Abstract

 停止位置の自己保持機能を有するアクチュエータを備えたレンズユニットを提供する。レンズを保持する保持枠と、固定子に対して直線的に移動する可動子に連結された保持枠を移動させる移動用アクチュエータと、移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生していない場合に、摩擦力を用いて可動子を固定子に対して制動するとともに、移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生した場合に、摩擦力を解放する制動部用アクチュエータとを備えるレンズユニットが提供される。

Description

レンズユニットおよび撮像装置
 本発明は、レンズユニットおよび撮像装置に関する。
 撮像装置の光学系において光学部品を移動させる駆動源のひとつとしてリニアアクチュエータが用いられる。リニアアクチュエータは、コイルおよび永久磁石の一方を固定子に線状に配列して、コイルおよび永久磁石の他方を、固定子に沿って移動する移動子に搭載して形成される(特許文献1参照)。

 リニアアクチュエータにおいて、移動子は円滑に移動する構造を有する。このため、移動子が停止した場合には、移動子の位置に基づく帰還制御等により移動子の停止位置を維持しなければならず、移動子が停止している場合にも電力消費が生じる。また、電源が遮断された場合は、リニアアクチュエータは移動子の位置を維持できない。
 そこで、上記課題を解決すべく、本発明の第一態様として、レンズを保持する保持枠と、固定子に対して直線的に移動する可動子に連結された保持枠を移動させる移動用アクチュエータと、移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生していない場合に、摩擦力を用いて可動子を固定子に対して制動するとともに、移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生した場合に、摩擦力を解放する制動部用アクチュエータとを備えるレンズユニットが提供される。
 また、本発明の第二態様として、上記レンズユニットを備えた撮像装置が提供される。
 上記の発明の概要は、本発明の必要な特徴の全てを列挙したものではない。また、これらの特徴群のサブコンビネーションも発明となり得る。

 以下、発明の実施の形態を通じて本発明を説明するが、以下の実施形態は請求の範囲にかかる発明を限定するものではない。また、実施形態の中で説明されている特徴の組み合わせの全てが発明の解決手段に必須であるとは限らない。
 図1は、撮像装置99全体の構造を示す模式的な断面図である。撮像装置99は、レンズユニット100と撮像部200とを組み合わせて形成される。
 レンズユニット100は、鏡筒110、固定子120、可動子130、案内軸140、被案内部150、保持枠160、絞り装置170および複数のレンズ群102、104、106を備える。レンズ群102、104、106は、共通の光軸Cに沿って配列され、光学系101を形成する。
 鏡筒110は、後述する撮像部200のマウント部260に結合されて撮像部200と一体になる。鏡筒110の内側には、軸状の固定子120および案内軸140が、鏡筒110の長手方向に、互いに並行に固定される。
 一方、複数のレンズ群102、104、106のそれぞれは、保持枠160に個別に保持される。また、ひとつのレンズ群104は、絞り装置170と共に保持枠160に保持される。
 保持枠160の一部または全部は、可動子130、制動部用アクチュエータ136および被案内部150を介して、固定子120および案内軸140から、鏡筒110の長手方向に移動可能に支持される。レンズ群102、104、106の移動により、光学系101の焦点距離および焦点位置が調整される。なお、制動部用アクチュエータ136については、図3および図4を参照して後述する。
 撮像部200は、主鏡240、副鏡242、ペンタプリズム270、接眼光学系290を含む光学系と、焦点検出部230、主制御部250、測光部280等を含む制御系とを備える。主鏡240は、レンズユニット100の光学系101を介して入射した入射光の光路上に位置する待機位置と、当該入射光を避けて上昇する撮影位置(図中に点線で示す)との間を移動する。
 待機位置にある主鏡240の裏面には、副鏡242が配置される。副鏡242は、主鏡240を透過した入射光の一部を、下方に配置された焦点検出部230に導く。これにより、主鏡240が待機位置にある場合は、焦点検出部230が光学系101の合焦状態を検出する。なお、主鏡240が撮影位置に移動した場合は、副鏡242も入射光の光路から退避する。
 また、待機位置にある主鏡240は、入射光に対して傾斜して配され、入射光の殆どを、上方に配置されたフォーカシングスクリーン272に導く。フォーカシングスクリーン272は、光学系101の合焦位置に配され、光学系101により結ばれた像を結像させる。
 フォーカシングスクリーン272に映し出された画像は、ペンタプリズム270を介して接眼光学系290から観察される。これにより、接眼光学系290からは、フォーカシングスクリーン272上の画像を正像として見ることができる。
