Definitions
- the invention relates to a surgical instrument according to claim 1, an instrument-containing shipping unit according to claim 5 and a packaging method according to claim 6.
- Surgical instruments with a shank bent in a shaft extending shaft are particularly suitable for laparoscopic applications, and in particular for the introduction of multiple instruments through a port.
- the actuators are arranged on the shanks in such a rotational position that the grips of the actuators protrude from the shaft plane.
- the shaft is rotatably mounted on the actuating device and can thus be brought into different working positions, e.g. are suitable for left-handed or right-handed operation.
- a fixing device
- CONFIRMATION COPY ensures that the shaft is fixable to the actuator in the selected working position.
- a transport lock is provided according to claim 1, with which the instrument is fixable in a transport position, in which the grips lie in the shaft plane, so the entire instrument is largely in one plane. In this design, it can be very flat and thus save space.
- an external support provided as a transport lock, which is particularly advantageous according to claim 4 designed as a transport packaging.
- a fixation of the transport position on the instrument itself can be omitted.
- a shipping unit according to the invention consists according to claim 5 of the instrument according to the invention in transport position and this surrounding transport packaging. This shipping unit has great advantages, especially in terms of space requirements.
- a method for packaging an instrument is specified in claim 6.
- Fig. 1 is a side view of an instrument according to the invention, the
- FIG. 1 an end view of the proximal end region of the instrument of FIG. 1, showing two additional rotational positions of the shaft, FIG.

- Fig. 5 is a representation corresponding to FIG. 3 in another embodiment.
- FIG. 1 shows an instrument 1 according to the invention with an elongated shaft 2, which is formed bent several times in the plane of the drawing, as shown in FIG. 1.
- an end effector 3 which is indicated in the embodiment as a pair of pliers.
- an actuating device 4 depart from the grips 5, which carry finger rings 6 in the embodiment at their ends.
- the grips 5 are pivotally mounted on the actuator 4 and drive via not shown, internal devices the end effector 3 for opening and closing movement.
- Fig. 1 shows in the view of the section along line 2 - 2 in Fig. 1 is an end view of the actuator 4.
- the shaft 2 is shown in solid lines in a first working position AI against the handle pieces 5, the in Fig. 1 Corresponding angular position corresponds.
- the shaft 2 is rotatably mounted on the actuator 4 about the axis of the proximal end of the shaft 2, so that the instrument 1 by turning the shaft 2 relative to the actuator 4 from the working position AI in the Working position A2 of the shaft is adjustable.
- Fig. 3 shows in view of section line 3 - 3 in Fig. 1, a fixing device with a mounted on the shaft 2 wheel 7 with grooves 8, in which a pawl at the end of a locking spring 9 can engage, at its other end to the actuator 4 is attached, for example, with the two rivets shown. If the spring 9 lifted at its end carrying the pawl slightly from the wheel 7, as indicated by dashed lines in Fig. 3, the shaft 2 can be rotated relative to the actuator 4.
- Fig. 3 shows three grooves 8, corresponding to three rotational positions of the shaft 2 relative to the actuator 4. The two positions AI and A2 were already mentioned.
- a third position, the transport position T is also shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2.
- the instrument 1 is shown in this transport position T.
- the stretched in a plane shape of the instrument 1 is ideal for placement in a transport packaging, which is shown in Fig. 4, with two half-shells 10 and 11, is shown.
- the half-shells 10, 11 are e.g. formed by deep drawing in a mold for all-round enclosing recording of the instrument 1 and can be attached to the edges together.
- this consists of two half-shells 10 and 11, which are formed substantially identical and also made of the same plastic material.
- only one of the two half-shells of FIG. 4 can be used, for. B.
- Fig. 5 shows in illustration corresponding to FIG. 3 another embodiment of the fixing device with a instead of the wheel 7 mounted on the shaft 2 square piece 12.
- an axle 13 is mounted, on which in turn a fork member 14 is mounted, which can be brought by pivoting about the axis 13 in or out of engagement with the square piece 12 with its matching the square piece 12 fork opening 12 to fix the rotational position of the shaft 2.
- the shaft 2 can be adjusted relative to the actuating device 4 in 90 ° angles.
- Fig. 2 would be adapted to the embodiment of FIG. 5 training so in each case a right angle between the positions A 1, T and A 2.
- a hexagon piece or another fitting may be provided to which the fork member 14 is adapted for positive engagement accordingly.
