Abstract

回転割出し装置で、割出し後の回転軸の保持を確実かつ安定したものとする。ハウジング２内で回転自在に設けられ端部に円テーブル３が固定される回転軸４と、回転軸４を含む回転体５に対し回転軸４の半径方向へ押圧力を作用させて回転体５の割出し後の回転角度位置を保持するクランプ装置６とを含む、工作機械の回転割出し装置１において、クランプ装置６は、ハウジング２内で回転軸４の軸線の方向に変位可能に設けられ、側面にテーパ面８が形成されたピストン部材７と、回転体５とピストン部材７との間に介装され、ピストン部材７の変位に伴ってピストン部材７から回転軸４の回転軸線の方向への押圧力を受けると共に、その押圧力を回転軸４の半径方向に変換して回転体５へ作用させる押圧力変換手段９と、ピストン部材７を押圧力変換手段９により押圧力を発生させる方向へ付勢する付勢手段１０とを含む。
