この一般式(0)で示される金属化合物は、たとえば、光学部品用の化合物である。
このような化合物を使用することで、屈折率と、アッベ数とのバランスに優れた透明性樹脂を得ることができる。
このような化合物を使用することで、高い屈折率を有し、かつ、高いアッベ数を有する透明性樹脂を確実に得ることができる。

上記一般式(1)において、X1およびX2は、各々独立に硫黄原子または酸素原子である。上記一般式(1)に示した化合物を重合して得られる樹脂の高屈折率化の観点からは、X1およびX2として、硫黄原子がより好ましい。
かかる2価の有機基としては、鎖状または環状脂肪族基、芳香族基および芳香族-脂肪族基が挙げられ、好ましくは、炭素数1以上20以下の鎖状脂肪族基、炭素数3以上20以下の環状脂肪族基、炭素数5以上20以下の芳香族基、炭素数6以上20以下の芳香族-脂肪族基である。
メチレン基、エチレン基、1,2-ジクロロエチレン基、トリメチレン基、テトラメチレン基、ペンタメチレン基、シクロペンチレン基、ヘキサメチレン基、シクロヘキシレン基、ヘプタメチレン基、オクタメチレン基、ノナメチレン基、デカメチレン基、ウンデカメチレン基、ドデカメチレン基、トリデカメチレン基、テトラデカメチレン基、ペンタデカメチレン基等の炭素数1以上20以下の置換または無置換の鎖状または環状脂肪族基;

m=0のとき、上記一般式(1)は、下記一般式(2)となる。
R2として、具体的には、-(C=O)O-、-R3(C=O)O-に示される基(上記基中、R3は炭素数1以上4以下のアルキレン基である。)が挙げられる。上記一般式(1)に示した化合物の安定性や高屈折率化の観点では、R3がメチレン基であること、つまりR2が-CH2(C=O)O-基であることが好ましい。また、R2が-CH2(C=O)O-基であるとき、たとえばm=0、X1が硫黄原子であってもよい。さらに、R2が-CH2(C=O)O-基であるとき、m=0、X1が硫黄原子、n=pであってもよく、このとき上記一般式(1)は下記式(5)に示す化合物となる。

環を形成している場合、環を形成するアルキル鎖としては、メチレン基、エチレン基、プロピレン基、つまり炭素数1以上3以下のアルキレン基が挙げられる。環を形成するアルキル鎖は、好ましくは、エチレン基である。なお、ランタノイド原子であるMを含む環は、具体的には、4員環から6員環であり、環を構成する原子としては、ランタノイド原子であるMおよびC(炭素)が挙げられる。
また、環を構成する原子として、ランタノイド原子およびC(炭素)の他に、たとえばSやOを含んでもよい。ランタノイド原子が3価の原子であり、前記環がSを含む場合のランタノイド原子に結合する2価の基の具体例として、-S(CH2)2S-、-S(CH2)3S-、-S(CH2)2S(CH2)2S-が挙げられる。ランタノイド原子であるMを含む環がOを含む場合の前記Mに結合する2価の基の具体例として、-OC(O)C(O)O-、-OC(O)CH2C(O)O-が挙げられる。このような化合物は、たとえば、ランタノイド原子であるMの塩とチエタン化合物を反応させるときにシュウ酸を共存させることで、製造可能と考えられる。
ピリジン、2,2'-ビピリジン、1,10-フェナントロリン等のピリジン化合物;
ピリダジン、ピリミジン、プリン、ピラジン、1,8-ナフチリジン、ピラゾ-ル、イミダゾ-ル等の窒素複素環化合物;
ジメチルホルムアミド、ジメチルイミダゾリジノン等のアミド化合物;
アセトニトリル、プロピオニトリル等のニトリル化合物等を挙げることができる。
テトラヒドロフラン、1,4-ジオキサン、ジメトキシエタン、エチレングリコールモノメチルエーテル等のエーテル化合物;