 ペンタプリズム270および接眼光学系290の間には、ファインダLCD294に形成された表示画像を、フォーカシングスクリーン272の映像に重畳させるハーフミラー292が配置される。これにより、接眼光学系290の出射端においては、フォーカシングスクリーン272の映像と、ファインダLCD294の映像とを併せて見ることができる。なお、ファインダLCD294には、撮像装置99の撮影条件、設定条件、閃光装置のレディライト等の情報が表示される。
 また、ペンタプリズム270の出射光の一部は、測光部280に導かれる。測光部280は、入射光の強度およびその分布等を測定して、撮影条件を決定する場合に測定結果を参照させる。
 撮像部200において、レンズユニット100からの入射光に対して主鏡240の後方には、シャッタ220、光学フィルタ212および撮像素子210が光軸Cに沿って配される。撮像部200のレリーズスイッチが押された場合は、まず、主鏡240が撮影位置に移動して、入射光の光路から退避する。これにより、入射光はシャッタ220に向かって入射する。更に、シャッタ220が開放されると、入射光は直進して撮像素子210に入射される。これにより、光学系101を形成した画像が、撮像素子210において電気信号に変換される。
 なお、撮像部200は、レンズユニット100に対して背面に、外部に面して配されたメインLCD296を備える。メインLCD296は、撮像部200に対する各種の設定情報を表示する他、主鏡240が撮影位置に移動している場合に撮像素子210に形成された画像を表示することもできる。また、撮像素子210により撮像された画像を再生する場合にも用いられる。
 主制御部250は、上記のような動作を総合的に制御する。また、撮像部200側の焦点検出部230が検出した被写体までの距離の情報を参照して、レンズユニット100を駆動するオートフォーカス機構を制御する。
 図2は、レンズユニット100における直動駆動部300の斜視図である。図2は、ひとつのレンズ群106と、レンズ群106を保持した保持枠160を駆動する部材を抜き出して示す。図2において、図1と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。
 直動駆動部300において、レンズ群106を保持する保持枠160は、略円形の枠の対称な位置に一体的に配された可動子130および被案内部150に支持される。可動子130は、保持枠160に対して、制動部用アクチュエータ136を介して結合される。また、可動子130は、固定子120を挿通され、固定子120の延在方向に沿って移動する。被案内部150も、案内軸140を挿通されて、案内軸140に沿って移動する。
 なお、後述するように、保持枠160を移動させる駆動力は、固定子120および可動子130の間で発生される。このため、固定子120には、電力を供給するケーブル121が結合される。
 保持枠160および被案内部150は、可動子130に連れ従って移動する。固定子120および案内軸140は、光学系101の光軸Cと平行に配されるので、保持枠160に保持されたレンズ群106は光軸Cに沿って移動する。
 図3は、直動駆動部300の断面図である。なお、図3は、直動駆動部300が可動子130を駆動していない状態を示す。
 固定子120は、外筒122およびコア128と、複数のコイル124とを有する。可動子130は、可動子本体138と、可動子本体138に対して取り付けられた軸受部132、永久磁石134および制動部用アクチュエータ136を有する。
 固定子120において、外筒122およびコア128は、互いに同軸に配される。複数のコイル124の各々は、外筒122の内側において、コア128の回りに巻かれ、固定子120の長手方向に配列される。なお、直動駆動部300の制御性を向上させるという観点から、外筒122およびコア128は非磁性体であることが好ましい。
 可動子130において、可動子本体138は、固定子120の外径よりも大きな内径を有する。可動子130内面の図中の下側は、軸受部132を有するが、図示の状態では、固定子120から離間する。一方、可動子130内面の上側は、制動面137として、固定子120の上面に接している。これにより、可動子130は、固定子120に対して制動される。
 被案内部150も、案内軸140の外径よりも大きな内径を有して、被案内部150の内面は、案内軸140の表面から離間する。被案内部150の内側両端には一対の軸受部152が配され、被案内部150は、軸受部152を介して案内軸140から支持される。これにより、被案内部150は、案内軸140に沿って円滑に移動する状態にある。
 永久磁石134は、可動子本体138の中程において固定子120を包囲する環状の形状を有する。また、永久磁石134は、固定子120の長手方向の両端において極性が反転するように着磁される。ただし、永久磁石134の向きに特に制限はなく、固定子120の長手方向について、図示の方向と反対に極性が配列されていてもよい。
 制動部用アクチュエータ136は、上面を可動子本体138の下面に結合され、下面を保持枠160に結合される。これにより、保持枠160は、可動子本体138に連結される。制動部用アクチュエータ136は、外部から駆動電圧を印加されて動作した場合に、その厚さを増すが、その状態については図4に示す。
 このように、制動部用アクチュエータ136が動作していない場合、可動子本体138は固定子120に接して、その摩擦力により可動子130の位置を保持する。従って、保持枠160とそれに保持されたレンズ群106も、固定子120に対する位置を保持する。
