 貴金属イオンまたは貴金属錯体を含有する水溶液に繊維を浸し、前記水溶液にγ線または電子線を照射することを特徴とする繊維の抗菌処理方法、抗菌性繊維の製造方法。貴金属イオンまたは貴金属錯体を構成する貴金属が、金、銀、白金、パラジウム、ルテニウム、ロジウム、イリジウムおよびレニウムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の貴金属である繊維の抗菌処理方法、抗菌性繊維の製造方法。および、前記製造方法により製造された抗菌性繊維。
