Abstract
Dargestellt und beschrieben ist ein Verbrennungsmotor (1) mit einer Kurbelwelle, mit wenigstens einem in einem Kompressionszylinder (4) verschiebbar aufgenommenen Kompressionskolben (5) und mit wenigstens einem in einem Arbeitszylinder (6) verschiebbar aufgenommenen Arbeitskolben (7), wobei die Bewegung des Kompressionskolbens (5) und die Bewegung des Arbeitskolbens (7) kinematisch an die Bewegung der Kurbelwelle gekoppelt sind, so daß sich der Kompressionskolben (5) während einer einzigen Umdrehung der Kurbelwelle um einen Ansaughub und einen Kompressionshub eines Viertaktzyklus hin- und herbewegt und daß sich der Arbeitskolben (7) während einer einzigen Umdrehung der Kurbelwelle um einen Arbeitshub und einen Auspuffhub desselben Viertaktzyklus hin- und herbewegt, wobei der Kompressionszylinder (4) wenigstens ein Einlaßventil (8) zum Ansaugen von Luft in den Kompressionszylinder (4) bei einer Abwärtsbewegung des Kompressionskolbens (5) und der Arbeitszylinder (6) wenigstens ein Auslaßventil (9) zum Ausstoßen von Verbrennungsgasen aus dem Arbeitszylinder (6) bei einer Aufwärtsbewegung des Arbeitskolbens (7) aufweist.
