Definitions
- the present invention relates to an axial gap motor.
- the rotors of axial gap motors described in Patent Documents 1 to 4 below are permanent magnets that are spaced apart from each other in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, and soft magnetic material portions (permanent magnets) that are provided between these permanent magnets. Soft magnetic material portion). It is described that the reluctance torque increases and the motor torque increases due to the soft magnetic body portion thus provided.

- rare earth magnet As a permanent magnet used for the rotor of the axial gap motor as described above, a rare earth magnet having a large residual magnetic flux density is generally used.
- rare earths such as neodymium (Nd) and dysprosium (Dy), which are rare earth magnet raw materials, are unevenly distributed in specific areas, and in recent years the amount of use has increased rapidly. For this reason, rare earths have difficulties in terms of stable supply and price.
- the magnet torque decreases accordingly. Therefore, it is preferable to employ an axial gap motor having a configuration that can suppress a decrease in magnet torque and increase a reluctance torque.
- a rare earth magnet is replaced with a non-rare earth magnet in a conventional axial gap motor, it has been difficult to achieve both.
- a rotor back core made of a soft magnetic material is provided on the stator side surface of the permanent magnet.
- the permanent magnet is sandwiched from the rotation axis direction by a pair of magnetic bodies made of a soft magnetic material. That is, a pair of magnetic bodies made of a soft magnetic material is provided on both surfaces of the pair of stators on the side of the stator.
- the non-rare earth magnet becomes thin due to a member provided on the stator side surface of the permanent magnet, and the non-rare earth in the volume of the entire rotor is reduced.
- the ratio occupied by the volume of the magnet could not be increased.
- the magnetic flux generated from the stator is attracted to the magnetic body on the surface of the permanent magnet on the stator side. Therefore, the magnetic flux from one stator to the other stator passes to some extent not only in the inter-permanent soft magnet part but also in the permanent magnet. As a result, the reluctance torque is reduced due to a decrease in the magnetic flux passing through the soft magnet between the permanent magnets, and a non-rare earth is caused by the magnetic flux passing through the permanent magnet, particularly the field weakening magnetic flux. There has been a problem that irreversible demagnetization occurs in the magnet and magnet torque decreases.
- FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a schematic cross section along the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft in the vicinity of the rotor in the axial gap motor described in Patent Document 3.
- the permanent magnet 8 of the rotor 3 is magnetized in a direction perpendicular to the rotation axis of the rotor 3 (left-right direction in FIG. 1), as shown in FIG. . That is, the magnetic pole surface 8 mS of the permanent magnet 8 is orthogonal to the surface 4 S of the stator 4 facing the rotor 3.
- the magnetic flux 8 m generated from the permanent magnet 8 is directed from the permanent magnet 8 toward the inter-permanent magnet soft magnetic body portion 9 and further from the inter-permanent magnet soft magnetic body portion 9 toward the pair of stators 4.
- the pair of surfaces on the pair of stators 4 side of the inter-permanent soft magnet portion 9 magnetized by the permanent magnet 8 have the same polarity.
- most of the magnetic flux 4m generated from the pair of stators 4 cannot travel from one stator 4 to the other stator 4 via the inter-permanent-magnet soft magnetic body portion 9, and the magnetic flux generated from the stator 4 is again generated. It will return to the same stator 4. Therefore, the magnetic flux generated from the stator 4 and passing through the inter-permanent-magnet soft magnetic body portion 9 is reduced, which causes a problem that the reluctance torque is reduced.
- the permanent magnet and the soft magnetic body portion between the permanent magnets are in direct contact with each other. Therefore, when a non-rare earth magnet is used as the permanent magnet, the non-rare earth magnet and the soft magnetic body portion between the permanent magnets are magnetically coupled. Since the residual magnetic flux density of the non-rare earth magnet is smaller than the residual magnetic flux density of the rare earth magnet, the magnetic flux from the stator, in particular, the field weakening magnetic flux passes through the inter-permanent soft magnet part and is magnetized in the inter-permanent soft magnet part. When the orientation of the magnet changes, the magnetization of the non-rare earth magnet also changes to some extent as dragged by the change. As a result, there is a problem that irreversible demagnetization occurs in the non-rare earth magnet and the magnet torque decreases.
- the present invention has been made in view of such problems, and is an axial gap motor using a non-rare earth magnet as a permanent magnet, which can suppress a decrease in magnet torque and increase reluctance torque. It is an object of the present invention to provide an axial gap motor that can be made to operate.
- an axial gap motor includes a rotor and a pair of stators provided to face the rotor so as to sandwich the rotor through the gap from the direction of the rotation axis of the rotor.
- the rotor includes a plurality of non-rare earth magnets spaced apart from each other along the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, and a plurality of non-magnetic body portions or a plurality of gaps provided between the plurality of non-rare earth magnets.
- the magnetization direction of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets is along the direction of the rotation axis, respectively, and the magnetic permeability of the plurality of magnetic body portions is larger than the permeability of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets.
- the plurality of non-rare earth magnets and the plurality of magnetic body portions define a facing surface of the rotor with the pair of stators.
- the plurality of non-rare earth magnets and the plurality of magnetic body portions define the opposed surfaces of the rotor to the pair of stators, There is no member such as a rotor back core. Therefore, since the non-rare earth magnet does not become thin due to such a member, the ratio of the volume of the non-rare earth magnet to the volume of the entire rotor can be increased. As a result, it is possible to suppress a decrease in magnet torque due to a small proportion of the volume of the non-rare earth magnet in the entire volume of the rotor.
- the magnetic permeability of the plurality of magnetic body portions is larger than the permeability of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets, and there is no member made of a soft magnetic material on the surface of the pair of stators of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets.
- the magnetic flux generated from the stator is restrained from being attracted in the direction of the stator-side surface of the non-rare earth magnet. Therefore, most of the magnetic flux generated from one stator and going to the other stator passes through the inside of the magnetic body provided between the plurality of non-rare earth magnets without passing through the non-rare earth magnet. As a result, since most of the magnetic flux generated from the stator is guided into the magnetic body portion, the reluctance torque can be increased.
- the pair of stator-side surfaces of the magnetic body portion is not magnetized to the same polarity by the magnetic flux generated by the non-rare earth magnet. Therefore, the reluctance torque generated when the pair of stator-side surfaces of the magnetic body part is magnetized to the same polarity because the magnetic flux from one stator to the other stator does not interfere with the magnetic body part. There will be no problem of decrease of.
- the plurality of magnetic body portions are provided between the plurality of non-rare earth magnets via the non-magnetic body portion or the space gap, the magnetic coupling between the non-rare earth magnet and the magnetic body portion is suppressed. Can do. Therefore, even if the magnetic flux from the stator, especially the field-weakening magnetic flux passes through the magnetic body portion and the magnetization direction of the magnetic body portion changes, the magnetization of the non-rare earth magnet changes so as to be dragged by the change. It is suppressed. As a result, irreversible demagnetization of the non-rare earth magnet is suppressed, so that a decrease in magnet torque can be suppressed.