 制動部用アクチュエータ136は、電圧を印加された場合に厚さを変化させる圧電素子により形成される。即ち、圧電素子を用いて、駆動電圧を印加した場合に制動部用アクチュエータ136が厚さを減じるように形成することができる。これにより、直動駆動部300が可動子130を駆動していない場合は、図示の状態が維持される。
 図4は、動作中の直動駆動部300の断面図である。直動駆動部300が動作する場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ136に対しても駆動電圧が印加される。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ136はその厚さ(高さ)を増し、可動子本体138を、図中の上方に持ち上げる。
 これにより、図示のように、可動子本体138の制動面137は、固定子120の表面から離間する。また、可動子本体138の軸受部132が、固定子120に接する。軸受部132は、可動子本体138および固定子120の間の摺動抵抗を低減するので、可動子130は、固定子120に対して円滑に移動できる状態になる。固定子120に対する可動子130の駆動については、図5から図7までを参照して後述する。
 なお、上記のような動作をする制動部用アクチュエータ136は、加熱された場合に形状を変化させるバイメタルでも形成できる。更に、回復温度まで加熱されて記憶形状を回復する形状記憶合金を用いても、制動部用アクチュエータ136を形成できる。
 バイメタルまたは形状記憶合金は、ヒータ等を併設して供給電力のオンオフにより動作を制御できる。また、固定子120に配されたコイルが発生する熱を制動部用アクチュエータ136に伝播させることにより、直動駆動部300が動作している場合に、制動部用アクチュエータ136による可動子130の制動が同時に解除される制御を自律的に実行させることもできる。
 また、上記の例では、保持枠160の一端を可動子130により駆動して、他端を可動子130に従動する被案内部150とした。しかしながら、一対の可動子130を配して保持枠160を両端で同時に駆動してもよい。その場合は、案内軸140に替えて固定子120を配すべきことはいうまでもない。
 図5は、直動駆動部300の斜視図であり、固定子120および可動子130の内部構造を露出させて示す。図1から図3までと共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。
 固定子120は、コア128に沿って配列された複数のコイル124を有する。コイル124の各々は、駆動電流を供給された場合に個別に磁界を発生する。可動子130において、永久磁石134は、外筒122の外側から、コイル124を包囲する。また、可動子130において、制動部用アクチュエータ136は、固定子120および可動子130の径方向について、可動子130の外側に配される。
 図6は、直動駆動部300の電気的構造を示す模式図である。なお、他の図と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して、重複する説明を省く。
 コイル124はコア128の回りに個別に巻かれ、図中に点線で結んで示すように、U相、V相およびW相の三相に結線される。図示の例では、U相、V相およびW相の三相が3組示されるが、三相あるいは3組に限られないことはいうまでもなく、可動子130に求められる移動距離に応じて配される。また、コイル124の結線も三相結線に限られるわけではなく、三相結線以上または2相結線でもよい。
 図7は、直動駆動部300の制御系301を示すブロック図である。制御系301は、位置算出部320、駆動回路330およびスイッチ制御部340を含む。なお、制御系301は、撮像部200の制御部250に含まれる。
 位置算出部320は、直動駆動部300に配されたエンコーダ310が検出した可動子130の位置を参照して、可動子130を移動させる場合に駆動回路330をオンにする。駆動回路330は、三相指令発生部332および直流電圧発生部334を含む。三相指令発生部332は、コイル124に供給する駆動電流を発生する。直流電圧発生部334は、制動部用アクチュエータ136に印加する駆動電圧を発生する。更に、スイッチ制御部340は、位置算出部320の指示に応じて、三相指令発生部332および直流電圧発生部334を、コイル124または制動部用アクチュエータ136に結合する。
 スイッチSW0が閉じた場合、制動部用アクチュエータ136の駆動電圧は、増幅器350を介して制動部用アクチュエータ136に印加される。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ136の厚さが増加して、可動子本体138が、固定子120の径方向に変位する。これにより、制動面137が固定子120から離間すると共に、可動子本体138は軸受部132を介して固定子120に接する。従って、可動子130は、固定子120に対して円滑に移動し得る状態になる。
 コイル124に対して供給される駆動電流は、制御部250が可動子130の目標位置を示すと、位置算出部320は、エンコーダ310を参照して、目標位置までの距離と方向とに応じた直動駆動部300の駆動量を算出する。三相指令発生部332は、算出結果に応じて、U相、V相およびW相のそれぞれについて駆動電流を発生して、対応する電流増幅器に三相指令値を与える。
