Abstract

　内部の紙幣識別手段に雨水の浸入を防止した紙幣識別装置を提供する。 　この紙幣識別装置では、紙幣搬送通路（１４）により紙幣挿入口（２０）から装置内部の紙幣収納庫（１３）に紙幣を搬入する。排水用庇部（２３）は、紙幣挿入口（２０）の上方部直近で前方に突起して形成される。紙幣挿入口（２０）から前面下方に傾斜するガイド面（２４）が紙幣ガイド部として形成され、紙幣を紙幣搬送通路（１４）に導く。フロントマスク（２１）の正面を流れ落ちた雨水は排水用庇部（２３）によって遮られるため、紙幣挿入口（２０）から紙幣識別装置の内部に直接に流れ込むおそれがない。したがって、フラッパ機構のような蓋部を設けることなしに、雨水の浸入を防止できる。

Description

紙幣識別装置
　本発明は、屋外に配置する自動販売機などに内蔵され、紙幣挿入口に投入された紙幣の真贋判定を行う紙幣識別装置に関し、とくに紙幣挿入口にフラッパなど開閉式の蓋部を有しないで、雨・風の影響を防止するようにした紙幣識別装置に関する。
　自動販売機（以下、自販機という。）などに使用される紙幣識別装置では、紙幣挿入口から投入された紙幣を紙幣識別手段に搬送して真贋などの識別が行われ、正しく識別できた紙幣は収納し、正しく識別できなかった場合は返却している。屋外に自販機を設置した場合には、防水や防塵のために紙幣挿入口の前面に、通常は樹脂や金属製の平板状の扉（フラッパ）を追加的に設けるようにしている。このフラッパは、販売待機時には紙幣挿入口を閉じており、紙幣挿入時にだけ紙幣挿入口を開いて紙幣が挿入できるようになっている（たとえば、以下の特許文献１参照）。

