The present invention relates to a hollow member made of an electric resistance welded steel pipe, which is suitable for a use such as a stabilizer.
(electric resistance we Idea steel pipe for hollow article)およひその 造方法に係 り、とくに急速で短時間の加熱 (rapid heating for a short time)等の熱処理後の電縫溶接 部の強度向上に関する。 (Electric resistance we Idea steel pipe for hollow article) and its manufacturing method, especially for improving the strength of ERW welds after heat treatment such as rapid heating for a short time. Background art
In recent years, from the viewpoint of global environmental protection, automobile emission gas standards have been strengthened, and weight reduction of automobile bodies has been promoted to improve fuel efficiency. In recent years, one of the methods for reducing the weight of the car body has been directed to changing solid-core parts to hollow parts. This tendency is not an exception even in the case of stabilizers that suppress rolling of the automobile body during cornering (in the corners) and improve the stability of running at high speeds (bar steel). The weight of the car body has been reduced by switching from a solid product that uses steel to a hollow product that uses steel pipes (hollow stabilizer).
Oin. Such hollow products (hollow stabilizers) are usually made from seamless steel pipes made of electric-welded steel pipes in the cold and then formed into the desired shape, and then quenched or tempered. The product is subjected to tempering (quenching and tempering) and the like (thermal refining). Among them, electric resistance welded steel pipes are widely used as materials for hollow stabilizers because they are relatively inexpensive and have excellent accuracy of dimension. For example, in Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-58264, C: 0.35% or less, Si: 0.25% or less, Mn: 0.30 to 1.20%, Cr: less than 0.50%, N + O : 0. 0200% or less, Ti: 4 to 12 times the (N + O) in steel, Β: 0.0005 to 0 · 009% included, or Ca: 200 ppm or less and Z or b: CX 4 / The content of C, Si, Mn, Cr is adjusted so that the ideal critical diameter value is 1. Oin. Or more, and the carbon equivalent Ceq is 0. Steels for electric-welded steel pipes for hollow stabilizers, in which the C, Si, n, and Cr contents are adjusted to 60% or less, have been proposed.
Oin.
In Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-45,688, C: 0.35% or less, Si: 0.25% or less, Mn: 0.30 to 1.20%, Cr: less than 0.50%, N + O : 0. 0200% or less, Ti: 4 to 12 times the (N + O) in steel, B: 0.0005 to 0.009%, and certain la further contains Ca: 200ppm or less. l. C, Si, Mn, Cr so that Oin. Steel slabs with adjusted C, Si, Mn, and Cr contents so that the Ceq is 0.60% or less are subjected to hot rolling, and the milling temperature is adjusted. (Coiling temperature) A method for producing a steel for an electric-welded steel pipe for a hollow stabilizer, which is controlled to 570 to 690 ^, has been proposed.
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 6-93339 proposes a method for producing a high-strength, high-ductility electric resistance welded steel pipe that can be used for a stabilizer or the like. The technology described in JP-A-6-93339 is as follows: C: 0.18 to 28%, Si: 0.10 to 50%, Mn: 0.60 to 1.80%, Ti: 0 020-0.050%, Β: 0.0005-0.0050% included, Cr: 0.20-20.50%, Mo: 0.5% or less, Nb: 0.015-0. ERW pipes made of steel containing at least one of 050% or Ca: 0.0050% or less are subjected to normalizing treatment (850 to 95010) and then quenched. This is a method for producing a high-strength and highly ductile ERW steel pipe. Since it is relatively inexpensive and has excellent dimensional accuracy, ERW welded steel pipe is widely used as a hollow material. However, in the vicinity, further weight saving is aimed at, and the stress applied to the hollow product is also increased, and Japanese Patent Publication No. 1-58264, Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-45688, Japanese Patent Publication No. Hei 6-93339. Only the technology described in the publication has caused fatigue durability, particularly fatigue resistance of ERW welds. This is due to the lack of hardenability of the ERW weld, and in particular, after copper pipes are bent and formed into the desired shape in a cold state, they are rapidly heated and quenched by energization heating in a short time. When the quenching treatment was performed, the hardness after quenching of the electric-welded welded portion (hereinafter referred to as “hardness as quenching”) was lowered, and the fatigue durability of the member was sometimes lowered. Electrical heating is a method widely used in the quenching process of stabilizers, and decarburization in the atmosphere is noticeably generated. Since the heating time of 900 or more can be performed in a short time within 1 minute, It has the feature that decarburization can be prevented even by heating. If decarburization occurs, the predetermined surface hardness cannot be obtained and fatigue durability is reduced. The electric heating in this patent is a heating method in which the average heating rate from room temperature to a maximum heating temperature of 900 or more is at least 2 seconds, and when it reaches 900 or more, the time required for the heating is within 1 minute. The present invention solves the above-mentioned problems of the prior art, and can suppress a decrease in the quenching hardness of the electric resistance welded portion even when a quenching process is performed in which rapid heating is performed for a short time and quenching is performed. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a hollow member made of an electric resistance welded steel pipe, which is a member excellent in fatigue durability.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned purpose, the present inventors reduced the quenching hardness of the ERW welded part when the ERW welded steel pipe was subjected to quenching after rapid and short heating by means of current heating or the like. We studied earnestly about the factors that make it. As a result, the ERW welded pipe has a layer with a reduced carbon content in the ERW weld as shown in the concentration distribution of C by EP A (Electron Probe Micro-Analysis) shown in Fig. 3. When the width of the decarburized layer is increased, the rapid welding in a short time such as in general [] heat, the ERW weld can be re-coalized to a carbon amount equal to or greater than a predetermined value. It has been found that the hardenability of the ERW welds may be reduced and sufficient quenching hardness may not be ensured. The present inventors considered that this decarburized layer is unavoidable in ERW welding and is formed as follows. (1) During ERW welding, the joint is heated to the solid-liquid phase coexisting zone, and C concentrates in the liquid phase and decreases in the solid phase.
(2) The liquid phase enriched in C is discharged out of the ERW weld by an upset during joining, forming a bead. For this reason, only the solid phase with reduced C remains in the ERW weld, and a reduced-carbon layer is formed in the ERW weld.
Therefore, as a result of further research, the present inventors have determined that the heating rate, the maximum temperature reached, the soaking time, and the primary cooling rate up to the quenching start temperature among the quenching treatment conditions are reduced in the decarburized layer of the ERW weld. By adjusting so as to satisfy a specific relationship in relation to the width of the steel, the amount of C that can secure sufficient quenching hardness during the quenching process diffuses from the base metal part to the ERW welded part and is quenched. It has been found that the electric resistance welded portion hardness after the treatment can be set to a desired hardness and the fatigue durability of the member can be improved. First, the experimental results that were the basis of the present invention conducted by the present inventors will be described.
Using the hot-rolled steel sheet A having the composition shown in Table 1 as a steel pipe material, the steel pipe material is formed into an open tube on a substantially cylindrical shape, and then the ends of the open tube are butted together and subjected to electric resistance welding by high-frequency resistance welding. Or, it was further drawn to form ERW welded steel pipes with various decarburized layer widths (2h : 7 to 54 m). Next, these ERW welded pipes were quenched to the maximum temperature (maximum heating temperature) T at the heating rate V h after the quenching process consisting of the thermal cycle shown in Fig. 2, and maintained for a soaking time k. Immediately after that, it was cooled to the quenching start temperature Tq at the primary cooling rate V c and subjected to secondary cooling (rapid cooling).
After the quenching treatment, the hardness was measured and the hardness was determined as it was quenched. For the hardness measurement, Vickers hardness HV0.5 with a load of 500 g (test force: 4.9 N) was measured in the thickness direction of the base metal part and the ERW welded part, and the average value was measured for each part. Hardened and hardened. In the experiment, the heating rate V h , the ultimate temperature T, and the primary cooling rate V c were varied in various ways, and the cooling rate of secondary cooling (rapid cooling) was constant (80 / s).
W = C0 - (C0 - 0.09) exp (- (JC - y)2 /(4Dt))/ l 4j Dtdy … · (a) ここで、上記 (a)式の(C。

The estimation of the C content in the ERW weld is the C content at a distance X from the center in the width direction of the decarburized layer formed in the ERW weld of the steel pipe after the heat cycle during quenching. The following equation (a) is used. W = C 0 - (C 0 - 0.09) exp (- (JC - y) 2 / (4Dt)) / l 4j Dtdy ... · (a) where (a) above formula (C.- 0. 09 ) The meaning of the integral equation described below is that the width d is at the position of the distance da from the center in the width direction of the decarburized layer, and if there is an initial concentration of C, C is the base material part after time t. This shows how the concentration at the X position changes when it diffuses into the decarburized layer. Here, as an initial value, the C concentration in the decarburized layer formed during ERW welding is 0.09% C content from -h to + h in the width direction. A constant rectangular density was used. This is based on the fact that the C concentration of the decarburized layer formed during ERW welding is approximately 0.09 mass S % —regardless of the C concentration of the base metal and the welding conditions. Therefore, by integrating y from -h to + h with respect to y in the integral expressions described after (C.-0.09) in the above formula (a), Thus, the C content at the distance X of the central force in the width direction of the decarburized bed can be obtained.

