Abstract

The present invention discloses a light emitting diode device and a manufacturing method thereof. The light emitting diode device includes: a light emitting diode chip and a fluorescent material. The fluorescent material comprises at least a compound selected from a group consisted of an europium-activated alkaline earth oxide, an europium-activated silicate, and an europium-activated phosphonate peroxide. The fluorescent material will absorb a portion of the initial color light emitted by the light emitting diode and emit a fluorescent light with a wavelength different from the initial color light. The fluorescent light will mix with the initial color light so that the light emitting diode device becomes a light source with multiple wavelengths.