上記一般式(101)におけるR2、Y、p、nとしては、上記一般式(1)と同様であり、R2、Yは、上記一般式(1)において前述したものである。

Bは共重合モノマーとの相溶性の観点からヘテロ原子を含む2価の基であれば良く、Bがヘテロ原子を含む2価の有機基である場合には、R2、R4の有機基と炭素原子、ヘテロ原子どちらで結合していても良い。具体的には以下に示す構造が好ましい。
一般式(112)では、屈折率や、樹脂成分への溶解性などの観点から、B中のヘテロ原子の数は、1以上5以下が好ましい。さらには、ヘテロ原子の数は、1以上2以下であることがより好ましい。
なお、下記一般式(113)の場合や、Bが上記一般式(112)である場合、R2は、-CH2(C=O)O-基あるいは、-(C=O)O-基であることが特に好ましい。なかでも、高屈折率化の観点から、-(C=O)O-基であることが好ましい。
また、一般式(113)の場合や、Bが上記一般式(112)である場合、p=nであることが好ましい。

本発明の重合性組成物は、上記一般式(0)に示した金属化合物を含む。この重合性組成物は、たとえば光学部品の材料として用いられる。
以下、各成分について、具体例を挙げて説明する。
本発明において用いられる活性水素化合物は、活性水素(たとえば、チオール基またはヒドロキシル基)を有する化合物であって、上記式(0)に示した化合物以外の化合物である。活性水素化合物は、具体的には、ポリオール化合物、ポリチオール化合物およびヒドロキシチオール化合物より選ばれる。
ジヒドロキシナフタレン、トリヒドロキシナフタレン、テトラヒドロキシナフタレン、ジヒドロキシベンゼン、ベンゼントリオール、ビフェニルテトラオール、ピロガロール、(ヒドロキシナフチル)ピロガロール、トリヒドロキシフェナントレン、ビスフェノールA、ビスフェノールF、キシリレングリコール、ジ(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)ベンゼン、ビスフェノールA-ビス-(2-ヒドロキシエチルエーテル)、テトラブロムビスフェノールA、テトラブロムビスフェノールA-ビス-(2-ヒドロキシエチルエーテル)等の芳香族ポリオール;

また、あらかじめチオール化合物とイソシアネート化合物を反応させて得られる反応物を重合生成物中に加えてもよい。
本発明において使用されるイソシアネート化合物は、分子内に1つ以上のイソシアネート基(NCO基)を含有する化合物である。イソシアネート化合物を加えることにより機械物性等がさらに改良される場合がある。
エポキシ化合物およびエピチオ化合物は、それぞれ、分子内に1つ以上のエポキシ基およびエピチオ基を含有する。また、好ましくはエポキシ基および/またはエピチオ基を合計2つ以上含有する化合物である。
水添ビスフェノールA、水添ビスフェノールF、シクロヘキサンジメタノール等の多価アルコール化合物と、エピハロヒドリン化合物との縮合により得られるアルコール系エポキシ化合物(たとえば、水添ビスフェノールAグリシジルエーテル、水添ビスフェノールFグリシジルエーテル)、およびエチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパントリグリシジルエーテル等のその他のアルコール系エポキシ化合物;
3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル-3',4'-エポキシシクロヘキサンカルボキシレートや1,2-ヘキサヒドロフタル酸ジグリシジルエステル等のグリシジルエステル系エポキシ化合物;および
一級および二級アミン化合物とエピハロヒドリン化合物との縮合により得られるアミン系エポキシ化合物(たとえば、イソシアヌル酸トリグリシジルエーテル)等が挙げられる。また、その他、4-ビニル-1-シクロヘキサンジエポキシドなどのビニルシクロヘキセンジエポキシド等の脂肪族多価エポキシ化合物等を挙げることができる。

水添ビスフェノールAグリシジルエーテル、水添ビスフェノールFグリシジルエーテル、エチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパントリグリシジルエーテル等のアルコール系エポキシ化合物;
3,4-エポキシシクロヘキシルメチル-3',4'-エポキシシクロヘキサンカルボキシレートや1,2-ヘキサヒドロフタル酸ジグリシジルエステル等のグリシジルエステル系エポキシ化合物;
イソシアヌル酸トリグリシジルエーテル等のアミン系エポキシ化合物等が挙げられる。また、その他、ビニルシクロヘキセンジエポキシド等の脂肪族多価エポキシ化合物等が挙げられる。
エポキシ化合物は、より好ましくは、ビス(2,3-エポキシプロピル)ジスルフィド、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル、ビスフェノールAグリシジルエーテル、ビスフェノールFグリシジルエーテル、エチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、トリメチロールプロパントリグリシジルエーテル、イソシアヌル酸トリグリシジルエーテルである。さらに好ましくは、1,4-シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテルおよびビスフェノールFグリシジルエーテルである。
エピチオ化合物として、具体的には、ビス(1,2-エピチオエチル)スルフィド、ビス(1,2-エピチオエチル)ジスルフィド、ビス(エピチオエチルチオ)メタン、ビス(エピチオエチルチオ)ベンゼン、ビス[4-(エピチオエチルチオ)フェニル]スルフィド、ビス[4-(エピチオエチルチオ)フェニル]メタン等のエピチオエチルチオ化合物;