The present invention has been completed with further studies based on the powerful findings.
First, in the present invention, an ERW welded steel pipe made of a steel plate and having a reduced coal layer width of 2 h (m) is used. The electric welded steel pipe to be used is made of a steel plate, formed, preferably continuously formed into a substantially cylindrical open pipe, and then the ends of the open pipe are butted together by high frequency welding. The steel pipe has an ERW weld with a reduced coal layer width of 2h (m). As shown in the upper diagram of Fig. 3, the reduced carbon layer width is measured by EPMA (Electron Probe Micro-Analysis) C analysis and white layer width measurement by nital etching ( It can be measured by various methods such as the middle figure in Fig. 3. However, as it is ERW welding, 10s or less at a temperature of 950 or more and less than 1000 ^, lmin or less at a temperature of 900T or more and less than 950, 800 ^: 2min or less at a temperature of 900 "^ or less, or 800 ° C For ERW welded steel pipes that have only been heat-treated at a temperature lower than It is relatively easy and clear to measure the layer where segregation lines are not observed in the ERW weld, that is, the so-called width of bond, by performing metal flow etching. It can be measured. Hereinafter, when the metal flow etching method can be used, the bond width 2h measured using the metal flow etching method is used as the decarburized layer width 2h.
In the present invention, the quenching treatment conditions are adjusted so as to satisfy the formula (1), corresponding to the measured bond width (decarburized layer width) 2 h.
In the present invention, the ERW welded steel pipe to be used is preferably subjected to a cold working to be processed into a desired member shape, and then subjected to a heat treatment comprising a quenching process or a tempering process to have a desired high strength. A member. The “quenching process” in the present invention is a rapid and short-time heat treatment as shown in FIG. That is, the primary cooling rate V immediately after heating to the maximum temperature reached (maximum heating temperature) T at the heating rate V h and holding the soaking time k. This is a process of cooling to the quenching start temperature Tq and then secondary cooling (rapid cooling). The rapid and short-time heat treatment in this patent means that the average heating rate from room temperature to the maximum heating temperature of 900 ° C or higher is 10 ° C / second or more, and the time when the temperature is 900 ° C or higher is 1 It is a heating method within minutes. The specific heating method is preferably energization heating.
In the quenching process of the present invention, the heating rate V h , the maximum heating temperature T, the soaking time k, and the primary cooling rate V c are adjusted so as to satisfy the following equation (1), and the quenching start temperature Tq is set to Ar: Temperature above 3 transformation points.

The right side of equation (1) is x = 0 in the above equation (a), and both sides are the C content C of the steel sheet. It was calculated by dividing by. In other words, the right side of equation (1) means that the specific force of the minimum C content (^ (0) of the ERW weld and the C content C 0 of the copper plate is 0.83 or more.
Heating rate V h , maximum heating temperature T, soaking time Primary cooling rate V. However, in the case of quenching that does not satisfy equation (1), it is impossible to recoal the C content in the ERW weld until the quenching hardness equivalent to that of the base metal can be secured. For this reason, the hardness of the welded part cannot be increased to a desired quenching hardness, and the durability of the manufactured member is reduced. The soaking time k includes the case of Os (no retention). In the present invention, the quenching start temperature Tq in the quenching process is set to a temperature exceeding the Ar 3 transformation point of the ERW weld. When the quenching start temperature Tq is below the Ar 3 transformation point, transformations such as ferri (Mferrite) and bainite begin before the start of secondary cooling (rapid cooling), and the electro-welded weld is made of 100% martensite ( martensite structure), the desired quenching hardness cannot be ensured, and the desired fatigue durability cannot be ensured. The Ar 3 transformation point of the ERW weld is substituted with the value (Ac 3 transformation point) calculated using the following formula. The Ac 3 transformation point is a safe value because it shifts to a higher temperature side than the Ar 3 transformation point in determining the quenching start temperature Tq.

