Description
そのようなパンツ型吸収性物品においては、レッグ開口部に沿って、糸状ないし帯状の弾性部材を配したり、外装体自体をシート状の弾性部材で形成すること等により、脚回りに対するフィット性を向上させているが、それらの場合には、フィット性を一層向上させようとすると、着用者の脚回りや胴回りを強く締め付け、ゴム跡が付いたり、着用者がきつく感じるという場合があった。
本発明の第1実施形態であるパンツ型使い捨ておむつ1(以下、おむつ1ともいう)は、図2に示すように、外装体2と外装体の内面側に固定されている吸収性本体3とを備えている。外装体2は、着用者の腹側に配される腹側部2Aと、股間部に配される股下部2Cと、背側に配される背側部2Bとを有し、腹側部2Aの側縁部2a,2aと背側部2Bの側縁部2b,2bとが接合されて一対のサイドシール部4,4が形成されている。
また、外装体2は、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bそれぞれの側縁部2a,2bに、腹側部の側縁部と背側部の側縁部とが互いに接合されていない非接合縁部2a",2b"を有しており、該非接合縁部2a",2b"は、腹側部及び背側部それぞれの側縁部2a,2bにおける、サイドシール部4を形成する部分(以下、接合縁部ともいう)2a',2b'より股下部2C側に形成されている。
おむつ1の吸収性本体3は、図2に示すように、液透過性の表面シート31、液不透過性又は撥水性の裏面シート32、及び両シート31、32間に介在配置された液保持性の吸収性コア33を有しており、おむつ1の縦方向(吸収性物品縦方向)に長い長方形状に形成されている。おむつ1の縦方向(吸収性物品縦方向)は、おむつ1の展開且つ伸長状態(図2参照)において、腹側部2Aから股下部2Cを経て背側部2Bに亘る方向又はその逆方向(図2中X方向)であり、おむつ1の横方向は、その縦方向に直交する方向(図2中Y方向)である。
そして、外装体2の腹側部2Aの側縁部2aの一部2a'と、外装体2の背側部2Bの側縁部2bの一部2b'とが接合されていることによって、おむつ1には、図1のようにサイドシール部4,4(一方のみ図示)、ウエスト開口部5及び一対のレッグ開口部6,6(一方のみ図示)が形成されている。この接合には、例えばヒートシール、高周波シール、超音波シール、接着剤等が用いられる。図1には、ウエスト開口部5に幼児の胴部7a、レッグ開口部6に幼児の脚部7bが挿通された状態が示されている。なお、本実施形態のおむつ1は、おむつ縦方向(X方向)に延びる縦中心線(図示せず)に対して左右対称である。
なお、一対の側縁部2a,2aどうし及び一対の側縁部2b,2bどうしは、それぞれ互いに平行なものに代えて非平行なものであっても良く、例えば、腹側部2A又は背側部2Bの端縁部2dから股下部2C側に向かって、一対の側縁部間の距離が拡大するもの、減少するもの、一旦拡大した後に減少するもの、一旦減少した後に拡大するもの等であっても良い。
腹側部2A及び背側部2Bそれぞれの側縁部2a,2bは、図1及び図2に示すように、腹側部2Aの側縁部2aと背側部2Bの側縁部2bとが互いに接合されてサイドシール部4を形成している部分2a',2b'を有している。非接合縁部2a"、2b"は、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bそれぞれの側縁部2a,2bにおける、サイドシール部4を形成している部分2a',2b'より股下部2C側に形成されている。
以下、腹側部2Aにおける非接合縁部2a",2a"間の領域21a及び背側部2Bにおける非接合縁部2b",2b"間の領域21bを、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bのそれぞれにおいて、サイドシール部4,4間の領域より下方(股下部側)に延出している部分という意味で延出部分21a,21bともいう。
ウエスト伸縮部G1は、おむつ1の縦方向(X方向)において、吸収性本体3の長手方向の端部3a,3bそれぞれより外方に形成されている。延出部分伸縮部G3は、腹側部2Aの延出部分21a及び背側部2Bの延出部分21bに形成されている。胴回り伸縮部G2は、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bのそれぞれにおいて、X方向におけるウエスト伸縮部G1と延出部分伸縮部G3との間に形成されている。胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3は、おむつ1の横方向(Y方向)において、吸収性本体3の長手方向の両側縁それぞれの外方に形成されている。即ち、胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3は、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bそれぞれにおける、少なくとも、吸収性本体3の長手方向の両側縁それぞれより外方に位置する部分において伸縮性を発現する。他方、吸収性本体3と重なる部分においては、製造時に一旦連続的に配された弾性部材24が、伸縮性、特に吸収性本体3の中央部と重なる部分の伸縮性を発現しないように切断されていることが好ましい。なお、図3には、吸収性本体3が配置される位置を2点鎖線で示してある。
