- the power control unit 608 is composed of a transistor Q6 and a diode D4 to limit the power supply to the remote control receiver 602 to minimize the current consumption of the charging power supply 604 in the power off state.
- the rechargeable power supply (or rechargeable battery) 604 includes a rechargeable battery and diodes D1 and D2 for supplying power to the remote control receiver to detect a remote controller signal when the power is off.
- the charging power supply 604 supplies power for driving the touch switch 607 when the power is off.
- the solar cell charging unit 609 includes a current backflow preventing diode D5 and a solar cell so as to charge the charging power supply 604 by light.
- the state determination unit 605 is composed of a resistor R6 and a resistor R7 to determine the state of the phase change.
- the current drive stage 606 is composed of transistors Q3, Q4, Q5, and Q7 so that the solenoid terminal 109 can be driven with a different polarity when the power is turned on or off.
- the microcomputer U2 does not always wake up at the power-off state but periodically wakes up.
- the state in which the microcomputer U2 is awake is called a wake-up mode
- the state in which the microcomputer U2 is not awake is called a sleep mode.
- the microcomputer U2 is put into a sleep mode to minimize current consumption. Because, when the microcomputer is in the wake-up mode, the reception sensor of the remote control receiver 602 should always maintain a state capable of receiving a signal from the remote control, at which time the reception sensor typically consumes 1.5 mA. This is because the power supply of the charging power supply 604 is quickly exhausted.
- the output O4 of the microcomputer U2 when the output O4 of the microcomputer U2 is set to only 50 msec in one second, the transistor Q6 is turned on only 50 msec so that the battery can be applied to a battery having a small capacity. Therefore, since the microcomputer U2 wakes up every 50 msec, the receiving sensor senses a signal from the remote controller every 50 msec. At this time, the signal transmitted from the remote control to the receiving sensor should be a continuous signal of 50msec or more.
- the microcomputer U2 may extend the service life of the battery for supplying power to the remote control receiver 602 by putting the power supply to the reception sensor in the sleep mode. In addition, if the power is turned on at least once within 20 months, the rechargeable battery is controlled to be charged.
- the microcomputer U2 wakes up from the sleep mode and keeps the microcomputer output O4 high to cut off the power from the rechargeable battery 604. Then, power is continuously supplied to the remote control receiver 602 through the diode D4 so that the reception sensor senses a signal.
- the remote controllers currently used generate a signal when the power switch is pressed once, but when the power is 'on', the receiver wakes up only 50msec, which may cause a malfunction if the timing is not corrected. It will be possible to control without malfunction.
- the rechargeable power supply 604 supplies power to the microcomputer U2, the remote controller receiver 602, and the touch switch capacitor 607 through the diode D1 only when the power supply is turned off.
- power is supplied through the diode D3 and the diode D1 is reverse biased to cut off the power supply from the rechargeable battery 604.
- the phase change is supplied, it is charged through the diode D2 as much as it is discharged with the rechargeable battery.
- the rechargeable battery 604 may be charged by sunlight or an electric light.
- the resistor R6 and the resistor R7 are connected in series to the input I1 of the microcomputer U2. If the input I1 of the microcomputer U2 is high, the microcomputer U2 may determine that the microcomputer U2 is in a phase change state (power on state).
- the microcomputer U2 checks whether the input I1 is high or low. If the input I1 is low, the transistor Q7 and the transistor Q5 are turned on by making the output O2 of the microcomputer high for a predetermined time. At this time, the polarity of the solenoid coil terminal 109 of the standby power cut-off switch 100 is "+" in r, "-” in s so that the solenoid and the magnet 112 have the opposite polarity. Then, a strong attraction force acts between the solenoid and the magnet 112, and the core 111 including the magnet pulls a striker and contacts the contact 1 (107), the contact 2 (108), and the contact 3 (121). Power is supplied by the four 122 contacts.
- the transistor Q3 and the transistor Q4 are turned on by making the microcomputer output O3 'high' for a predetermined time.
- the polarity of the solenoid coil terminal 109 of the standby power cutoff switch 100 is "-" for r and "+” for s so that the solenoid and the magnet 112 have the same polarity.
- a repulsion force is generated between the solenoid and the magnet so that the core 111 including the magnet pushes the striker, and the contact 1 107 and the contact 2 108 and the contact 3 121 are formed.
- the contact 4 122 is separated and the power is cut off.
- an electronic product driven by a touch switch, a remote controller, and a knob switch is illustrated.
