Definitions
- the present invention relates to a jet pump that is provided in a reactor pressure vessel of a boiling water reactor and forcibly circulates cooling water in the reactor pressure vessel, and more particularly to a vibration suppression technique for this jet pump.
- an inlet mixer pipe and a diffuser pipe of a jet pump used in a boiling water reactor are connected to each other by inserting the inlet mixer pipe with a gap from the upper end opening of the diffuser pipe.
- This is a so-called slip joint structure.
- the gap in the slip joint structure absorbs structural deformation due to thermal expansion and functions as an adjustment allowance when connecting members.
- a gap flow path for the coolant is formed in which the pressure-feeding coolant that moves from the inlet mixer pipe to the diffuser pipe overflows from the gap. It is known that when the gap flow flowing through the gap flow path becomes a specific flow rate, a large amplitude vibration called self-excited vibration that may cause damage to the jet pump appears. If even minute vibration that does not reach self-excited vibration continues for a long period of time, the support performance of the inlet mixer pipe may be reduced or lost due to, for example, sliding wear at the joint between the wedge and the riser bracket. There is sex. This deterioration of the support performance leads to an increase in the clearance of the sliding joint structure, that is, an increase in the flow rate of the clearance flow, and thus increases the possibility of self-excited vibration.
- a reinforcer for suppressing vibration or wear is provided at the mutual joint between the wedge and the riser bracket (for example, see Patent Document 1).

None of these vibration suppression structures are intended for direct suppression of the self-excited vibration caused by the gap flow described above, depending on the distance between the vibration suppression structure and the connection portion between the inlet mixer pipe and the diffuser pipe. As a result, the suppression effect of self-excited vibration is reduced.

- the horizontal axis indicates the channel expansion ratio ⁇ in logarithm
- the vertical axis indicates the critical gap flow rate.
- This limit gap flow rate is a flow rate at which self-excited vibration is likely to occur.
- the critical gap flow rate becomes extremely large, and even if the gap flow path of the pumped cooling water is an enlarged gap flow path, self-excited vibration It turns out that it is hard to generate.

Abstract