 スイッチ制御部340は、位置算出部の算出結果に応じて、スイッチ部Sの複数のスイッチSW1~スイッチSW9をオンオフ制御する。これにより、コイル124のいずれかに電流Iu、Iv、Iwを通電させて、直動駆動部300を動作させる。なお、電流増幅器には、過電流保護のために過電流をセンスする直列抵抗を配置してもよい。
 コイル124に対する駆動電流の供給スケジュールを下記の表1示す。表1において、列方向にはコイル124に対応するスイッチSW1~SW9までのスイッチ番号を、行方向には移動子の目標位置までの距離La(単位mm)を記載する。また、表中の○はコイルへ通電状態を、×は非通電状態をそれぞれ示す。また、マグネット位置の数値は、可動子130の移動方向に係るひとつのコイル124の長さをミリ単位で示す。なお、個々のコイル124の長さは10ミリとする。

 このように、複数のコイル124に、駆動電流を順次供給することにより、永久磁石134を搭載した可動子130を移動させることができる。また、駆動電流を供給するコイル124の順番を反転させることにより、可動子130の移動方向を反転させることもできる。
 更に、いずれかのコイル124に駆動電流が供給されている間、制動部用アクチュエータ136による可動子130の制動が解除されている。これにより、駆動力を受けた可動子130は円滑に移動して、保持枠160を移動させる。
 コイル124のすべてに駆動電流の供給が絶たれた場合、スイッチ制御部340は、スイッチSW0を除く全てのスイッチSW1~SW9を導通状態にする。これにより、直動駆動部300はコイルショートモードとなり、永久磁石134およびコイル124の相対的移動により発生する逆起電流で停止する。
 更に、コイル124のいずれにも駆動電流が供給されていない場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ136に対する駆動電圧も供給されない。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ136は、可動子本体138を変位させ、軸受部132を固定子120から離間させると共に、制動面137を固定子120に当接させ、可動子130を固定子120に対して制動させる。
 この制動は、外部から駆動電力を受けることなく維持されるので、可動子130の停止位置は、電源等のオンオフにかかわらず維持される。また、可動子130を制止することにより、電力が消費されることもない。
 図8は、レンズユニット100の他の構造を示す図である。他の図と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。また、以下に説明する部分を除くと、このレンズユニット100は、図1から図7までに示した実施形態と共通の構造を有する。
 レンズユニット100において、可動子本体138および被案内部150は、それぞれヒンジ部135を介して保持枠160から支持される。ヒンジ部135の一端は、保持枠160外周と一体となり、ヒンジ部135の他端は、可動子本体138または被案内部150と一体となる。
 また、ヒンジ部135は、可動子本体138および被案内部150のそれぞれを、レンズ群106の光軸Cに向かって近づける方向に付勢する。これにより、可動子本体138の制動面137は、固定子120に押し付けられ、制動力を発生する。被案内部150の内面にも制動面137が配され、案内軸140に当接する。これにより、制動力は更に大きくなり、レンズ群106の位置が安定に保持される。
 一対の制動部用アクチュエータ136は、保持枠160と、可動子本体138または被案内部150との間に配される。制動部用アクチュエータ136は、動作した場合に、可動子本体138および被案内部150を、レンズ群106の光軸から遠ざける方向に移動させる。従って、制動部用アクチュエータ136が動作した場合、可動子本体138および被案内部150の制動面137の各々は、固定子120および案内軸140から離間して、制動面137による制動は解除される。
 これにより、可動子本体138および被案内部150は、固定子120および案内軸140に対して円滑に移動できる状態になる。なお、上記のような動作に鑑みて、被案内部150の内面においても、光軸Cから遠い側の面では軸受部152が省かれる。このような構造では、可動子本体138および被案内部150は、ヒンジ部135により保持枠160に対して位置決めされるので、制動部用アクチュエータ136の変形の如何にかかわらず位置決めが安定する。
 また、ヒンジ部135は、レンズ群106の光軸Cに対して対称に配される。更に、制動部用アクチュエータ136が動作した場合のヒンジ部135の変位も、光軸Cに対して対称になる。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ136の動作状態の如何に関わらず光軸Cが変位することがなく、レンズユニット100の光学性能を保つことができる。
 図9は、レンズユニット100のまた他の構造を示す断面図である。図9は、光軸Cに直交する断面を示す。また、図9において、他の実施形態と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。このレンズユニット100は、制動部用アクチュエータ136が、可動子本体138とレンズユニット100の鏡筒110との間に配されている点に独特の構造を有する。
