Description
上記ベルト本体の少なくともプーリ接触部分は、エチレン-α-オレフィンエラストマーを含む原料ゴム100質量部に対し、スメクタイト族及びバーミキュライト族から選ばれる少なくとも一種の層状珪酸塩が30~80質量部配合されたゴム組成物で形成されている。

層状珪酸塩は、粒径が0.05~120μmであることが好ましく、0.5~80μmであることがより好ましい。層状珪酸塩は、原料ゴム100質量部に対する配合量が30~80質量部であり、30~60質量部であることが好ましく、30~45質量部であることがより好ましい。
(ゴム組成物)
以下のゴム組成物1~21を調製した。それぞれの構成を表1及び2にも示す。
EPDM(三井化学社製 商品名:EPT3045)を原料ゴムとし、その原料ゴム100質量部に対して、HAFカーボンブラック(東海カーボン社製 商品名:シーストSO)60質量部、モンモリロナイト(ホージュン社製 商品名:ベンゲルA、膨潤力:46ml/2g、陽イオン交換容量:94meg/100g)30質量部、酸化亜鉛(堺化学工業社製 商品名:亜鉛華2号)5質量部、老化防止剤(大内新興化学社製 商品名:ノクラックMB)2質量部、パラフィン系オイル(出光興産社製 商品名:ダイアナプロセスオイルPS-90)10質量部、硫黄(細井化学社製 商品名:オイルサルファー)2.3質量部、加硫促進剤(三新化学社製 商品名:TET、EZ、MSA)1.4質量部、及び短繊維(旭化成社製 商品名:レオナ66、繊維長1mm)30質量部を配合して密閉式混練機で約5分間混練して得た未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物1とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにヘクトライト(クニミネ工業社製 商品名:スメクトンHE)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物2とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して45質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物3とした。
HAFカーボンブラック及びモンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対してそれぞれ55質量部及び45質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物4とした。
HAFカーボンブラック及びモンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対してそれぞれ60質量部及び60質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物5とした。
HAFカーボンブラック及びモンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対してそれぞれ50質量部及び60質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物6とした。
HAFカーボンブラック及びモンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対してそれぞれ45質量部及び80質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物7とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにカオリナイト(白石カルシウム工業社製 商品名:ハードトップクレー)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物8とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにタルク(日本タルク社製 商品名:ミクロエースP-8、表面処理品)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物9とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに酸化マグネシウム(協和化学工業社製 商品名:MgO-EL)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物10とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに亜鉛粉末(白水テック社製 商品名:亜鉛末R)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物11とした。
モンモリロナイト及びパラフィン系オイルの代わりに可塑剤(ADEKA社製 商品名:アデカサイザーRS700)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物12とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに界面活性剤(ラインケミージャパン社製 商品名:アフラックス54)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物13とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに吸水性樹脂1(住友精化社製 商品名:アクアキープ10SH-NF)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物14とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに吸水性樹脂2(住友精化社製 商品名:アクアコークTWB)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物15とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して3質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物16とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して15質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物17とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して25質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物18とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して90質量部としたことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物19とした。
モンモリロナイトを配合していないことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物20とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに炭酸カルシウム(白石カルシウム工業社製 商品名:白艶華CC)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いてゴム組成物1と同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物をゴム組成物21とした。
ゴム組成物1~7を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成したVリブドベルトをそれぞれ実施例1~7とした。また、ゴム組成物8~21を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成したVリブドベルトをそれぞれ比較例1~14とした。
<質量変化率>
ゴム組成物1~21のそれぞれについて、JIS K6258に準じた試験片を加硫成型し、それを蒸留水に1分間及び10時間両面浸漬する試験を行い、JIS K6258に準じた計算方法により質量変化率を算出した。
図3は被水時異音評価用ベルト走行試験機30のプーリレイアウトを示す。
図4は耐熱耐久性評価用ベルト走行試験機40のプーリレイアウトを示す。
図5は摩耗性評価用ベルト走行試験機50のプーリレイアウトを示す。
試験結果を表3及び4に示す。
(Vリブドベルト)
以下の実施例8及び9並びに比較例15~22の成型後Vリブドベルトを作製した。それぞれの圧縮ゴム層のゴム配合を表5にも示す。
