- FIG. 7 is an example in which the maximum number of ranks is two.
- rank information offset table 1222a stores a rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset according to the combination of the rank number of data CH and the rank number of control CH.
- ⁇ RANKoffset the relationship between the combination of the rank number of data CH and the rank number of control CH and the value of rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset will be described.
- both the rank number of the data CH and the rank number of the control CH are 1 as in case # 1 of FIG. 7, both the data CH and the control CH do not receive interstream interference. - FIG. 8 is an example in which the maximum number of ranks is four.
- the case # 1 to the case # 4 in FIG. 8 are the same as the case # 1 to the case # 4 in FIG.
- rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset ⁇ 0 when the rank number of the control CH is larger than the rank number of the data CH, as in the case # 2 of FIG.
- rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset ⁇ 0 when the rank number of the control CH is larger than the rank number of the data CH, as in the case # 2 of FIG.
- rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset ⁇ 0 when the rank number of the control CH is larger than the rank number of the data CH, as in the case # 2 of FIG.
- rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset ⁇ 0 By setting ⁇ RANKoffset ⁇ 0, the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (4) can be made lower than the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (3). This enhances the error correction capability of control information.
- the control information is encoded as the rank number of data CH is smaller than the rank number of control CH. Since the rate is low, it is possible to improve the deterioration of the reception quality of control information.
- the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (4) can be made higher than the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (3). - the same rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset is defined for a combination in which the rank number of data CH / the rank number of control CH is equal.
- FIG. 9 is an example in which the maximum number of ranks is 4 as in FIG.
- both the rank number of the data CH and the rank number of the control CH are 1 as in case # 1 of FIG. 9, the data CH and the control CH do not receive both inter-stream interference.
- the rank number of data CH and the rank number of control CH are both equal to or greater than 2, it is considered that the influence of inter-stream interference received by data CH and the influence of inter-stream interference received by control CH are substantially equal.
- the influence of interstream interference is considered to be equal between data CH and control CH, and the rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset is set to zero.
- the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (4) can be made higher than the coding rate of control information obtained using equation (3). As a result, it is possible to avoid that control information is encoded at an unnecessarily low coding rate, and to suppress a decrease in transmission efficiency of control information.
- the rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset is increased.
- the control information coding rate becomes higher as the rank number of the data CH is larger than the rank number of the control CH. It is possible to avoid coding at a low coding rate and to suppress the reduction in transmission efficiency of control information.
- coding rate setting section 122a performs time multiplexing of user data coding rate values that are adaptively set according to the user's channel quality information with user data. It is corrected according to the type of control information to be used and the combination of the rank number of data CH and the rank number of control CH, and the value of the coding rate after correction is made to be the coding rate of control information. .
- the coding rate setting unit 122a uses the coding rate of user data adaptively set according to the channel quality information of the user as a reference value, and the type of control information time-multiplexed with the user data, and data
- the reference value is corrected according to the combination of the CH rank number and the control CH rank number, and the corrected reference value is used as the coding rate of the control information.
- coding rate R ′ control of control information time-multiplexed with user data, coding rate R data of user data, PUSCH offset ⁇ PUSCH offset for each control information, and rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset according to the rank number of data CH Setting is performed using equation (4).
- the coding rate of control information by correcting the coding rate of control information to be higher as the rank number of data CH is larger than the rank number of control CH, the influence of inter-stream interference on data CH and the stream on control CH are received.
- the coding rate of the user data can be corrected to set the coding rate of the control information according to the difference with the influence of the inter interference. As a result, even when the coding rate of user data is low, it is possible to prevent the setting of the coding rate of control information from being set too low, and to suppress the decrease in the transmission efficiency of control information.
- the base station sets the coding rate of control information, and notifies the terminal of the set coding rate of control information to the terminal.
- the coding rate of the control information notified of may be acquired.
- the base station sets the rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset, notifies the terminal of the set rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset to the terminal, and the terminal uses the notified rank offset ⁇ RANKoffset to code the control information coding rate You may get it.
- the rank information offset table may be notified from the base station to the terminal in the upper layer.
- the present invention can be applied to two channels having different required reception qualities, not limited to the data CH and the control CH.
- the present invention is described using hardware as an example, but the present invention can also be realized by software.
- each functional block employed in the description of the aforementioned embodiment may typically be implemented as an LSI constituted by an integrated circuit. These may be individually made into one chip, or may be made into one chip so as to include some or all. Although an LSI is used here, it may be called an IC, a system LSI, a super LSI, or an ultra LSI depending on the degree of integration.
- the method of circuit integration is not limited to LSI's, and implementation using dedicated circuitry or general purpose processors is also possible.
- a programmable field programmable gate array FPGA
- a reconfigurable processor may be used which can reconfigure connection and setting of circuit cells in the LSI.
- the present invention is useful as a coding rate setting method, a wireless communication apparatus and the like used in a wireless communication system using adaptive modulation and MIMO technology.
