Abstract

 波長変換器及びそれを用いた発光装置において、半導体物質からなる無機蛍光体を含む波長変換器からの蛍光のピーク波長の波長分布の分散を小さくして、色要素による識別情報の識別精度を向上させる。  波長変換器の構成を、半導体物質からなり、入射光の吸収に基づいて入射光の最短波長より長い波長をピーク波長とする第1の蛍光を発生する第1の量子ドット蛍光体1の蛍光体群と、半導体物質からなり、入射光の吸収に基づいて入射光の最短波長より長く第1の蛍光とピーク波長の異なる第2の蛍光を発生する第2の量子ドット蛍光体2の蛍光体群と、それらの蛍光体群を構成する量子ドット蛍光体を分散保持する分散保持体10とを含む構成とする。また、発光装置の構成を、光源からの光をこの波長変換器によって所定の視感色の光に変換する構成とする。
