Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à un processus de production d'un cordon composite caoutchouc-acier, qui, même si une partie centrale est recouverte au préalable d'un caoutchouc non vulcanisé, ne présente pas de problème de disposition d'étirage de filaments de gaine. En outre, l'invention concerne un cordon composite caoutchouc-acier, avantageux en termes de pénétration de caoutchouc et présentant une résistance de cordon élevée. Le processus sert à la production d'un cordon composite caoutchouc-acier dont la structure est composée d'une partie centrale (1) composée d'un filament central (11) ou plus, et de multiples filaments de gaine (12, 13) disposés autour du ou des filaments centraux. Le processus servant à la production du cordon composite caoutchouc-acier comprend les étapes consistant à : recouvrir, tout en faisant passer la partie centrale à travers une ouverture annulaire, la périphérie de la partie centrale avec un caoutchouc non vulcanisé ; puis à entrelacer les filaments de gaine autour de la périphérie de la partie centrale recouverte avec le caoutchouc non vulcanisé. Quant à l'ouverture annulaire, on utilise un passage d'accès de la partie centrale ayant sensiblement la même configuration en coupe que celle de la partie centrale.
