Abstract

 本発明は、充電時にデンドライトの生成がなく、充放電時に電極の損傷も起こらない二次電池用負極活物質およびそれを用いた二次電池、並びに電解液の劣化がなく、電圧降下が無く高い電圧を得ることが可能な空気二次電池を提供することを目的とする。本発明の第1発明に係る二次電池は、ガリウムと、リチウムと、融点がアルミニウムの融点以下の金属からなる群から選択された少なくとも1種の金属としてのアルミニウムと、を含有し、充電時には少なくとも前記リチウムを含む液相を有する二次電池用負極活物質4dが収納保持された負極4を備える。本発明の第1発明に係る二次電池は、正極2と、負極4と正極2の間に配置されたイオン伝導性電解液と、をさらに備える。前記リチウムは、放電時にはイオンとして前記電解液内に拡散し、充電時には前記イオンが二次電池用負極活物質4dの表面で再び金属に戻り、二次電池用負極活物質4d内へ拡散するように構成されている。