The calculation formula for the Ac 3 transformation point was derived from Koda's translation: Lesley Iron and Copper Materials, (1985), p273, [Maruzen].
In addition, secondary cooling depends on the composition of the steel sheet, which is a raw material as long as the cooling conditions can produce a 100% martensite structure. In the case of a copper plate composition to be described later, it is preferable to perform a process of cooling to room temperature at a cooling rate of 30 or more on average from the quenching start temperature Tq. More preferably, it is 80 ° CZs or more. Secondary cooling is preferably water cooling or oil cooling from the viewpoint of productivity.
If heat treatment conditions for ERW welded steel pipes are set in advance, adjust the decarburized layer width of the ERW welded steel pipe to 2 W or less, which satisfies equation (1). It is necessary to keep it. In this case, first, the decarburized layer width 2h that satisfies the formula (1) under the set quenching conditions is obtained from the preset quenching conditions and the formula (1). It is preferable to adjust the electric resistance welding condition, particularly the heat input so that the width of the decarburized layer of the ERW weld is less than the calculated value. In this case, if the bond width of the ERW weld is too narrow, the additivity may be lowered. Therefore, a bending test etc. of the ERW weld will be performed to check the workability at the same time. It is important. If the workability of the ERW welded part decreases with ERW welding with a reduced carbonization layer width of 2h that satisfies equation (1), welding is performed so that the bond width is wider than the appropriate value during ERW welding. However, it is effective to continuously reduce the bond width by applying diameter reducing to the ERW welded steel pipe. For the diameter reduction, drawing using a die or the like, punching, rolling using a perforated roll, or the like is suitable. Further, the temperature of the diameter reduction may be cold, warm, or hot. Reduced diameter is especially reduced by using induction heating to 950 to 1000 ° C, 50 to 70% reduction of diameter and a finishing temperature of about 800 ° C. (Reducing rolling) is preferable. As shown in Fig. 4, the bond width (reduced coal layer width) 2h is narrowed by increasing the rolling reduction ratio during reduction rolling. can do. In Fig. 4, the bond width 2h was measured as the decarburized layer width. It should be noted that the decarbonized layer width 2h of the present invention is considered to be 900 or less within 1 minute at the longest after heating to 1000 in order to prevent decarburization in the conventional heating method. To 25 μπι or less, more preferably 16 / ζ m or less. Of course, from the viewpoint of heat treatment, the smaller the decarburized layer width, the more advantageous. However, as mentioned above, if the heat input during ERW welding is reduced to reduce the decarburized layer width, ERW welding is performed. As a result, defects such as cold welds are likely to occur in the joints, and therefore the width of the decarburized layer in ERW welding is preferably 望 ま し く μ ΐη or more, and more than 30 / xm. For those with reduced carbon width exceeding 30 / zm as-is welded, increase the rolling reduction ratio by reduction rolling etc., and mechanically reduce the reduced carbon width to 25 m or less. Is effective to make it smaller than 16 μπι.
In the present invention, following the quenching treatment described above, a tempering treatment may be performed as necessary to improve toughness. The heating temperature in the tempering treatment is preferably a temperature in the range of 150 to 450 ° C. If the tempering heating temperature is less than 150 ° C, the desired toughness cannot be secured. On the other hand, if it exceeds 450, the hardness decreases and the desired fatigue durability cannot be ensured.

Hereinafter, the reasons for limiting the composition will be described. Hereinafter, the mass% is simply expressed as%.
C : 0. 15〜0. 40% C: 0.15 ~ 0.40%
C is a useful element that increases the strength of steel by solid solution and precipitates as carbide and / or carbonitride and increases the strength after tempering. is there. In the present invention, the content of 0.15% or more is required in order to ensure the desired strength of the steel pipe and the strength after the desired quenching treatment as a member for a hollow stabilizer or the like. On the other hand, if the content exceeds 0.40%, the toughness after the quenching process decreases. For this reason, C is limited to the range of 0.15-0.40%. In addition, Preferably it is 0.20 to 0.35%.
Si : 0. 05〜0. 50%
Si: 0.05-0.50% Si is an element that acts as a deoxidizing agent. In order to obtain such an effect, it is necessary to contain 0.05% or more. On the other hand, even if the content exceeds 0.50%, the deoxidation effect is saturated, so the effect commensurate with the content cannot be expected, which is economically disadvantageous, and inclusions are likely to occur during ERW welding.