- the residual magnetic flux density of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets is preferably 200 mT or more and 600 mT or less.
- the recoil permeability of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets is preferably 1.0 or more and 2.0 or less.

- the non-rare earth magnet can be a ferrite magnet.

Therefore, it is not hindered that the magnetic flux 21m from one stator 21 to the other stator 21 passes through the inside of the magnetic body portion 15, so that the surfaces on the pair of stators 21 side of the magnetic body portion 15 are magnetized to the same polarity. There is no problem of reluctance torque reduction as occurs in some cases.
- the magnetic permeability of the plurality of magnetic body portions 15 is larger than the magnetic permeability of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets 13, and the surfaces of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets 13 on the pair of stators 21 (part of the facing surface 11S). Since there is no member made of a soft magnetic material, the magnetic flux 21m generated from the stator 21 is suppressed from being drawn toward the surface of the non-rare earth magnet 13 on the stator 21 side.
- the magnetic flux generated from the stator 21 21m is attracted in the direction of the surface of the non-rare earth magnet 13 on the stator 21 side, that is, in the d-axis direction.
- the axial gap motor 10 As described above, according to the axial gap motor 10 according to the present embodiment, it is possible to suppress the decrease of the magnet torque and increase the reluctance torque.
- the residual magnetic flux density of the plurality of non-rare earth magnets 13 is preferably 200 mT or more and 600 mT or less. - the rotor 11 has only a non-rare earth magnet such as the non-rare earth magnet 13 as a permanent magnet for generating magnet torque (see FIGS. 3 to 6). It is not restricted to such an aspect.
- the rotor 11 may have a rare earth magnet in addition to a non-rare earth magnet as a permanent magnet for generating magnet torque.

- the number of slots was 24 in all six examples.
- the number of poles was 10 in all six examples.
- FIG. 12 is a diagram showing the relationship between the number of turns, the average torque, and the decrease rate of the U-phase interlinkage magnetic flux for the axial gap motor of the example.

- the decrease rate of the U-phase flux linkage increased with the increase in the number of turns.
- the number of turns was 15, the average torque was sufficiently large, and the reduction rate of the U-phase linkage magnetic flux was a very small value of 2.7%. From these results, it was found that the optimum number of turns was 15 when both the average torque and the decrease rate of the U-phase linkage magnetic flux were considered.
- the width of the non-rare earth magnet 13 (width in the direction along the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft 11a of the non-rare earth magnet 13) was changed from 18 deg to 26.4 deg in increments of 1.2 deg.

- the torque ripple was a very small value of less than 9% in the range where the width of the non-rare earth magnet was 18 deg to 26.4 deg.
- the average torque was the maximum when the width of the non-rare earth magnet was 24 deg. From these results, it was found that the optimum width of the non-rare earth magnet was 24 deg.