　しかし、紙幣挿入の際に引き上げたフラッパが自重で復帰して紙幣挿入口を塞いでしまわないよう、自販機の利用者はフラッパを引き上げたまま、もう片方の手で紙幣を挿入しなければならない。すなわち、紙幣挿入の際に利用者は両手を使う必要があって、操作性が悪かった。
　また、紙幣返却時にフラッパが邪魔をして紙幣の排出が阻害されるおそれもあった。さらに、フラッパ機構が悪戯などにより取り外されてしまうと、内部の紙幣識別手段にまで雨水が浸入して、紙幣識別機能が損なわれる原因となる。
　そこで、可動式のフラッパ機構を用いることなく、簡単な構造で内部の紙幣識別手段に雨水の浸入を防ぐことが求められていた。
　本発明はこのような点に鑑みてなされたものであり、内部の紙幣識別手段に雨水の浸入を防止した紙幣識別装置を提供することを目的とする。
　本発明では、上記問題を解決するために、屋外に配置する自動販売機などに内蔵され、紙幣挿入口に投入された紙幣の真贋判定を行う紙幣識別装置が提供される。この紙幣識別装置は、前記紙幣挿入口から前記紙幣を装置内部に搬入する搬送路と、前記紙幣挿入口の上部直近で前方に突起して形成された排水用庇部と、前記紙幣挿入口前面で下方に傾斜するガイド面として形成され、前記紙幣を前記搬送路に導くガイド部とから構成される。
　この紙幣識別装置では、搬送路は、紙幣挿入口から紙幣を装置内部に搬入する。排水用庇部は、紙幣挿入口の上部直近で前方に突起して形成される。ガイド部は、紙幣挿入口前面で下方に傾斜するガイド面として形成され、紙幣を搬送路に導く。
　本発明によれば、フラッパ機構を設けなくても、雨水の浸入を確実に防止することができる。
　本発明の上記および他の目的、特徴および利点は本発明の例として好ましい実施の形態を表す添付の図面と関連した以下の説明により明らかになるであろう。
本発明の実施の形態に係る紙幣識別装置の外観を示す斜視図である。 図１の紙幣識別装置の内部構成を示す分解斜視図である。 図１の紙幣識別装置の前面に配置されるフロントマスクを示す斜視図である。 （Ａ）はフロントマスクの上面図、（Ｂ）はその正面図である。 図４のフロントマスクの中央部におけるＢ－Ｂ縦断面形状を示す図である。
　以下、図面を参照してこの発明の実施の形態について説明する。図１は、本発明の実施の形態に係る紙幣識別装置の外観を示す斜視図である。
　紙幣識別装置１０は、正面の本体フレーム部１１と、その背後に固着された紙幣識別部１２および紙幣収納庫１３により構成され、自販機の前面扉などに内側から固着される。本体フレーム部１１の前面下部には、紙幣挿入口２０を有するフロントマスク２１が自販機の前面扉から露出されるように配置されている。
　なお、２１ａ～２１ｄはフロントマスク２１を自販機の前面扉に固着するためのボルト挿通溝である。
　図２は、図１の紙幣識別装置の内部構成を示す分解斜視図である。
　紙幣識別部１２および紙幣収納庫１３は、本体フレーム部１１の背面部において分離可能に構成されている。紙幣識別部１２には、本体フレーム部１１と合体されたとき、紙幣挿入口２０と連通する紙幣搬送通路１４が形成されている。また、この紙幣搬送通路１４に沿って、紙幣を搬送するための紙幣搬送機構１５や搬送信号などを指令する紙幣識別回路部１６などが配置されている。
　フロントマスク２１の紙幣挿入口２０から挿入された紙幣は、紙幣識別部１２でその真贋と金種が識別され、商品取引が実行される。そして、自販機における商品取引終了の時点で、紙幣搬送通路１４内に保留されていた紙幣は、紙幣識別部１２の上方に配置された紙幣収納庫１３まで搬送される。紙幣収納庫１３では、搬送されてきた紙幣をプッシャ部、スタッカ部によって整列収納し、その後、必要に応じて自販機の前面扉を開くことで、そこに収納された紙幣を紙幣識別装置１０の裏側から回収できるようになっている。
　図３は、図１の紙幣識別装置の前面に配置されるフロントマスクを示す斜視図である。
　フロントマスク２１の上半分は紙幣挿入案内などが記載されたステッカなどの貼付部２２となっており、その下に紙幣挿入口２０と、その上部直近で前方にやや突起するように排水用庇部２３が形成されている。また、紙幣挿入口２０の前面には、下方に傾斜したガイド面２４が紙幣挿入口２０からやや前方に突起して形成されており、挿入された紙幣を紙幣搬送通路１４へと導くように連通している。なお、このフロントマスク２１は樹脂成形品として構成され、本体フレーム部１１の紙幣挿入口（図示せず）の前面に着脱自在に配置される。
　図４（Ａ）、（Ｂ）は、それぞれフロントマスクの上面図および正面図であり、図５は、図４のフロントマスクの中央部におけるＢ－Ｂ縦断面形状を示す図である。
　紙幣挿入口２０と連通する紙幣搬送通路１４には、紙幣識別回路部１６に識別信号を出力する光センサ部１６ａ、搬送ローラ１５ａ，１５ｂなどを駆動するための紙幣搬送機構１５のモータなどが配置されている。したがって、紙幣搬送通路１４を搬送された紙幣は、紙幣収納庫１３に収納される。
　ここで、紙幣挿入口２０を有するフロントマスク２１には、排水用庇部２３が紙幣挿入口２０の上部全面に渡って配置されている。また、紙幣挿入口２０に紙幣を受け入れるためのガイド面２４が前面で下方に傾斜するように構成されている。ガイド面２４には、そこに投入可能な紙幣の横幅に対応する間隔をもってガイド壁２５ａ，２５ｂが、その左右両側に形成されている。また、図５に明示するように、紙幣挿入口２０のガイド面２４は、突出する排水用庇部２３の先端部分よりさらに前方に突き出た形状となっている。
　このような紙幣識別装置１０では、自販機が風雨に晒される屋外に設置された場合、雨水はフロントマスク２１の正面から紙幣挿入口２０のガイド面２４にも流れる。しかし、排水用庇部２３を設けたことによって、直接に紙幣搬送通路１４から紙幣識別装置１０の内部に流れ込むおそれはない。また、フロントマスク２０のステッカの貼付部２２に沿って排水用庇部２３に到達する雨水は、この排水用庇部２３を越えて紙幣挿入口２０に落下しても、傾斜するガイド面２４によって前面外側に流れ出る。したがって、紙幣挿入口２０がフラッパ機構によって塞がれていなくても、内部の紙幣搬送通路１４には雨水が浸入しない。
　なお、排水用庇部２３の上面に樋状の溝部を形成して、雨水を紙幣挿入口２０の左右に排水するようにしてもよい。
　上記については単に本発明の原理を示すものである。さらに、多数の変形、変更が当業者にとって可能であり、本発明は上記に示し、説明した正確な構成および応用例に限定されるものではなく、対応するすべての変形例および均等物は、添付の請求項およびその均等物による本発明の範囲とみなされる。

Claims (3)

  1. 　屋外に配置する自動販売機などに内蔵され、紙幣挿入口に投入された紙幣の真贋判定を行う紙幣識別装置において、
    　前記紙幣挿入口から前記紙幣を装置内部に搬入する搬送路と、
    　前記紙幣挿入口の上部直近で前方に突起して形成された排水用庇部と、
    　前記紙幣挿入口前面で下方に傾斜するガイド面として形成され、前記紙幣を前記搬送路に導くガイド部と、
    　を備えたことを特徴とする紙幣識別装置。
  2. 　前記ガイド部には、投入可能な紙幣の横幅に対応する間隔でガイド壁が形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第１項記載の紙幣識別装置。
  3. 　前記ガイド部、および前記排水用庇部は、前記紙幣挿入口の前面に着脱自在に配置されたフロントマスクに形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第１項記載の紙幣識別装置。