腹側部2Aの胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3は、何れも、腹側部2Aの一方の側縁部に、外層シート22と内層シート23との間が接着剤を介して接合された端部固定部27を有しており、また、吸収性本体3の側縁3c位置の近傍に、外層シート22と内層シート23との間が接着剤を介して接合された吸収性本体側固定部28を有している。胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3に配された弾性部材24は、端部固定部27と吸収性本体側固定部28のそれぞれにおいてシート22,23間に固定されている一方、端部固定部27と吸収性本体側固定部28との間においては、シート22,23の何れにも固定されていない。背側部2Bにおける、胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3についても同様である。
また、吸収性本体側固定部28を、吸収性本体3の側縁3cよりおむつ横方向の外方に形成することもできる。
なお、図3は、おむつ1を外層シート22の側からみた図であり、同図に示される吸収性本体3は、内層シート23に固定されている。
なお、レッグ部弾性部材81は、第1及び第2弾性部材81a,81bとからなるものに代えて、腹側部2A、股下部2C及び背側部2Bに亘って連続する一本の弾性部材からなるものであっても良い。また、レッグ部弾性部材81は、おむつ1のX方向の左右両側それぞれに複数本づつ配されていても良い。
また、非接合縁部2a",2b"を有することに起因して、腹側部2A又は背側部2Bそれぞれの非接合縁部間(2a"-2a"間、2b"-2b"間)の収縮応力は、意外にも、腹側部2A又は背側部2Bそれぞれの接合縁部間(2a'-2a'間、2b'-2b'間)に存在するウエスト伸縮部G1や胴回り伸縮部G2の弾性部材24の収縮応力を強めるように機能する。そのため、着用者に対し良好なフィット性が得られ、吸収性物品使用時のズレ抑制に繋がる。
また、同様の観点から、腹側部2Aの非接合縁部2a"の延出長さL5は、腹側部2Aの側縁部2aの長さLaの5~60%、特に20~40%であることが好ましく、背側部2Bの非接合縁部2b"の延出長さL6は、背側部2Bの側縁部2bの長さLbの5~60%、特に20~40%であることが好ましい。
なお、非接合縁部2a",2b"それぞれの延出長さL5,L6は、10mm以上であることが好ましく、20mm以上であることがより好ましい。
幼児用のおむつの場合、非接合縁部2a",2b"それぞれの延出長さL5,L6は、10~100mmであることがより好ましく、更に好ましくは20~70mmである。成人用のおむつの場合、非接合縁部2a",2b"それぞれの延出長さL5,L6は、10~150mmであることがより好ましく、更に好ましくは20~100mmである。
他方、腹側部2A及び背側部2Bの両者に延出部分21a,21bを形成すると共に背側部2Bの延出部分21bの延出長さL6を、腹側部2Aの延出部分21aの延出長さL5よりも長くしても良い。その場合、前記延出長さL6は、前記延出長さL5の1.1~2.5倍の長さとすることが好ましい。
また、背側部2Bの延出部分21bを腹側部2Aの延出部分21aより長くした形態のパンツ型吸収性物品においては、背側部2Bの延出部分21bのみに伸縮性を持たせることも、着用者の後ろ側のフィット性と、外観の向上の観点から好ましい。
先ず、外層シート22の原反である帯状シート及び/又は内層シート23の原反である幅広の帯状シートに、端部固定部27、吸収性本体側固定部28及び凹状固定部82形成用の接着剤を塗工した後、両シートを、両者間に弾性部材24及びレッグ部弾性部材81を伸長状態で介在させた状態に重ね合わせる。そして、その重合体を、周面に接合部26形成用の凸部が形成された加圧ロールと、該加圧ロールと対向配置されたアンビルロールとの間に導入して部分的に加圧及び加熱することにより、上述した多数の接合部26を形成する。そして、吸収体本体側固定部28間に配置された弾性部材24を複数の凸部を有するロールと平坦なロールとの間に導入し、加圧して切断することにより、非伸縮領域を形成しておく。更に、接合部26が形成された外装体連続体の前記非伸縮領域に、吸収性本体3を間欠配置し、その前又は後に、隣り合うおむつの凹状側縁部を合わせた形状の輪郭を有するレッグホールを形成する。
本実施態様の製造方法に関し、特に説明しない点は、従来の、いわゆる横流れ方式のパンツ型使い捨ておむつの製造方法と同様にして製造することができる。