 制動部用アクチュエータ136は、図3を参照して説明したものと変わらず、外部から駆動電圧を供給されていない場合は、一方の面を可動子本体138に固定され、他方の面を鏡筒110の内面に押し付けている。これにより、可動子本体138が押し下げられ、制動面137が固定子120に押し付けられる。従って、可動子130は、固定子120に対して制動される。
 可動子130が固定子120に対して移動する場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ136が駆動されて、鏡筒110の径方向について制動部用アクチュエータ136の厚さが減少する。これにより、可動子130は、鏡筒110に対する制動を解除され、固定子120または案内軸140に沿って円滑に移動する。
 なお、制動部用アクチュエータ136として、圧電素子、バイメタル、形状記憶合金等を用い得ることは、他の実施形態と変わらない。また、制動部用アクチュエータ136の配置を除けば、固定子120および可動子130の構造も変わらない。
 図10は、他の撮像装置499全体の構造を示す模式的な断面図である。撮像装置499は、レンズユニット500と撮像部600とを組み合わせて形成される。
 レンズユニット500は、鏡筒510、固定子520、可動子530、案内軸540、被案内部550、保持枠560、絞り装置570および複数のレンズ群502、504、506を備える。レンズ群502、504、506は、共通の光軸Cに沿って配列され、光学系501を形成する。
 鏡筒510は、後述する撮像部600のマウント部660に結合されて撮像部600と一体になる。鏡筒510の内側には、軸状の固定子520および案内軸540が、鏡筒510の長手方向に、互いに並行に固定される。
 一方、複数のレンズ群502、504、506のそれぞれは、保持枠560に個別に保持される。また、ひとつのレンズ群504は、絞り装置570と共に保持枠560に保持される。保持枠560の一部または全部は、可動子530または被案内部550を介して、固定子520および案内軸540から、鏡筒510の長手方向に移動可能に支持される。レンズ群502、504、506の移動により、光学系501の焦点距離および焦点位置が調整される。
 撮像部600は、主鏡640、副鏡642、ペンタプリズム670、接眼光学系690を含む光学系と、焦点検出部630、主制御部650、測光部680等を含む制御系とを備える。主鏡640は、レンズユニット500の光学系501を介して入射した入射光の光路上に位置する待機位置と、当該入射光を避けて上昇する撮影位置(図中に点線で示す)との間を移動する。
 待機位置にある主鏡640の裏面には、副鏡642が配置される。副鏡642は、主鏡640を透過した入射光の一部を、下方に配置された焦点検出部630に導く。これにより、主鏡640が待機位置にある場合は、焦点検出部630が光学系501の合焦状態を検出する。なお、主鏡640が撮影位置に移動した場合は、副鏡642も入射光の光路から退避する。
 また、待機位置にある主鏡640は、入射光に対して傾斜して配され、入射光の殆どを、上方に配置されたフォーカシングスクリーン672に導く。フォーカシングスクリーン672は、光学系501の合焦位置に配され、光学系501により結ばれた像を結像させる。
 フォーカシングスクリーン672に映し出された画像は、ペンタプリズム670を介して接眼光学系690から観察される。これにより、接眼光学系690からは、フォーカシングスクリーン672上の画像を正像として見ることができる。
 ペンタプリズム670および接眼光学系690の間には、ファインダLCD694に形成された表示画像を、フォーカシングスクリーン672の映像に重畳させるハーフミラー692が配置される。これにより、接眼光学系690の出射端においては、フォーカシングスクリーン672の映像と、ファインダLCD694の映像とを併せて見ることができる。なお、ファインダLCD694には、撮像装置499の撮影条件、設定条件、閃光装置のレディライト等の情報が表示される。
 また、ペンタプリズム670の出射光の一部は、測光部680に導かれる。測光部680は、入射光の強度およびその分布等を測定して、撮影条件を決定する場合に測定結果を参照させる。
 撮像部600において、レンズユニット500からの入射光に対して主鏡640の後方には、シャッタ620、光学フィルタ612および撮像素子610が光軸Cに沿って配される。撮像部600のレリーズスイッチが押された場合は、まず、主鏡640が撮影位置に移動して、入射光の光路から退避する。これにより、入射光はシャッタ620に向かって入射する。更に、シャッタ620が開放されると、入射光は直進して撮像素子610に入射される。これにより、光学系501を形成した画像が、撮像素子610において電気信号に変換される。
 なお、撮像部600は、レンズユニット500に対して背面に、外部に面して配されたメインLCD696を備える。メインLCD696は、撮像部600に対する各種の設定情報を表示する他、主鏡640が撮影位置に移動している場合に撮像素子610に形成された画像を表示することもできる。また、撮像素子610により撮像された画像を再生する場合にも用いられる。
 主制御部650は、上記のような動作を総合的に制御する。また、撮像部600側の焦点検出部630が検出した被写体までの距離の情報を参照して、レンズユニット500を駆動するオートフォーカス機構を制御する。
