Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an ink jet recording apparatus and an ink jet recording method, and more particularly, to a configuration that reduces graininess in a recorded image by ink ejection control.
  • an inkjet recording apparatus that performs recording by discharging ink onto a recording medium such as paper has various advantages and is becoming a mainstream for personal use.
  • inkjet recording apparatuses are required to further improve image quality.
  • they are suitable for silver salt photography as a printing system that can easily print photos at home.
  • the quality of images has been demanded.
  • graininess in a recorded image is one of the conventional problems when compared with a silver salt photograph.
  • an ink jet recording apparatus includes an ink system in which light cyan or light magenta having a lower colorant density is added to normal cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. That is, by using such an ink system, it is possible to reduce graininess by using light cyan or light magenta in an area where the recording density is low. Further, by performing recording using normal cyan or magenta in a region having a high recording density, it is possible to realize wider color reproduction and smooth gradation.
  • Factors that deteriorate the graininess include ink bleeding and beading in addition to the above-described ink having a high colorant density and the size of dots to be formed. Since there is a limit to the amount of ink absorbed by the recording medium, for example, if ink exceeding the limit is ejected to a certain area of the recording medium, ink bleeding may occur, which may give a grainy feeling. In particular, when two or more colors of ink are superimposed and ejected on one pixel, ink bleeding due to exceeding the limit of the ink absorption amount is likely to occur.

  • the following methods have been proposed in order to suppress the deterioration of graininess caused by bleeding and beading. That is, by performing so-called multi-pass printing, it is possible to reduce the amount of ink applied to the unit area of the printing medium in one scan or unit time. Abstract

Description

  Σ(n×fY1(n))/ΣfY1(n)=Σ(n×fC1(n))/ΣfC1(n)=Σ(n×fM1(n))/ΣfM1(n)
である。通常、ΣfY1(n)=ΣfC1(n)=ΣfM1(n)=100%であるから、
  Σ(n×fY1(n))=Σ(n×fC1(n))=Σ(n×fM1(n))
  Σ(n×fY2(n))/ΣfY2(n)>Σ(n×fC2(n))/ΣfC2(n)
  Σ(n×fY2(n))/ΣfY2(n)>Σ(n×fM2(n))/ΣfM2(n)
  Σ(n×fC2(n))/ΣfC2(n)>Σ(n×fM2(n))/ΣfM2(n)
となる。ここで、ΣfY2(n)=ΣfC2(n)=ΣfM2(n)=100%のときは、
  Σ(n×fY2(n))>Σ(n×fC2(n))
  Σ(n×fY2(n))>Σ(n×fM2(n))
  Σ(n×fC2(n))>Σ(n×fM2(n))
