     プレイヤーの操作を受け付ける操作受付部と、
     該操作受付部が受け付けたプレイヤー操作の内容に応じて、該仮想ゲーム空間生成部が生成した仮想ゲーム空間内における上記操作対象キャラクタの移動を含んだキャラクタ行動を決定する行動決定部と、
     該行動決定部の決定結果に基づいてゲームの進行を制御するゲーム進行制御部と、
     他のゲーム装置でプレイする別プレイヤーの操作対象キャラクタの該他のゲーム装置での仮想ゲーム空間内における位置を示す別キャラクタ位置情報を、通信ネットワークを介して繰り返し受信する通信部と、
     該仮想ゲーム空間生成部が生成した仮想ゲーム空間の少なくとも一部を所定の視点から見渡した画像が表現されるゲーム画面を、該ゲーム進行制御部の進行制御に応じて表示するゲーム画面表示部とを備えたゲーム装置であって、
     他のゲーム装置と同じマップ情報を生成するための元情報を取得する情報取得部を有し、
     上記マップ情報生成部は、該情報取得部が取得した元情報に対応するマップ情報を生成するものであり、
     上記ゲーム進行制御部は、他のゲーム装置でプレイする別プレイヤーの操作対象キャラクタの該他のゲーム装置での仮想ゲーム空間内における位置を示す別キャラクタ位置情報を上記通信部で繰り返し取得しつつ、取得した別キャラクタ位置情報が示す位置に対応する自己のゲーム装置における仮想ゲーム空間内の位置に、該別プレイヤーの操作対象キャラクタが存在することを表す別キャラクタ位置表示画像を表示したゲーム画面を、上記ゲーム画面表示部により表示しながら、上記ゲームの進行制御を行うゲーム装置。
    A map information generation unit for generating map information;

    A communication unit that repeatedly receives, via a communication network, another character position information indicating a position of the operation target character of another player playing on another game device in the virtual game space in the other game device;
    A game screen display unit that displays a game screen on which an image overlooking at least a part of the virtual game space generated by the virtual game space generation unit from a predetermined viewpoint is displayed according to the progress control of the game progress control unit; A game device comprising:
    Having an information acquisition unit for acquiring original information for generating the same map information as other game devices;
    The map information generation unit generates map information corresponding to the original information acquired by the information acquisition unit,
    The game progress control unit repeatedly acquires another character position information indicating the position of the operation target character of another player playing on another game device in the virtual game space in the other game device, in the communication unit, A game screen displaying a different character position display image indicating that the operation target character of the different player exists at a position in the virtual game space in the game device corresponding to the position indicated by the acquired different character position information; A game device that controls the progress of the game while being displayed by the game screen display unit.