チエタン化合物は、分子内に1つ以上のチエタニル基を含有する。上記式(0)に示した化合物がチエタニル基を有する場合、上記式(0)に示した化合物以外のチエタン化合物であれば、分子構造中に金属原子を含まない非金属チエタン化合物であってもよいし、分子構造中に金属原子を含む金属チエタン化合物であってもよい。また、チエタン化合物としては、たとえば上記一般式(0)に示した化合物と相溶するものであればいかなる構造を有する化合物でも使用できるが、好ましくはチエタニル基を合計2つ以上含有する化合物である。

特許文献2(特開2003-327583号公報)に記載の方法に従って、3-チエタノールを合成した。さらに得られた3-チエタノールを用い、3-メルカプトチエタンを合成した。
本例では、チエタニルチオ酢酸(下記式(8)に示す化合物)の合成を行った。

以下の実施例では、以上の製造例または実施例で製造したチエタン化合物を用いて重合性組成物を調製し、これを重合することにより硬化させて樹脂を得た。
得られた樹脂または光学部品(レンズ)の物性評価を下記の方法により行った。
外観:目視により透明性を確認した。
屈折率、アッベ数:プルフリッヒ屈折計を用いて20℃で測定した。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物1.5gを秤取し、実施例1で製造した化合物0.5gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを65℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。さらに80℃のオーブンに入れて2時間静置すると均一で透明な油状物が得られた。これを減圧脱気して110℃のオーブンで1日間重合した後に130℃で3時間重合した。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.642、アッベ数νe=37であった。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物1.0gを秤取し、実施例1で製造した化合物1.0gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを75℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。さらに100℃のオーブンに入れて1時間静置すると均一で透明な油状物が得られた。これを減圧脱気して110℃のオーブンで3日間重合した後に130℃で3時間重合した。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.658、アッベ数νe=40であった。実施例3と比較したところ、実施例1で製造した化合物の割合を増加することで屈折率およびアッベ数が向上する効果がみられた。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーにノルボルネンジイソシアネート2.17gを装入し、市販品のジブチルスズジクロリド1mgを装入して攪拌、溶解させた。これに4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタン1.83gを加えて均一になるまで撹拌した。これを減圧脱気して重合オーブン中で20℃から120℃まで徐々に昇温しながら21時間かけて重合した。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.623、アッベ数νe=38であった。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物0.25gを秤取し、実施例1で製造した化合物0.25gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを75℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。さらに100℃のオーブンに入れて1時間静置すると均一で透明な油状物が得られた。これに4-メルカプトメチル-1,8-ジメルカプト-3,6-ジチアオクタン0.48gを加えて均一になるまで撹拌した。その後、室温まで冷却してノルボルネンジイソシアネート0.57gを装入し撹拌した。これを減圧脱気して重合オーブン中で20℃から120℃まで徐々に昇温しながら21時間かけて重合した。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.634、アッベ数νe=39であった。比較例1と比較して、参考製造例2で製造した化合物を添加することで屈折率およびアッベ数が向上する効果がみられた。
本実施例では、トリス(チエタニルチオ酢酸)ネオジミウム(III)(下記式(11)に示す化合物)の合成を行った。
参考製造例2で合成したチエタニルチオ酢酸18.2g(0.11モル)に純水18.2gを加えた混合物を温水浴を用いて35℃まで昇温して撹拌、分散した溶液に、酸化ネオジミウム3.4g(0.01モル:市販品(和光純薬社製))を装入し、24時間撹拌して反応を行った。この溶液をろ過して不溶物を除去した後に200gのエタノールに排出、撹拌して晶析を行った。生成した薄紫色固形物をろ取してエタノールで洗浄後、減圧乾燥して目的のトリス(チエタニルチオ酢酸)ネオジミウム(III)を8.1g得た。収率は86%であった。

