particular to one which has a controllable solenoid valve and holds this in an open position.
- a control system for gas stoves is known.
- the deadman circuit no longer receives square wave signals from the microprocessor. This precludes triggering of the switch connected to the dead man's circuit, and this is consequently turned off. Thereafter, the solenoid valve is closed to prevent gas leakage due to the malfunction of the microprocessor.
- deadman circuit has a hidden defect.
- a faulty control unit can still transmit a square wave signal of a specific frequency to the deadman circuit, so that the deadman circuit, although the frequency deviates from the frequency range, incorrectly evaluates this as a sign of a normal operating state of the control unit.
- a normal operating state is reported back to the controller, which then triggers the switch connected to the dead man's circuit.
- the solenoid valve is opened, which results in undesirable gas leakage.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a control system for a solenoid valve of a household appliance, with which a gas leakage caused by defective components can be restricted or prevented.
- the object is achieved by a control system for a solenoid valve of a household appliance with a switch for controlling the current of the solenoid valve, a control device for detecting a malfunction of the switch and a safety circuit for fault monitoring of the control device, wherein the safety circuit comprises a filter element having a certain frequency range pass through.
- the filter element comprises a
- High pass filter and a low pass filter which are arranged one behind the other.
- the filter element comprises a bandpass filter.
- the household appliance is a gas stove which has a manually actuated plug tap, an electrically actuated solenoid valve to supplement the plug tap, a burner to which a gas stream can be fed, and an igniter to ignite the burner includes.
- the present invention provides the following advantages: By designing the safety circuit with a filter element that only lets through a specific frequency range, the transmission of false signals in the event of a malfunction of the control device is completely ruled out in order to prevent unwanted gas leakage due to defective components in the Control system of the solenoid valve to prevent.

- FIG. 3 shows a block diagram of a second embodiment of a safety circuit of the present invention.
- FIG. 1 shows a block diagram of a control system according to the invention for a solenoid valve of a household appliance.
- the domestic appliance is a gas stove with a plug cock 1, an electrically operated solenoid valve 2, a burner (not shown), an igniter (not shown), a control system 54, a flame detector 6 and a trigger switch (not shown).
- the control system 54 in turn comprises first, second and third switches 541, 542 and 543 connected in series with the solenoid valve 2.
- the three switches are each formed as a triode.
- they can also be designed differently, for example as a controllable silicon rectifier, relay, MOSFET or a combination thereof.
- a controller 544 which as a microprocessor or other integrated circuit -.
- ASIC application-specific integrated circuits
- FPGA Field Programmable Gate Array
- a microprocessor is used as the control unit 544, which is provided with a plurality of input / output terminals P1 to P5.
- the terminal P1 is connected to the collector of the first switch (Q4) 541, the terminal P2 to the base of the first switch (Q4) 541, the terminal P3 to the collector of the second switch (Q17) 542 and the terminal P4 to the base of the second switch (Q17) 542.
- the deadman circuit 545 includes a DC blocking circuit 5450, a high pass filter 5451, a low pass filter 5452 disposed thereamong, an AC-DC converter circuit 5453, and a power driver circuit 5454.
- the high pass filter 5451 and the low-pass filter 5452 together form a filter element which is transparent to waves of a certain frequency range.
- a lower limit of, for example, 950 Hz can be determined (ie square-wave signals with a frequency above 950 Hz are transmitted) and, accordingly, for the low-pass filter 5452 an upper limit of, for example, 1050 Hz (ie square-wave signals with a frequency below 1050 Hz) passed through).
- 1050 Hz ie square-wave signals with a frequency below 1050 Hz
- the safety circuit 545 a 100 Hz wide passband for rectangular signals.
- the filter element only passes the operational square-wave signals together with high-pass filter 5451 and low-pass filter 5452.
- the rectangular signals transmitted by the filter element pass through the AC-DC converter circuit 5453, and the third switch 543 is turned on by the power driver circuit 5454.
- the dc blocking circuit 5451 either no longer receives square wave signals from pin P5 or the received square wave signals have a frequency other than the predetermined frequency range and therefore will not be rejected by high pass filter 5451 and low pass filter 5452 permeated filter element. This excludes activation of the third switch 543, and this is consequently turned off. This closes the solenoid valve to prevent gas leakage due to the malfunction of the microprocessor.
- FIG. 3 shows a second embodiment of a dead man's circuit 545 according to the invention, which largely corresponds to the first embodiment according to FIG. 2 and differs therefrom in that a bandpass filter 5451 'is used as the filter element whose bandwidth is that of the square-wave signals sent out during normal operation of the control device 544 is tuned.
- a bandpass filter 5451 ' is used as the filter element whose bandwidth is that of the square-wave signals sent out during normal operation of the control device 544 is tuned.
- the costs can advantageously be kept low, whereas in the embodiment shown in FIG Lower cutoff frequency of the high pass filter 5451 and an upper cutoff frequency of the low pass filter 5452 set, which is associated with higher costs.
- control system according to the invention for both gas stoves and other household appliances with a solenoid valve as a switching device such. Induction cookers, cooker hoods, etc. is suitable.
- control system according to the invention is not limited in its operation to the Chinese patent application 200910031364.5.