 図11は、レンズユニット500における直動駆動部700の斜視図である。図11は、ひとつのレンズ群506と、レンズ群506を保持した保持枠560を駆動する部材を抜き出して示す。図11において、図10と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。
 直動駆動部700において、レンズ群506を保持する保持枠560は、略円形の枠の対称な位置に一体的に配された可動子530および被案内部550に支持される。可動子530は、固定子520を挿通され、固定子520の延在方向に沿って移動する。被案内部550も、案内軸540を挿通されて、案内軸540に沿って移動する。
 なお、後述するように、保持枠560を移動させる駆動力は、固定子520および可動子530の間で発生される。このため、固定子520には、電力を供給するケーブル521が結合される。
 保持枠560および被案内部550は、可動子530に連れ従って移動する。固定子520および案内軸540は、光学系501の光軸Cと平行に配されるので、保持枠560に保持されたレンズ群506は光軸Cに沿って移動する。
 図12は、直動駆動部700の断面図である。固定子520は、外筒522およびコア528と、複数のコイル524とを有する。可動子530は、可動子本体538と、可動子本体538に対して取り付けられた軸受部532、永久磁石534および制動部用アクチュエータ536を有する。
 固定子520において、外筒522およびコア528は、互いに同軸に配される。複数のコイル524の各々は、外筒522の内側において、コア528の回りに巻かれ、固定子520の長手方向に配列される。なお、直動駆動部700の制御性を向上させるという観点から、外筒522およびコア528は非磁性体であることが好ましい。
 可動子530において、可動子本体538は、固定子520の外径よりも大きな内径を有して、可動子530の内面は固定子520から離間する。可動子530の内側両端には一対の軸受部532が配され、可動子530は、軸受部532を介して固定子520から支持される。これにより、可動子530は、固定子520に沿って円滑に移動する。
 被案内部550も、案内軸540の外径よりも大きな内径を有して、被案内部550の内面は、案内軸540の表面から離間する。被案内部550の内側両端には一対の軸受部552が配され、被案内部550は、軸受部552を介して案内軸540から支持される。これにより、被案内部550は、案内軸540に沿って円滑に移動する。
 永久磁石534は、可動子本体538の中程において固定子520を包囲する環状の形状を有する。また、永久磁石534は、固定子520の長手方向の両端において極性が反転するように着磁される。ただし、永久磁石534の向きに特に制限はなく、固定子520の長手方向について、図示の方向と反対に極性が配列されていてもよい。
 一対の制動部用アクチュエータ536は、上面を可動子本体538に固定され、下面を固定子520の外面に接する。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ536の表面が制動部となり、その摩擦力により、可動子530は固定子520に対して固定される。
 また、制動部用アクチュエータ536は、外部から制御されて動作して厚さを減じる。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ536の一方の面は固定子520の表面から離間して、可動子530が固定子520に沿って移動することを妨げなくなる。
 このように、制動部用アクチュエータ536は、直動駆動部700において可動子530が固定子520に対して移動している期間は、可動子530の固定子520に対する制動を解除する。また、直動駆動部700における可動子の固定子520に対する移動が停止した場合には、可動子530を固定子520に対して固定する。これにより、可動子530が停止した場合は、その位置が保持される。
 制動部用アクチュエータ536は、例えば、電圧を印加された場合に厚さを変化させる圧電素子をアクチュエータとして形成できる。即ち、圧電素子を用いて、駆動電圧を印加した場合に制動部用アクチュエータ536が厚さを減じるように形成することができる。これにより、直動駆動部700が可動子530を駆動していない場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ536が制動部として可動子530の位置を保持する。
 これにより、直動駆動部700においてが可動子530を移動させていない場合は、電力等を供給することなく、可動子530は、自律的にその停止位置を保持する。また、直動駆動部700において可動子530が駆動されている場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ536に並列的に駆動電圧を印加して、制動部用アクチュエータ536による可動子530の制動が解除されるので、可動子530は円滑に移動する。
 なお、上記のような動作をする制動部用アクチュエータ536は、加熱された場合に形状を変化させるバイメタルでも形成できる。更に、回復温度まで加熱されて記憶形状を回復する形状記憶合金を用いても、制動部用アクチュエータ536を形成できる。