参考製造例2で合成したチエタニルチオ酢酸18.0g(0.11モル)に純水18.0gを加えた後に温水浴で35℃まで昇温して撹拌、分散した。この溶液に、酸化ガドリニウム3.6g(0.01モル:市販品(和光純薬社製))を投入し、2日間撹拌して反応を行った。この溶液をろ過して不溶物を除去した後に150gのエタノールに排出して晶析を行った。生成した白色固体をろ取してエタノールで洗浄後、減圧乾燥して目的のトリス(チエタニルチオ酢酸)ガドリニウム(III)を3.8g得た。収率は29%であった。
1H-NMR(溶媒:DMSO-d6、内部標準物質:TMS)幅広いピークが得られ、測定不能。

本実施例では、トリス(チエタニルチオ酢酸)セリウム(III)(下記式(13)に示す化合物)の合成を行った。
参考製造例2で合成したチエタニルチオ酢酸20.0g(0.12モル)に純水20.0gを加えた後に温水浴で35℃まで昇温して撹拌、分散した。この溶液に、炭酸セリウム6.0g(0.01モル:市販品(和光純薬社製))を投入し、2日間撹拌して反応を行った。この溶液をろ過して不溶物を除去した後に150gのエタノールに排出して晶析を行った。生成した白色固体をろ取してエタノールで洗浄後、減圧乾燥して目的のトリス(チエタニルチオ酢酸)セリウム(III)を11.2g得た。収率は89%であった。

室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物1.8gを秤取し、実施例6で製造した化合物1.2gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを70℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。得られた均一で透明な油状物を70℃のオーブン中で減圧脱気した後に80℃のオーブンに入れて14時間静置した。4時間かけて120℃まで昇温し、120℃で3日間重合した。
得られた樹脂の成型片は紫色で透明性良好であり、歪みのない外観良好なものであった。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率とアッベ数を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.649、アッベ数νe=37.6であった。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物1.2gを秤取し、実施例6で製造した化合物1.8gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを70℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。得られた均一で透明な油状物を70℃のオーブン中で減圧脱気した後に80℃のオーブンに入れて14時間静置した。4時間かけて120℃まで昇温し、120℃で3日間重合した。
得られた樹脂の成型片は紫色で透明性良好であり、歪みのない外観良好なものであった。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率とアッベ数を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.653、アッベ数νe=38.4であった。実施例4と比較して、実施例1で製造した化合物の割合を増やすと屈折率、アッベ数ともに増加する傾向が見られた。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物1.0gを秤取し、実施例7で製造した化合物1.0gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを70℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。得られた均一で透明な油状物を70℃のオーブン中で減圧脱気した後に80℃のオーブンに入れて14時間静置した。4時間かけて120℃まで昇温し、120℃で3日間重合した。
得られた樹脂の成型片は無色で透明性良好であり、歪みのない外観良好なものであった。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率とアッベ数を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.665、アッベ数νe=39.6であった。
室温(25℃)下、ガラスビーカーに参考製造例2で製造した化合物0.4gを秤取し、実施例8で製造した化合物1.6gを加えて撹拌、混合した。これを70℃に加熱し撹拌して溶解させた。得られた均一で透明な油状物を70℃のオーブン中で減圧脱気した後に80℃のオーブンに入れて14時間静置した。4時間かけて120℃まで昇温し、120℃で3日間重合した。
得られた樹脂の成型片は無色で透明性良好であり、歪みのない外観良好なものであった。
また、得られた樹脂の屈折率とアッベ数を測定したところ、屈折率ne=1.663、アッベ数νe=38.3であった。
攪拌機と温度計を備えた反応器にエタンジチオール(99.7g)、水(150g)を装入した。31%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液(55.6g)を滴下装入した後、室温で1時間攪拌を継続した。この混合液を5℃まで冷却した後、モノクロロ酢酸(20.0g)を水(150g)に溶解した水溶液を30分かけて滴下装入し、室温に戻して5時間攪拌を続けた。得られた反応混合物にトルエン(40g)を加えて過剰のエタンジチオールをトルエン層に抽出、分液して除去する操作を2回繰り返した。水層に35%塩酸を加えてpHを1にした後、酢酸エチル(200g)で2回抽出操作をおこなった。得られた酢酸エチル層を硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥した後、ろ過して塩を除去し、減圧濃縮して溶媒を留去した。得られたオイルをシリカゲルクロマトグラフィー(シリカゲル500g、ジクロロメタン/アセトン=7/1+酢酸0.2vol%)により精製して無色の液体(11.0g)を得た。分析の結果、生成物は2-メルカプトエチルチオ酢酸であった。得られた同定データおよび構造式(式(108))を以下に示す。

