Abstract

 液晶表示装置(1)は、透過領域のカラーフィルター(22)に開口部(22a)が形成され、前記透過領域に、入射する光の強度を検出するライトセンサー(14)が形成され、ライトセンサー(14)に入射する光は、開口部(22a)を通過してライトセンサー(14)に直接入射する。これにより、ドット領域毎に光検出素子を備え、透過領域の開口率の低下を抑制した液晶表示装置および電子機器を提供することができる。