 バイメタルまたは形状記憶合金は、ヒータ等を併設して供給電力のオンオフにより制御できる。また、固定子520に配されたコイルが発生する熱により動作させることにより、直動駆動部700が動作している場合に、制動部用アクチュエータ536による可動子530の制動が同時に解除される制御を自律的に実行させることもできる。
 なお、上記の例では、保持枠560の一端を可動子530により駆動して、他端を可動子530に従動する被案内部550としたが、一対の可動子530を配して保持枠560を駆動してもよい。その場合に、案内軸540に替えて固定子520を配すべきことはいうまでもない。
 図13は、直動駆動部700の斜視図であり、固定子520および可動子530の内部構造を露出させて示す。図10から図12までと共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。
 固定子520は、コア528に沿って配列された複数のコイル524を有する。コイル524の各々は、駆動電流を供給された場合に個別に磁界を発生する。可動子530において、永久磁石534は、外筒522の外側から、コイル524を包囲する。また、可動子530において、制動部用アクチュエータ536は、可動子530の移動方向について永久磁石534の前後に配される。
 図14は、直動駆動部700の電気的構造を示す模式図である。なお、他の図と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して、重複する説明を省く。
 コイル524はコア528の回りに個別に巻かれ、図中に点線で結んで示すように、U相、V相およびW相の三相に結線される。図示の例では、U相、V相およびW相の三相が3組示されるが、三相あるいは3組に限られないことはいうまでもなく、可動子530に求められる移動距離に応じて配される。また、コイル524の結線も三相結線に限られるわけではなく、三相結線以上または2相結線でもよい。
 図15は、直動駆動部700の制御系701を示すブロック図である。制御系701は、位置算出部720、駆動回路730およびスイッチ制御部740を含む。なお、制御系701は、撮像部600の制御部650に含まれる。
 位置算出部720は、直動駆動部700に配されたエンコーダ710が検出した可動子530の位置を参照して、可動子530を移動させる場合に駆動回路730をオンにする。駆動回路730は、三相指令発生部732および直流電圧発生部734を含む。三相指令発生部732は、コイル524に供給する駆動電流を発生する。直流電圧発生部734は、制動部用アクチュエータ536に印加する駆動電圧を発生する。更に、スイッチ制御部740は、位置算出部720の指示に応じて、三相指令発生部732および直流電圧発生部734を、コイル524または制動部用アクチュエータ536に結合する。
 スイッチSW0が閉じた場合、制動部用アクチュエータ536の駆動電圧は、反転増幅器750により極性を反転された上で制動部用アクチュエータ536に印加される。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ536の厚さが減少して、制動部用アクチュエータ536の一方の面から、固定子520の表面から離間する。これにより、後述するコイル524のいずれかに駆動電流が供給されている期間は、可動子530が円滑に移動し得る状態になる。
 コイル524に対して供給される駆動電流は、制御部650が可動子530の目標位置を示すと、位置算出部720は、エンコーダ710を参照して、目標位置までの距離と方向とに応じた直動駆動部700の駆動量を算出する。三相指令発生部732は、算出結果に応じて、U相、V相およびW相のそれぞれについて駆動電流を発生して、対応する電流増幅器に三相指令値を与える。
 スイッチ制御部740は、位置算出部の算出結果に応じて、スイッチ部Sの複数のスイッチSW1~スイッチSW9をオンオフ制御する。これにより、コイル524のいずれかに電流Iu、Iv、Iwを通電させて、直動駆動部700を動作させる。なお、電流増幅器には、過電流保護のために過電流をセンスする直列抵抗を配置してもよい。
 コイル524に対する駆動電流の供給スケジュールは、上記表1の通りである。
 このように、複数のコイル524に、駆動電流を順次供給することにより、永久磁石534を搭載した可動子530を移動させることができる。また、駆動電流を供給するコイル524の順番を反転させることにより、可動子530の移動方向を反転させることもできる。
 更に、いずれかのコイル524に駆動電流が供給されている間、制動部用アクチュエータ536による可動子530の制動が解除されている。これにより、駆動力を受けた可動子530は円滑に移動して、保持枠560を移動させる。
 コイル524のすべてに駆動電流の供給が絶たれた場合、スイッチ制御部740は、スイッチSW0を除く全てのスイッチSW1~SW9を導通状態にする。これにより、直動駆動部700はコイルショートモードとなり、永久磁石534およびコイル524の相対的移動により発生する逆起電流で停止する。
 更に、コイル524のいずれにも駆動電流が供給されていない場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ536を開放している駆動電圧も供給されない。これにより、制動部用アクチュエータ536は、可動子530および固定子520の双方に接して、可動子530を制動する。この制動は、外部から駆動電力を受けることなく維持されるので、可動子530の停止位置は、電源等のオンオフにかかわらず維持される。また、可動子530を制止することにより、電力を消費することもない。