- the reason why the knob switch is provided together with the touch switch is that even when the rechargeable battery 604 is completely discharged and the touch switch cannot be used, when the knob 103 of the standby power cut-off switch 100 is pressed, the power supply is stopped. Because it is possible.
- the diode D5 and the capacitor C20 are configured to be connected to the state determining unit 605 and the current drive terminal 606 to cut off standby power.
- the diode D5 and the capacitor C20 will be referred to as capacitive blocking devices.
- the resistors R6 and R7 go low, and the microcomputer reads this to operate the solenoid so that the standby power cutoff switch is opened.
- the diode D5 serves to prevent the voltage charged in the capacitor from being discharged during a power failure, and the capacity of the capacitor C20 is determined as the capacity for the microcomputer to determine the power failure and operate the solenoid during the power failure.
- FIG. 8 is a flowchart illustrating a control flow for blocking standby power when power is turned on by a touch switch according to one embodiment of the present invention.
- the above-described standby power cut-off method is equally applicable not only to turning on a remote controller but also to turning on a touch switch. That is, when the touch switch consumes only about 1 ms in the sleep mode, when the touch is made, the interrupt IRQ becomes high and the microcomputer wakes up to perform the aforementioned power-on process.
- the interrupt terminal IRQ of the microcomputer U2 is connected to the touch switch 607 to sense the power-on signal. When an interrupt is applied to the interrupt terminal IRQ, the microcomputer U2 outputs the output O2 high.
- FIG 9 illustrates a control flow of the standby power cutoff device according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- a control method for cutting off standby power in an electronic product driven by software such as an OS operating system will be described.
- step 905 the electronic product is turned on in step 901.
- step 902 the electronic product performs a normal operation. If the electronic device is turned off in step 903, the flow moves on to step 904.
- step 905 the process proceeds to step 905 to store the data processed so far.
- step 906 determines whether the power is turned off by the switch through the knob. That is, it is checked whether the tack switch power is turned off through the knob. If the tack switch power is turned off, the flow proceeds to step 905 to complete data storage.
- step 907 When the data storage is completed, go to step 907 to check whether the tack switch contact is open. This is to prevent hunting by supplying power again when the knob is depressed even if the current is supplied to the solenoid while the contact of the tack switch is attached. In addition, when the power is turned off by the switch, it is checked whether data storage is completed and whether the tack switch contact is opened. Only when the tack switch contact is opened, the flow proceeds to step 908 to supply current to the solenoid. When the current is supplied to the solenoid, the standby power cut-off device is operated in step 909 to cut off the main power and standby power of the electronic product.
- FIG. 10 is a flowchart illustrating a control flow of a standby power cutoff device according to another embodiment of the present invention.

- step 1040 When the electronic device is powered off by the remote controller in step 1004, it is determined whether the signal received from the remote controller is continuously received for a predetermined time T or more in step 1005.
- step 1006 determines whether the power is turned off by the switch through the knob. That is, it is checked whether the tack switch power is turned off through the knob. If the tack switch power is turned off, the flow proceeds to step 1005 to determine whether a power supply signal of T or more, which is a predetermined time, is received, and then the power off mode is determined.
- the standby mode and the power-off signal which do not completely shut off the power of an electronic device such as an air conditioner or a TV, and consume only the minimum standby power, have a predetermined time.
- the air conditioner is not required for the heating season
- the standby power is controlled to be completely cut off, and when the short power off signal is transmitted, the standby mode is operated.
- the CPU or controller of the electronic product may receive the power off signal to determine the operation mode.
- step 1005 it is checked whether the tack switch contact is open. This is to prevent hunting when the current is supplied to the solenoid while the contact of the tack switch is attached, even if the power is cut off, the power is supplied again when the knob is pressed.
- step 1008 to supply current to the solenoid.
- the standby power cut-off device is operated in step 1009 to cut off the main power and standby power of the electronic product. If a short power off signal of less than a predetermined time T is input in step 1005, the controller 10 moves to step 1010 to operate in a standby mode. In operation 1011, when the power of the electronic device is turned on with a remote controller or a switch, the normal operation is performed again.
- step 1012 it is determined whether a power-off signal through a remote controller or a tack switch is input.
- step 1013 it is determined whether the power-off signal by the remote controller or the tack switch is input for a predetermined time T or more. If the power-off signal is input for a predetermined time or more, the method moves to step 1007, and otherwise, to step 1010. After moving to step 1007, the above-described operation is repeated.
