前記表示部及び前記蓋部が相対的に回転可能となるように、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方が一体的に取り付けられた回転軸が設けられるとともに、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方を回転させることによって、前記表示部と前記蓋部との間の開き角度を変更させる回転機構と、
前記開き角度を検出する開き角度検出部と、
前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する制御部とを備えていることを特徴とするものである。
前記制御部は、前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記表示装置によって表示される情報、及び前記視野角制御装置によって制御される視野角の少なくとも一方を変更することが好ましい。
前記蓋部には、前記第1の表示部とは独立して情報を表示可能に構成された第2の表示部が設けられてもよい。
前記制御部は、前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記第2の表示部に含まれた前記表示装置によって表示される情報、及び前記第2の表示部に含まれた前記視野角制御装置によって制御される視野角の少なくとも一方を変更することが好ましい。
前記開き角度を検出する開き角度検出工程と、
前記開き角度検出工程にて検出された開き角度に基づいて、前記表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する表示情報変更工程とを備えていることを特徴とするものである。

図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態にかかるPDAを示す斜視図である。図2(a)及び図2(b)は、図1に示した第1及び第2の筐体が互いに異なる開き角度で開かれた状態での上記PDAの側面図である。
図9は、本発明の第2の実施形態にかかるPDAに用いられた開き角度検出部の具体的な構成例を説明する図である。図において、本実施形態と上記第1の実施形態との主な相違点は、角度センサに代えて、スイッチ式の開き角度検出部を用いた点である。なお、上記第1の実施形態と共通する要素については、同じ符号を付して、その重複した説明を省略する。
図10は、本発明の第3の実施形態にかかるPDAを示す斜視図である。図11(a)及び図11(b)は、図10に示した第1及び第2の筐体が互いに異なる開き角度で開かれた状態での図10に示したPDAの側面図である。図において、本実施形態と上記第1の実施形態との主な相違点は、上記表示部を第1の表示部として構成するとともに、この第1の表示部とは独立して情報を表示可能に構成された第2の表示部を、上記第1の筐体に収納した点である。なお、上記第1の実施形態と共通する要素については、同じ符号を付して、その重複した説明を省略する。

Claims (12)
- 情報を表示する表示部を備えた携帯端末であって、
前記表示部に対して、開閉可能に設けられた蓋部と、
前記表示部及び前記蓋部が相対的に回転可能となるように、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方が一体的に取り付けられた回転軸が設けられるとともに、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方を回転させることによって、前記表示部と前記蓋部との間の開き角度を変更させる回転機構と、
前記開き角度を検出する開き角度検出部と、
前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する制御部と
を備えていることを特徴とする携帯端末。 - 前記表示部には、情報を表示する情報表示用の表示装置と、視野角を制御する視野角制御用の視野角制御装置とが含まれ、
前記制御部は、前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記表示装置によって表示される情報、及び前記視野角制御装置によって制御される視野角の少なくとも一方を変更する請求項1に記載の携帯端末。 - 前記表示部は、第1の表示部として構成されるとともに、
前記蓋部には、前記第1の表示部とは独立して情報を表示可能に構成された第2の表示部が設けられている請求項1または2に記載の携帯端末。 - 前記制御部は、前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記第2の表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する請求項3に記載の携帯端末。
- 前記第2の表示部には、情報を表示する情報表示用の表示装置と、視野角を制御する視野角制御用の視野角制御装置とが含まれ、
前記制御部は、前記開き角度検出部からの検出結果に基づいて、前記第2の表示部に含まれた前記表示装置によって表示される情報、及び前記第2の表示部に含まれた前記視野角制御装置によって制御される視野角の少なくとも一方を変更する請求項3または4に記載の携帯端末。 - 前記第1及び第2の各表示部において、前記表示装置及び前記視野角制御装置には、各々液晶パネルが用いられている請求項5に記載の携帯端末。
- 前記開き角度検出部には、前記回転軸の回転角度を、前記開き角度として検出する角度センサが含まれている請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の携帯端末。
- 前記開き角度検出部には、前記回転軸の外周面側で当該回転軸と一体回転可能に設置されたブリッジ部材と、前記回転軸の外周外方で当該回転軸の周方向に沿って互いに異なる位置に設けられるとともに、前記ブリッジ部材に電気的に接触可能に設置された複数組の一対の接点部材とが含まれている請求項1~6のいずれか1項に記載の携帯端末。
- 情報を表示する表示部と、前記表示部に対して、開閉可能に設けられた蓋部と、前記表示部及び前記蓋部が相対的に回転可能となるように、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方が一体的に取り付けられた回転軸が設けられるとともに、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方を回転させることによって、前記表示部と前記蓋部との間の開き角度を変更させる回転機構とを備えた携帯端末の駆動方法であって、
前記開き角度を検出する開き角度検出工程と、
前記開き角度検出工程にて検出された開き角度に基づいて、前記表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する表示情報変更工程と
を備えていることを特徴とする携帯端末の駆動方法。 - 前記表示情報変更工程には、前記表示部の視野角を変更する視野角変更工程が含まれている請求項9に記載の携帯端末の駆動方法。
- 情報を表示する表示部と、前記表示部に対して、開閉可能に設けられた蓋部と、前記表示部及び前記蓋部が相対的に回転可能となるように、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方が一体的に取り付けられた回転軸が設けられるとともに、前記表示部及び前記蓋部の少なくとも一方を回転させることによって、前記表示部と前記蓋部との間の開き角度を変更させる回転機構とを備えた携帯端末の駆動方法を、コンピュータに実行させるための携帯端末の駆動プログラムであって、
前記開き角度を検出する開き角度検出ステップと、
前記開き角度検出工程にて検出された開き角度に基づいて、前記表示部に表示される表示情報を変更する表示情報変更ステップと
をコンピュータに実行させることを特徴とする携帯端末の駆動プログラム。 - 前記表示情報変更ステップには、前記表示部の視野角を変更する視野角変更ステップが含まれている請求項11に記載の携帯端末の駆動プログラム。