 図16は、レンズユニット500の他の構造を示す断面図である。図16は、光軸Cに直交する断面を示す。また、図16において、他の実施形態と共通の要素には同じ参照番号を付して重複する説明を省く。このレンズユニット500は、可動子530の制動部用アクチュエータ536が、可動子本体538と、鏡筒510との間に配されている点に独特の構造を有する。
 制動部用アクチュエータ536自体の構造は、図12を参照して説明したものと変わらず、外部から駆動されていない場合は、一方の面を可動子本体538に固定され、他方の面を鏡筒510の内面に押し付けている。これにより、可動子530および被案内部550は、それぞれ鏡筒510の内面に対し広い面積で制動されて移動しない。
 また、可動子530が固定子520に対して移動する場合は、制動部用アクチュエータ536が駆動されて、鏡筒510の径方向について制動部用アクチュエータ536の厚さが減少される。これにより、可動子530および被案内部550は、鏡筒510に対する制動を解除され、固定子520または案内軸540に沿って円滑に移動する。
 なお、制動部用アクチュエータ536として、圧電素子、バイメタル、形状記憶合金等を用い得ることは、他の実施形態と変わらない。また、制動部用アクチュエータ536の配置を除けば、固定子520および可動子530の構造も変わらない。
 以上、本発明を実施の形態を用いて説明したが、本発明の技術的範囲は上記実施の形態に記載の範囲には限定されない。上記実施の形態に、多様な変更または改良を加えることが可能であることが当業者に明らかである。その様な変更または改良を加えた形態も本発明の技術的範囲に含まれ得ることが、請求の範囲の記載から明らかである。

Claims (12)

  1.  レンズを保持する保持枠と、
     固定子に対して直線的に移動する可動子に連結された前記保持枠を移動させる移動用アクチュエータと、
     前記移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生していない場合に、摩擦力を用いて前記可動子を前記固定子に対して制動するとともに、前記移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生した場合に、前記摩擦力を解放する制動部用アクチュエータと
     を備えるレンズユニット。
  2.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、電圧を印加されて伸張または収縮する圧電素子を含む請求項1に記載のレンズユニット。
  3.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、前記移動用アクチュエータと並列に供給された電力により動作する請求項2に記載のレンズユニット。
  4.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、加熱されて変形するバイメタルを含む請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載のレンズユニット。
  5.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、回復温度に加熱されて記憶形状を回復する形状記憶合金を含む請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載のレンズユニット。
  6.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、前記移動用アクチュエータから伝播した熱により動作する請求項4または請求項5に記載のレンズユニット。
  7.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、前記移動用アクチュエータと並列に供給された電力で昇温するヒータにより動作する請求項4または請求項5に記載のレンズユニット。
  8.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、前記移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生していない場合に、前記可動子および前記固定子を相互に押し付けて、前記可動子と前記固定子との間に摩擦力を生じさせる制御部を有する請求項1に記載のレンズユニット。
  9.  前記制動部は、弾性部材により生じる付勢力により前記可動子を前記固定子に対して押し付ける請求項8に記載のレンズユニット。
  10.  前記制動部用アクチュエータは、前記移動用アクチュエータが駆動力を発生していない場合に、前記可動子および前記固定子の両方に接して、前記可動子との間、および、前記固定子との間に摩擦力を生じさせる制動部を有する請求項1に記載のレンズユニット。
  11.  前記制動部は、弾性部材により生じる付勢力により前記可動子を前記固定子に対して制動する請求項10に記載のレンズユニット。
  12.  請求項1から請求項11までのいずれかに記載のレンズユニットを備える撮像装置。