第2実施形態のパンツ型使い捨ておむつについては、第1実施形態との相違点について主として説明し、同様の点については説明を省略する。特に説明しない点は、第1実施形態と同様であり、第1実施形態について上述した説明が適宜適用される。第1実施形態と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付してある。
また、外装体2の股下部2Cにおける吸収性本体3の両側縁それぞれの外方にも、第1実施形態のおむつ1における延出部分伸縮部G3と同様の構成を有する股下部伸縮部G4が形成されている。股下部伸縮部G4には、第1実施形態のおむつ1における延出部分伸縮部G3の接合部26と同様のパターンで、外層シート22と内層シート23との間が接合された多数の接合部(図示略)が形成されおり、複数本の弾性部材83が、それぞれ、縦方向に隣接する接合部26間を通るように配されている。第2実施形態のおむつ1Aにおける股下部伸縮部G4においても、弾性部材83の収縮により、第1実施形態のおむつ1の各伸縮部G1~G3と同様に、シート22又はシート23からなる襞29が生じ、襞29と襞29とに周囲を囲まれた中空部30が形成される(図4参照)。

第3実施形態のおむつにおいては、ウエスト伸縮部G1、胴回り伸縮部G2及び延出部分伸縮部G3のそれぞれに、弾性部材24の収縮によって不規則な凹凸が形成されるが、第1実施形態のような中空部30は形成されない。
第4実施形態のおむつにおいては、ウエスト伸縮部G1、胴回り伸縮部G2、延出部分伸縮部G3及び股下部伸縮部G4のそれぞれに、弾性部材24又は弾性部材83の収縮によって不規則な襞が形成されるが、第1実施形態のような中空部30は形成されない。
そして、内層シート又は外層シートが、互いに交差せずに一方向に延びるように配列した多数の弾性フィラメントが、実質的に非伸長状態で、それらの全長にわたり、伸長可能な不織布に接合されている伸縮シートからなることで、おむつの横方向に伸縮性を有している。
このような伸縮シートとしては、US2010/0075103Aに記載のもの等を用いることができる。この公報を本発明の一部として本明細書に組み入れる。その伸縮シートは、弾性フィラメントが、同一の又は異なる2枚の不織布間に挟持されていることが好ましい。また、弾性フィラメントは、糸状の合成ゴム糸や天然ゴム、或いは乾式紡糸(溶融紡糸)や湿式紡糸によって得られたものであり得る。弾性フィラメントは、これを一旦巻き取ったり、蓄えたりすることなしに直接溶融紡糸によって得られたものが、不織布に固定されていることが好ましい。伸縮シートとして、弾性フィラメントが、長繊維状または短繊維状であってランダムに配向されているものを用いることもできる。
例えば、外層シートと内層シートが、それぞれ、腹側部2A、股下部2C及び背側部2Bに亘って連続する一枚のシートからなる外装体を有するパンツ型使い捨ておむつの外層シート及び/又は内層シートとして、第5実施形態のパンツ型使い捨ておむつに用いた伸縮シートを用いても良い。
また本発明を、吸収性本体を備えないパンツ型の着用部品、例えば使い捨て下着等に適用してもよい。
Claims (6)
- 外装体と外装体の内面側に固定されている吸収性本体とを備え、外装体は、着用者の腹側に配される腹側部と、股間部に配される股下部と、背側に配される背側部とを有し、腹側部の側縁部と背側部の側縁部とが接合されて一対のサイドシール部が形成されているパンツ型吸収性物品であって、
前記外装体は、腹側部及び背側部それぞれの側縁部に、腹側部の側縁部と背側部の側縁部とが互いに接合されていない非接合縁部を有しており、該非接合縁部は、腹側部及び背側部それぞれの側縁部における、前記サイドシール部を形成する部分より股下部側に形成されている、パンツ型吸収性物品。 - 前記外装体は、腹側部及び/又は背側部の非接合縁部間の領域に、吸収性物品横方向の伸縮性を有している、請求項1記載のパンツ型吸収性物品。
- 前記非接合縁部は、前記サイドシール部から股下部側へ延出する延出長さが、該サイドシール部の長さの5~150%である、請求項1又は2記載のパンツ型吸収性物品。
- 腹側部の非接合縁部と背側部の非接合縁部とは、前記サイドシール部から股下部側へ延出する延出長さがほぼ等しい、請求項1~3の何れかに記載のパンツ型吸収性物品。
- 前記外装体は、外層シート、該外層シートの内面側に配された内層シート及びこれら両シート間に配された弾性部材を備えており、外層シート及び/又は内層シートが、腹側部、股下部及び背側部に亘って連続する一枚のシートからなる、請求項1~4の何れかに記載のパンツ型吸収性物品。
- 着用者の腹側に配される腹側部と、股間部に配される股下部と、背側に配される背側部とを有する外装体における腹側部の側縁部と背側部の側縁部とが接合されて一対のサイドシール部が形成されているパンツ型着用物品であって、
前記外装体は、腹側部及び背側部それぞれの側縁部に、腹側部の側縁部と背側部の側縁部とが互いに接合されていない非接合縁部を有しており、該非接合縁部は、腹側部及び背側部それぞれの側縁部における、前記サイドシール部を形成する部分より股下部側に形成されている、パンツ型着用物品。