EPDM(三井化学社製 商品名:EPT3045)を原料ゴムとし、その原料ゴム100質量部に対して、HAFカーボンブラック(東海カーボン社製 商品名:シーストSO)60質量部、モンモリロナイト(ホージュン社製 商品名:ベンゲルHVP、膨潤力:44ml/2g、陽イオン交換容量:96meg/100g)30質量部、酸化亜鉛(堺化学工業社製 商品名:亜鉛華2号)5質量部、老化防止剤(大内新興化学社製 商品名:ノクラックMB)2質量部、パラフィン系オイル(出光興産社製 商品名:ダイアナプロセスオイルPS-90)10質量部、硫黄(細井化学社製 商品名:オイルサルファー)2.3質量部、加硫促進剤(三新化学社製 商品名:TET、EZ、MSA)1.4質量部、及び短繊維(旭化成社製 商品名:レオナ66、繊維長1mm)30質量部を配合して密閉式混練機で約5分間混練して未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した成型後Vリブドベルトを実施例8とした。
HAFカーボンブラックの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して45質量部及びモンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して80質量部としたことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを実施例9とした。
モンモリロナイトを配合していないことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例15とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して5質量部としたことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例16とした。
モンモリロナイトの配合量を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部としたことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例17とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにモンモリロナイト含有材料(ホージュン社製 商品名:スーパークレイ、膨潤力:24ml/2g、陽イオン交換容量:65meg/100g)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例18とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにモンモリロナイト含有材料(ホージュン社製 商品名:穂高、膨潤力:16ml/2g、陽イオン交換容量:86meg/100g)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例19とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにモンモリロナイト含有材料(ホージュン社製 商品名:榛名、膨潤力:10ml/2g、陽イオン交換容量:69meg/100g)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例20とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに炭酸カルシウム(白石カルシウム工業社製 商品名:白艶華CC)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例21とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに界面活性剤(ラインケミージャパン社製 商品名:アフラックス54)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いて実施例8のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例8と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例22とした。
<成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の含有水分率>
実施例8及び9並びに比較例15~22のそれぞれから切り出した圧縮ゴム層の試験片について、事前に試験片の質量を測定し(W0(0.040~0.060g))、水分気化装置により120℃で20分間加熱した後、揮発成分に含まれる水分量をカールフィッシャー水分計で測定した(m)。そして、(m/W0)×100(質量%)を成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の含有水分率とした。
実施例8及び9、並びに比較例15、21、及び22のそれぞれから切り出した圧縮ゴム層の試験片について、JIS K6258に基づき、12時間の水浸漬加工を施した後の質量を測定した(W12)。そして、((W12-W0)/W0)×100(%)を質量変化率とした。
被水時異音評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を、実施例8及び9並びに比較例15及び22では、水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト、12時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルト、及び24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、また、比較例21では12時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、さらに、比較例16~20では24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、それぞれ行った。
耐摩耗性評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を、実施例8及び9並びに比較例15及び22では、12時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルト及び24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、また、比較例21では12時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、さらに、比較例16~20では24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、それぞれ行った。
表6は試験結果を示す。
(Vリブドベルト)
以下の実施例10及び11並びに比較例23~29の成型後Vリブドベルトを作製した。それぞれの圧縮ゴム層のゴム配合を表7にも示す。

モンモリロナイトの代わりにヘクトライト(クニミネ工業社製 商品名:スメクトンHE)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを実施例11とした。
モンモリロナイトを配合していないことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例23とした。この比較例23は試験評価2の比較例15のロット違いである。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにタルク(日本タルク社製 商品名:シムゴン、表面処理なし)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例24とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに膨潤性雲母(コープケミカル社製 商品名:ソマシフME-100)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例25とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりにハロイサイト(Aldrich社製 商品名:Hallysite nanoclay)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例26とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに非膨潤性雲母(コープケミカル社製 商品名:ミクロマイカMK-200)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例27とした。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに炭酸カルシウム(白石カルシウム工業社製 商品名:白艶華CC)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して30質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例28とした。この比較例28は試験評価2の比較例21のロット違いである。
