Abstract
Plusieurs modes de réalisation de dispositifs, systèmes et procédés de modification d'un appendice auriculaire tel que l'appendice auriculaire gauche (LAA) sont exposés. Dans un mode de réalisation, un dispositif comprend un corps qui est pliable et auto-extensible. Le corps comprend une surface texturée présentant des parties saillantes et des parties encastrées. Le corps peut être formé par une mousse réticulée et peut présenter une géométrie substantiellement sphérique ou une géométrie sphérique tronquée. Le corps peut être substantiellement creux. Dans un mode de réalisation, des parties de la surface texturée peuvent être métallisées ou avoir un revêtement placé sur celles-ci pour améliorer l'engagement frictionnel du corps avec la paroi de l'appendice auriculaire. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, un sac en filet est disposé à l'intérieur d'un LAA et un ou plusieurs corps auto-extensibles sont disposés à l'intérieur du sac en filet. Le sac en filet est alors fixé pour retenir les corps auto-extensibles à l'intérieur du sac et du LAA.
