Abstract

L’invention concerne un procédé de détermination d’une condition accidentelle d’un véhicule comprenant l’étape consistant à détecter une accélération accidentelle dans une première direction sensiblement parallèle à un axe avant-arrière du véhicule et à fournir un premier signal d’accélération indiquant celle-ci. Le procédé comprend également l’étape consistant à détecter une accélération accidentelle dans une seconde direction sensiblement parallèle à un axe bord à bord du véhicule et à proximité des côtés opposés du véhicule et à fournir des seconds signaux d’accélération indiquant celle-ci. Le procédé comprend en outre les étapes consistant à déterminer une valeur accidentelle transversale associée de manière fonctionnelle aux seconds signaux d’accélération et à comparer la valeur accidentelle transversale déterminée à un seuil de sécurité. Le procédé comprend en outre l’étape consistant à déterminer une condition accidentelle du véhicule en réponse à (a) la comparaison et (b) le premier signal d’accélération.
