- the periodic signal 20 input to the solar cell string 7A passes through the solar cell string 7A without passing through the attenuation circuit 4.
- the periodic signal 21 input to the receiving circuit 15 through the power line 8 and the solar cell string 7B passes through the solar cell string 7B without passing through the attenuation circuit 4, and is received through the power line 8. Input to the circuit 15.
- the determination circuit 19 It is determined that DC power is not supplied to any of the bypass circuits 3 of 7A and 7B, and it is determined that there is no unrecoverable failure in any of the solar cell modules 6 of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B.
- the periodic signal 20 having the frequency F1 is attenuated by the attenuation circuit 32B, and therefore reaches the reception circuit 15 via the power line 8B on the solar cell string 7B side.
- the periodic signal 20 having the frequency F1 can be almost ignored.
- the receiving circuit 15 detects that the amount of attenuation of the periodic signal 20 having the frequency F1 that has passed through the attenuation circuit 32A exceeds a specified value.
- the determination circuit 19 determines that DC power is energized to any bypass circuit 3 of the solar cell string 7A. Then, it is determined that any of the solar cell modules 6 of the solar cell string 7A has a failure that cannot be recovered.

- the periodic signal 21 having the frequency F2 can be almost ignored.
- the receiving circuit 15 detects that the attenuation amount of the periodic signal 21 having the frequency F2 that has passed through the attenuation circuit 32B exceeds a specified value.
- the determination circuit 19 determines that DC power is energized to any bypass circuit 3 of the solar cell string 7B. Then, it is determined that any of the solar cell modules 6 in the solar cell string 7B has a failure that cannot be recovered.
- the frequency bands of the periodic signals respectively input to the solar cell strings 7A and 7B can be made different from each other. It is possible to reduce the mixing of periodic signals in the same frequency band that have passed through the strings 7A and 7B in the receiving circuit 15, respectively. For this reason, for example, when the bypass circuit 3 including the attenuation circuit 4 included in the solar cell string 7A is energized, the attenuation rate of the periodic signal 20 that can be detected by the reception circuit 15 can be further increased. Since it is possible to determine the DC power energization operation separately for each of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B, particularly when a large number of solar cell strings are connected in parallel, the determination accuracy of failure detection is improved. be able to.

- the switch 33B may be connected to the power line 8B on the current outflow side to the solar cell string 7B.
- the periodic signal transmitted from the transmission circuit 14 may have only a single frequency component, and between the solar cell strings 7A and 7B,

- the periodic signal 20 of the frequency F1 is received via the power line 8B on the solar cell string 7B side. Reaching the circuit 15 can be prevented. Therefore, even when the transmitter circuit 14 and the receiver circuit 15 are provided in common for the solar cell strings 7A and 7B, the periodic signal 20 having the frequency F1 that has passed through the solar cell strings 7A and 7B is mixed by the receiver circuit 15. Since it is possible to separately determine the energization operation of the DC power to the bypass circuit 3 for each of the solar battery strings 7A and 7B, the determination accuracy of failure detection is improved. Can be made. In addition, since it is not necessary to change the frequency of the periodic signal for each of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B, a more inexpensive configuration can be achieved.
- the control circuit 41 When determining the energization operation of the bypass circuit 3 of the solar cell string 7B, the control circuit 41 opens the switch 33A and closes the switch 33B.

- the determination circuit 19 supplies DC power to any bypass circuit 3 of the solar cell string 7B. It is determined that no failure has occurred in any of the solar cell modules 6 of the solar cell string 7B.
- the attenuation circuit 4 in the bypass circuit 3 connected in parallel to the connection unit 2 constituted by the solar cells 1 is provided. Conduct. For this reason, the periodic signal 20 of the frequency F1 sent from the transmission circuit 14 passes through the attenuation circuit 4 in the bypass circuit 3 connected in parallel to the connection unit 2 constituted by the solar cell 1 where the failure has occurred. It reaches the receiving circuit 15 via the route.
- the receiving circuit 15 detects that the amount of attenuation of the periodic signal 20 having the frequency F1 exceeds a specified value.
- the determination circuit 19 determines that DC power is energized to any bypass circuit 3 of the solar cell string 7B. Then, it is determined that any of the solar cell modules 6 in the solar cell string 7B has a failure that cannot be recovered.
- the attenuation characteristic of the attenuation circuit 4 of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B is set so that the periodic signal having the frequency F1 is attenuated after the periodic signal having one type of frequency F1.
- the case of setting has been described as an example. However, when there are only M solar cell modules in each of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B, M types of frequencies F1 to FM are given to the periodic signal, and the frequencies F1 to FM are set.
- the attenuation characteristics of the attenuation circuits 4 of the M solar cell modules in each of the solar cell strings 7A and 7B may be set so that the periodic signals are attenuated.
- the number is not limited to this number, and may be one or three or more.
