Definitions
- the present invention relates to a filter for cooking vessels, which provides essential novelty characteristics and notable advantages over the known and used means for the same purposes in the current state of the art.
- the invention proposes the development of an ergonomic filter capable of being mounted and movable in containers such as pots and saucepans of different sizes, materialized by means of a receptacle constructed with a heat resistant material, provided with a body based on fine and hard metal mesh coupled to a silicone support with a rolling mechanism and a fixing mechanism, so that the filter can adopt two operating states, namely rotational mobility by manual actuation or coupling-rest.
- the field of application of the invention is comprised within the industrial sector dedicated to the manufacture of kitchen utensils, utensils and other complementary use.
- a porous filter based on an inert, flexible and heat resistant material which is suitable for food use and which adapts perfectly to different types of cooking vessels.
- Said filter is especially indicated for use in the preparation of consommés, preparation of funds, and in general, for cooking large quantities of ingredients.
- this filter has in practice the disadvantage that it accumulates microscopic debris with use and over time, which at first are white and then turn yellow, brown, etc .;
- food is introduced into the filter bag by weight, deforming it.
- the aforementioned filter is intended only to contain solid products, such as bones, vegetables, etc., for the preparation of the broths, which will be discarded later when the preparation / cooking operation is finished. Additionally, it is not easy to clean due to its flexibility and porosity, and is of short duration when used frequently, with the consequent need for replacement.
- the present invention has as its main objective the construction of a filter applicable to containers of the type of pots, pans or similar utensils, of different sizes, for obtaining clarified broths associated with the cooked product, by means of which favorably solve the inconveniences associated with the devices of the current technique.
- the filter proposed by the invention has been designed with an ergonomic character, adaptable to the inner surface of the container to which it is applied, occupying an amount of the latter's circular space that is estimated to be of the order of 1/5 of said space .
- Fixing to the container is done by means of a silicone support that has been provided, considered as a "fixing arch", internally provided with a rail consisting of three stainless steel parts, which integrate a rotating movement rail (referred to as “movement rail”) and a silicone rail (or “fixing rail”).
- movement rail rotating movement rail
- silicone rail or “fixing rail”
- To install the filter in the container it is necessary to insert one of the two rails mentioned at the edge of the container. In a third position, free of rail, the filter can be installed in any position of the pot or saucepan, allowing its free movement. If the container contains too many solids and / or liquids, it can be tilted slightly so that the filter is introduced through the highest part of the edge, thereby avoiding trapping the elements inside the container and crushing them against the bottom. For the extraction of the liquid, it is enough to introduce a spoon or similar utensil inside the filter (space in which the liquid is filtered, constant clean of solids), and withdraw the desired amounts of liquid.
- the proposed filter is extraordinarily versatile, being susceptible to use in a wide variety of applications, among which we can mention, among others:
- Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a filter constructed in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the invention.
- Figure 2 is a schematic view, in side elevation, of the attachment arch incorporated by the preferred embodiment of filter shown in Figure 1;
- Figure 3 is a schematic view, in extreme elevation, of the clamping arch of Figure 2;
- Figure 4 schematically illustrates a perspective view of a filter according to the invention, coupled to a container in operative position
- Figure 5 represents a side elevation view of a filter corresponding to a modified version with respect to the previous one, in which the filter body is foldable according to the height direction;
- Figure 6 is a top plan view of the modified filter of Figure 5.
- Figure 7 is a perspective view, from above, of a filter according to Figure 5 in the condition of fully folded and protected by an outer case.
- the filter body 1 consists of an internally hollow element, opened at the top to determine an access opening, closed below by means of a base 3 of the same structural characteristics as the rest of the body 1, and superiorly provided with a stiffener neck 4 that extends perimeter to the entire mouth of the body 1.
- the body In horizontal cross section, the body has a curved, cornered configuration, with a contact side with the convex profile vessel and with the opposite side of concave profile, whose degree of curvature will be variable depending on size and model, to easily adapt to the curvatures of the side walls of the containers to which it is attached.
- the body as has been said, is constructed based on a thin and hard metal net, with a denier that can vary according to each specific need or application, resistant to the temperatures to be supported, while the arch 2 It is preferably made of silicone, these food grade materials.
- Figures 2 and 3 are illustrative, specifically, of views corresponding to a side elevation and an end of the part 2 or arch, consistent as stated in a silicone body, generally elongated and which in Longitudinal direction has a curvature substantially equivalent to that shown by the side wall of the body 1 of the filter to which it is coupled.
- the clamp arch 2 is split in the longitudinal direction to determine two channels 5, 6, parallel to each other, open inferiorly, and separated by an intermediate flag indicated with the reference number 7.
- the first channel 5, consists of a simple slit, is a variable section that gradually narrows as it advances towards the closed end of the channel, and constitutes a fixing channel.
- the channel 6 is considered a movement channel, and has a pair of internal elements 8, 9 projected respectively from each of the walls of the channel with a certain curvature that determines a progressive narrowing towards the middle area of confrontation of both elements 8, 9.
- the latter are preferably stainless steel, and constitute fasteners at the edge of a container, with the possibility of movement along said edge.
- the body of the holding arch includes holes 10 for anchoring this piece to the side of the body 1 of the filter.
- the body 1 of the filter can be manufactured with different sizes and curvatures for use with containers of similarly variable sizes.
- the body 1 ' can be designed to be foldable in height, which allows adaptation to containers of different heights and facilitates their storage and transport by occupying a minimum space.
- This modified embodiment of the filter body is appreciable in Figure 5, in which a filter body 1 'appears, which is composed in height by a number of portions 12 that are reduced in size in the horizontal plane when descending towards the base of the body, and that decrease slightly in height also in descending direction. Between successive portions 12 there are folding stops that act as limiters in the ascent and descent (ie, in the unfolding and folding operations).
- FIG. 6 it can be seen how the assembly seen in plan appears, with the arch 2 piece attached to the side of the body 1 'below of neck 4, with the different portions 12 converging in size inwards as they descend, and with the stops 13 visible in this Figure.
- Figure 7 is a perspective view, from above, of the fully folded filter assembly, located inside a case 14 specially designed for this purpose, and with the body 1 'being barely visible from the bottom. Under these conditions, the assembly occupies, as said a minimum space, being easily storable and conveniently transportable to any place of use.
- the case 14 provides additional protection against agents or external handling, very appropriate if the function to which it is intended is taken into account.
