L'invention porte sur une pompe pour rampe commune haute pression, qui comprend un piston (20) coulissant axialement à l'intérieur d'un siège (21), une came (25) venant en prise avec le piston (20) de façon à transmettre un mouvement de va-et-vient au piston (20), et des éléments (28) pour une prise entre la came (25) et le piston (20). Les éléments de prise (28) comprennent un rouleau disposé de façon à avoir une rotation folle sur la came (25).