FAB(Neg)-MS(マトリクス:m-ニトロベンジルアルコール):m/z151(M-H)-
攪拌機と温度計を備えた反応器内に参考製造例3の化合物(6.48g)、水(150g)とDMF(150g)を装入し、攪拌しながら炭酸ランタン(2.5g)を装入した後、60℃まで昇温して10時間攪拌を継続した。固形物をろ過して除去した後、ろ液を減圧濃縮した。得られた濃縮液にアセトン(250g)を加えて攪拌すると無色の油状物が生じた。デカンテーションにてアセトン層を除去し、残った油状物を減圧乾燥して白色固体(4.2g)を得た。生成物は分析の結果2-メルカプトエチルチオ酢酸ランタン(III)であった。得られた同定データおよび構造式(式(106))を以下に示す。

FAB(Neg)-MS(マトリクス:DMDS、グリセリン):m/z591(M-H)-
攪拌機と温度計を備えた反応器内にN-アセチルシステイン(8.45g)、水(200g)を装入し、攪拌しながら炭酸ランタン(4.0g)を装入した後、40℃に昇温して10時間攪拌を継続した。固形物をろ過して除去した後、減圧濃縮して溶媒を留去した。濃縮液にアセトン(200g)を加えて攪拌し、生じた析出物をろ過により取り出し、減圧乾燥して白色固体(9.8g)を得た。分析の結果N-アセチルシステインのランタン錯体であった。得られた同定データおよび構造式(式(107))を以下に示す。

実施例13の化合物(2.0重量%)を2-メルカプトエタノール(7.9重量%)と4-メルカプトメチル-3,6-ジチアオクタン-1,8-ジチオール(31.7重量%)の混合液に溶解させた後、減圧下にて脱気した。これにあらかじめ減圧脱気したノルボルネンジイソシアネート(58.4重量%)を加えて冷却下5℃にて混合し、均一溶液を得た。この混合溶液を25℃~120℃まで20時間かけて徐々に昇温して重合し、透明な樹脂を得た。
得られた透明樹脂の物性値を表1に示す。
実施例15の各モノマーの組成を表1の組成に変えた以外は同様の操作を行った。得られた透明樹脂の物性値を表1に示す。
2-メルカプトエタノール(8.2重量%)と4-メルカプトメチル-3,6-ジチアオクタン-1,8-ジチオール(32.7重量%)の混合液を減圧下にて脱気した。ノルボルネンジイソシアネート(59.1重量%)に触媒のジブチル錫ジクロリド(0.15重量%)を溶解させて減圧脱気した溶液を先ほどのチオール混合液に加えて攪拌し、均一溶液を得た。この混合溶液を25℃~120℃まで20時間かけて徐々に昇温して重合し、透明樹脂を得た。
得られた透明樹脂の物性値を表1に示す。
実施例13の化合物(2.2重量%)を2-メルカプトエタノール(6.4重量%)と4-メルカプトメチル-3,6-ジチアオクタン-1,8-ジチオール(36.5重量%)の混合液に溶解させた後、減圧下にて脱気した。これにあらかじめ減圧脱気したキシレンジイソシアネート(54.9重量%)を加えて冷却下5℃にて混合し、均一な溶液を得た。この混合溶液を25℃~120℃まで20時間かけて徐々に昇温して重合し、透明な樹脂を得た。
得られた透明樹脂の物性値を表2に示す。
2-メルカプトエタノール(6.7重量%)と4-メルカプトメチル-3,6-ジチアオクタン-1,8-ジチオール(37.7重量%)の混合液を減圧下にて脱気した。ノルボルネンジイソシアネート(55.6重量%)に触媒のジブチル錫ジクロリド(0.035重量%)を溶解させて減圧脱気した溶液を先ほどのチオール混合液に加えて攪拌し、均一溶液を得た。この混合溶液を25℃~120℃まで20時間かけて徐々に昇温して重合し、透明な樹脂を得た。
得られた透明樹脂の物性値を表2に示す。
