Abstract

본 발명은 자동차의 공회전 강제 제한장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로서, 특히 자동차이 장시간 공회전시 자동으로 엔진을 정지시키는 자동차의 공회전 강제 제한장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 자동차의 공회전 강제 제한장치는, 자동차의 속도를 측정하는 속도센서와; 변속기의 위치를 감지하는 변속기위치센서와; 브레이크의 동작상태를 감지하는 제동감지센서와; 자동차의 기울기를 측정하는 경사각센서와; 상기 속도센서, 변속기위치센서, 제동감지센서, 경사각센서로부터 측정된 데이터를 이용하여 엔진을 강제 정지시키거나 재시동하는 제어부로 이루어지되, 상기 제어부는, 상기 경사각센서에서 측정된 경사데이터가 미리 설정된 각도를 초과한 경우에는 상기 엔진을 강제 정지시키지 않는 것을 특징으로 한다.