モンモリロナイトの代わりに界面活性剤(ラインケミージャパン社製 商品名:アフラックス54)を原料ゴム100質量部に対して10質量部配合したことを除いて実施例10のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例10と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例29とした。この比較例29は試験評価2の比較例22のロット違いである。
<成型後Vリブドベルトの含有水分率>
実施例10及び11並びに比較例23~29のそれぞれについて、試験評価2と同様に成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の含有水分率を求めた。
実施例10及び11並びに比較例23~29のそれぞれについて、試験評価2と同様に成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の24時間の水浸漬加工を施した後の質量変化率を求めた。
実施例10及び11並びに比較例24~27のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト及び24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、複数のVリブを長さ方向に沿って切り出し、それらを並列に並べたものを試験片とし、X線回折測定における測定範囲が2θ=0.2~15°での検出ピークを、リガク社製の粉末X線回折装置UltimaIIIにより測定した。
実施例10及び11並びに比較例23~29のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト及び24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、試験評価1と同様に被水時異音評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を行った。
実施例10及び11並びに比較例23~29のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト及び24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトについて、試験評価1と同様に耐摩耗性評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を行った。
表8は試験結果を示す。
(Vリブドベルト)
以下の実施例12及び比較例30の成型後Vリブドベルトを作製した。それぞれの圧縮ゴム層のゴム配合を表9にも示す。
EPDM(三井化学社製 商品名:EPT3045)を原料ゴムとし、その原料ゴム100質量部に対して、HAFカーボンブラック(東海カーボン社製 商品名:シーストSO)60質量部、モンモリロナイト(ホージュン社製 商品名:ベンゲルA)30質量部、酸化亜鉛(堺化学工業社製 商品名:亜鉛華2号)5質量部、ステアリン酸(日油社製 商品名:ビーズステアリン酸椿)1質量部、老化防止剤(大内新興化学社製 商品名:ノクラックMB)2質量部、パラフィン系オイル(出光興産社製 商品名:ダイアナプロセスオイルPS-90)10質量部、硫黄(細井化学社製 商品名:オイルサルファー)2.3質量部、加硫促進剤(大内新興化学社製 商品名:EP-150)4質量部、及び短繊維(旭化成社製 商品名:レオナ66、繊維長1mm)30質量部を配合して密閉式混練機で約5分間混練して未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した成型後Vリブドベルトを実施例12とした。
モンモリロナイトを配合していないことを除いて実施例12のものと同一構成の未架橋ゴム組成物を得た。そして、この未架橋ゴム組成物を用いて圧縮ゴム層を形成した実施例12と同様の成型後Vリブドベルトを比較例30とした。
<成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の含有水分率>
実施例12及び比較例30のそれぞれについて、試験評価2と同様に成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の含有水分率を求めた。
実施例12及び比較例30のそれぞれについて、試験評価1と同様に成型後Vリブドベルトの圧縮ゴム層の24時間の水浸漬加工を施した後の質量変化率を求めた。
実施例12及び比較例30のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト、並びに実施例12び比較例30の24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトのそれぞれについて、圧縮ゴム層のVリブ表面の層状珪酸塩の面積占有率を、走査型電子顕微鏡(日立ハイテクノロジーズ社製 走査電子顕微鏡S-48009)を用いた300倍拡大観察において、元素分析装置(堀場製作所社製 X線分析装置EMAX EX-250)を用いたSi元素のマッピング画像におけるSi元素の輝点の面積割合を算出することにより求めた。
実施例12及び比較例30のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルト、並びに実施例12及び比較例30の24時間の水浸漬加工を施したVリブドベルトのそれぞれについて、試験評価2と同様に被水時異音評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を行った。
実施例12及び比較例30のそれぞれの水浸漬加工を施さなかった成型後Vリブドベルトについて、試験評価2と同様に耐摩耗性評価のためのベルト走行試験評価を行った。
表10は試験結果を示す。

Claims (13)
- ベルト本体がプーリに接触するように巻き掛けられて動力を伝達する摩擦伝動ベルトであって、
上記ベルト本体の少なくともプーリ接触部分は、エチレン-α-オレフィンエラストマーを含む原料ゴム100質量部に対し、スメクタイト族及びバーミキュライト族から選ばれる少なくとも一種の層状珪酸塩が30~80質量部配合されたゴム組成物で形成されている摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1に記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記プーリ接触部分を形成するゴム組成物は、水に1分間浸漬したときの質量変化率が0.1%以上である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1に記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記プーリ接触部分を形成するゴム組成物は、水分率が0.70質量%以上である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記層状珪酸塩の膨潤力が20ml/2g以上である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記層状珪酸塩の陽イオン交換容量が70meg/100g以上である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記プーリ接触部分を形成するゴム組成物は、X線回折測定において、測定範囲が2θ=0.2~15°における検出ピークが2θ=9°以下である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至6のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記プーリ接触部分の表面に露出した層状珪酸塩の面積占有率が12%以上である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記層状珪酸塩がモンモリロナイトを含む摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至8のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトにおいて、
上記ベルト本体がVリブドベルト本体である摩擦伝動ベルト。 - 請求項1乃至9のいずれかに記載された摩擦伝動ベルトが複数のプーリに巻き掛けられたベルト伝動装置。
- 請求項10に記載されたベルト伝動装置において、
自動車の補機駆動用であるベルト伝動装置。 - 請求項3に記載された摩擦伝動ベルトの製造方法であって、
ベルト本体の少なくともプーリ接触部分が、原料ゴムに層状珪酸塩が配合されたゴム組成物で形成された成型後摩擦伝動ベルトを、水蒸気雰囲気中又は水中に所定時間入れる工程を含む摩擦伝動ベルトの製造方法。 - 請求項12に記載された摩擦伝動ベルトの製造方法において、
成型後摩擦伝動ベルトを、水蒸気雰囲気中又は水中に8時間以上入れる摩擦伝動ベルトの製造方法。
