Definitions
- the present invention relates to a material processing apparatus and a material processing method for recording each material as a file and transferring it to an editing device when recording materials such as video / audio used in a broadcast program, for example.
- broadcast program transmission material is stored in a recording / reproducing apparatus in advance, and the corresponding material is reproduced in accordance with a reproduction instruction to perform on-air operation.
- on-air processing normally, a material checking operation is performed in accordance with an on-air sequence before on-air.
- This material confirmation operation is performed by recording the material to be recorded by the recording / reproducing device, and simultaneously converting the material to be recorded into an MXF (material exchange format) file and transferring it to the editing device.
- MXF material exchange format
- the material being recorded when converted to an MXF file, if the material length is long, the material will not be stored in one MXF file, and the material will be divided for each timeline that has a data amount that can be transferred. May be the MXF file. In this case, timeline information of all recorded materials is recorded in the header portion of each of the plurality of MXF files.
- Patent Document 1 discloses a configuration for extracting and managing clip information related to content from content data recorded on an optical disc. Yes.
- the one described in Patent Document 1 is intended to smoothly reproduce data from the optical disc, and is not related to the modification of the header portion of each MXF file in accordance with the change in the data structure of the recording material.
- the timeline information of all the recording materials recorded in the header portion of each MXF file must be corrected.
- the operator is forced to perform complicated work.
- the larger the number of MXF files the more prominent.
- an object of the present invention is to provide a material processing apparatus and a material processing method capable of correcting timeline information easily and in a short time in accordance with changes in the data structure of recorded materials.
- a material processing apparatus encodes material data and records it in a recording medium, and includes a header portion including a clip from the recording data to the recording end from the recording start to the recording end. Analyzing the encoded data and transferring the encoded data to the editing device in the material processing device that generates the transfer data of the standardized file structure including the main body unit including the encoded data itself and transfers it to the editing device Header generating means that divides the time line into a data amount and inserts time line information indicating the order of transmission to the editing device for each time line into the header portion of the transfer data, and a header portion generated by the header generating means The divided data corresponding to the timeline information is inserted into the main body subsequent to, and the transfer data of one file is generated and output to the editing device.
- the file generation means After the file generation means generates the transfer data of one file of the first timeline that is the recording start time among the plurality of timelines for dividing the encoded data, the file generation means corresponds to the first timeline.
- a first clip information file including the timeline information of the clip is generated and output to the editing device, and after the generation of transfer data of one file of the second timeline following the first timeline is completed, the first and first A second clip information file that combines the timeline information of the clip corresponding to the timeline 2 and the link information necessary for linking to the transfer data of the first timeline, and outputs it to the editing device.
- the transfer data of one file of the third timeline following the second timeline After the generation of the transfer data of one file of the third timeline following the second timeline, it is included in the second clip information file.
- a third clip information file that combines the timeline information to be generated and the timeline information of the clip corresponding to the third timeline and the link information necessary for linking to the transfer data of the second timeline.
- Clip information file generating means for outputting to the editing device.
- the timeline information of the entire clip is not recorded in the header part of each video / audio / ancillary file, but the file itself is recorded. Only the timeline information is recorded, and separately from these files, a new clip information file that records only the timeline information of the current clip and the timeline information and link information of the previous clip is generated and edited. To output.
- the editing apparatus only needs to correct the clip information file in accordance with the change in the data structure of the recording material, and the timeline information can be corrected easily and in a short time.

- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a video / audio recording / reproducing apparatus and its peripheral configuration according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- reference numeral 1 denotes a video / audio recording / reproducing apparatus, which includes an encoder 11 and an MXF unit 12. Further, a recording medium M such as a disc is attached to the video / audio recording / reproducing apparatus 1 so as to be detachable. Further, an editing machine 2 is connected to the video / audio recording / reproducing apparatus 1.
- the video signal, audio signal, and ancillary signal input to the video / audio recording / reproducing apparatus 1 are compressed and encoded by the encoder 11 and recorded on the recording medium M. Simultaneously with this recording, the output of the encoder 11 is converted into an MXF file by the MXF unit 12 and output to the editing machine 2.
- the part from the start to the end of material recording is defined as a clip.
- the MXF unit 12 includes a header generation function 121, a file generation function 122, and a clip information generation function 123.
- the header generation function 121 analyzes video, audio, and ancillary encoded data, divides the data into timelines, and inserts timeline information indicating the transmission order to the editing machine 2 into the header portion of the MXF file for each timeline. To do.
- the file generation function 122 inserts the divided data corresponding to the timeline information into the body part following the header part generated by the header generation function 121 for each of video, audio, and ancillary, and generates an MXF file. Output to 2.
- the clip information generation function 123 converts the current clip timeline information, the previous clip timeline information, and the previous MXF file for each timeline.
- a clip information MXF file combined with link information necessary for connection is generated and output to the editing machine 2.
- FIG. 2 shows the structure of the MXF file.
- the configuration of the MXF file is roughly divided into a header part, a body part, and a footer part.
- the header portion mainly describes metadata, and the metadata further includes a material package and a file package.
- the file package is the information of the input material, and the material package is the timeline information of the output clip.
- the body part mainly stores data bodies such as video / audio / ancillary data.
- the footer part mainly contains index information (SMPTE377M).
- MXF files There are several formats (operational patterns) for MXF files, but here we assume MXF files of the format OP-Atom.
- OP-Atom is a format in which only one track information is recorded in one file (SMPTE390M).
- SMPTE390M a format in which only one track information is recorded in one file.
- each track When converting the material being recorded into an MXF file, if the material length is long, each track may not fit in one MXF file and may become a plurality of MXF files.
- timeline information of all data from 1 to Nth was recorded in the material package of each Nth (N is an integer) MXF file.
- N is an integer
- the timeline information of the clip is distributed to all MXF files constituting the clip.
- the timeline information of the current clip as shown in FIG. 5, the timeline information of the entire clip up to the previous file, and link information to the MXF file of the previous file are included.
- the described MXF file (which will be referred to as clip information MXF file) is created.
- the clip information MXF file is updated and transferred every time the creation of the MXF file for all Nth tracks is completed. In this configuration, information on the entire clip is collected only in the clip information MXF file.
- FIG. 6 is a flowchart showing the MXF file generation processing operation by the MXF unit 12.
- the MXF conversion unit 12 analyzes the contents of each encoded data of video, audio, and ancillary being recorded (step ST6a), and when the material length exceeds the data amount that can be transferred to the editing machine 2,
- Each encoded data is divided into a plurality of timelines (step ST6b), and for each timeline, the timeline information of the file itself is inserted into the metadata of the header part (step ST6c).
- the MXF unit 12 inserts encoded data bodies of video, audio, and ancillary into the body part following the header part (step ST6d), generates one MXF file, and outputs it to the editor 2 ( Step ST6e).
- the MXF conversion unit 12 is necessary for linking to the timeline information of the current clip and the timeline information of the clip up to the previous file and the MXF file of the previous file for each timeline.
- a clip information MXF file combined with various link information is generated and output to the editing machine 2 (step ST6f). Note that the clip information MXF file of the timeline at the start of recording includes only the timeline information of the clip (video 1, audio 1, ancillary 1).
- steps ST6a to ST6f are repeatedly executed until the recording is completed.
- the header generation function 121 of the MXF conversion unit 12 clips to the header portion of each video / audio / ancillary MXF file.
