Abstract

본 발명은 줄기세포로부터 신경세포로의 분화 유도방법에 관한 것이다. 보다 구체적으로, 본 발명은 줄기세포의 골 형성 단백질(bone morphogenetic protein) 신호 경로 및 액티빈/노달(Activin/Nodal) 신호 경로를 억제하여 줄기세포로부터 신경세포로의 분화를 유도하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 종래 줄기세포 분화에 사용되었던 부유배양(floating culture) 및 부착배양(attachment culture)등 방법에 관계없이 모든 줄기세포를 효율적으로 신경전구세포로 분화시킬 수 있는 장점이 있다. 또한, 본 발명에 의하여 분화 유도된 신경전구세포는 특정세포(예를 들면, 도파민 신경세포) 또는 올리고덴드로사이트 등으로 고효율로 분화할 수 있으므로, 차후 난치성 신경계 질환(예를 들면, 파킨슨 병이나 척수손상)에 적용할 수 있으며 신약계발에 있어서 기초적인 자료를 제공한다.
